^I think Marcus not joining not only makes more sense, it could make the story more interesting as we would then have at least one player's character outside of the department. My plan for him is probably for him to start taking self-defense classes (these would be skipped over to save time) and maybe start investigating on his own, inevitably leading to him either bumping in to, or being in the same place as, the other characters. It suits his character more anyway. Thanks

EDIT- Also, I've noticed that I seem to be keeping everyone back by not posting frequently enough, and I'm away a fair bit in the summer, so this would be less disruptive because you won't be constantly waiting for my character to respond.

He's a little socially awkward and would feel uncomfortable trying to change the group's direction, and would rather go with what everyone else decides, thinking that he's more likely to earn their trust if he just does what they say.

Which injuries are you likely to get in a collapsing building, that you can recover from? i was going to say a few fractures but I just wanted to check.
