Funny thing about the Internet.

I type a comment on the Dragon Age video saying something along the lines of "Although I disagree with him, I can kind of see where _____ is coming from and why he is doing those things. But that does not mean I support him."

Someone then responds by accusing me of supporting genocidal dictators, accusing me of seeing nothing wrong with that character's actions despite all claims to the contrary. Basically ignoring about half of what I said to call me 'disgusting' and 'appalling' because I did not 100% condemn a character he doesn't like or even show any desire to understand.

And no, it was not a discussion about Loghain or a Bhelen/Harrowmont debate. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Yep. That happens. For some reason, people feel way more justified in accusing you of horrible deeds simply because your opinion differs from theirs when they're completely anonymous and know there's nothing you can do about it besides waste time arguing.

Go out to a public plaza if you want to have a civilized conversation without being accused of being Mr. Genocidal Maniac, ya nerd.

EDIT: Hey now, you can't censor the name of the WW2 German Leader! That's just refusing to acknowledge history!

All that over a fantasy video game? Some people do seem to treat their video games pretty seriously. The user simply did not understand what you were saying; argument from ignorance. Though I will admit I have not really fully played any Dragon Age game, only playing the first for a tiny bit a few years ago (I still have it on Steam), I think I can still comment about it.

If that user found you disgusting for your honesty regarding a VIDEO GAME, well, let's just say it's best he never meets me in real-life XD

Anyways, I will be working on my RP soon, for Annie and Chasers. Speaking of which, I am hoping that all users involved in my RP are having a fun time, and as always, if any user has any suggestions, wants changes, or what have you, you're always welcome to mention so.

It really sucks. What's the point of keeping the Genocidal Maniac aspect of your personality under wraps if people are going to call you out on it anyways? Am I right?

EDIT AGAIN: It can be you waking up in a hospital, shortly after you discharge from the hospital, whatever setting you wish it to take place in, as long as it's no more than a week after the incident. I'm leaving the extent of the injuries and everything that your character's gone through since then to your discretion.

Ah Dragon age, a very fun game, cant believe it would make that kind of an argument.

What world of dragon age is very interesting if you break it down. The first game, dealing with plague ridden monsters, or blighted creatures, that just want to end all that isn't like them. Lead by a monster dragon like monster that they call an Archdemon. which is a dragon infected with the blight

They also have demons in the game, that are completely different from blighted creatures and the 'archdemon'. Demons of all kinds taking all the desires and emotions of people. From fear, pride, hunger, rage and what not.

Then the idea of magic and mages is different. Then most games, it is a very fun and unique game

So many elements would make for a very fun rp. Some stuff I have tried to use in rps I created before here(unsuccessfully)
and nothing was spoiled :P

Lucky showed to have a very strong protective instinct around his sister. While he only protected his sister during the attack and didn't act offensively, he shows promise. Loyalty and protection are highly valued, and his desire to follow in his late mother's footsteps (as evidenced when he began the process of enrolling into the Ground Forces) means he would be a welcome addition to the team.

Plus, although you all have specific reasons for being picked, you all survived the attack. Presumably, you'll have some personal stake in any Discord-related assignments after they tried to kill you.
