Are you talking about after they receive the mutation treatment or before? Before it, they're pretty much escorted to where it happens and have it happen, during which they're put to sleep. After, and after the initial tests and whatnot have been done, they're sent to the living levels, which they essentially have free reign of for the entire time they're there. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I think I am asking my question wrong before.

I ment to ask, what happens to the new subjects when they first arrive to facility?

Do they go to medical section for initial tests or do they go somewhere else? -Dances-

The transition to the facility and the mutation catalyst injection are done while they are still asleep, so the sleep that they go into before being transported and the one that they are in while being injected are one and the same. Afterwards, they would wake up in a medical chamber after being checked for any abnormal side effect or reaction that may have been caused by it. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
