Wanna take a wild guess at who just read your whole story through in one go?
well, I have one story down, and 4 to go.
I really liked it, and I will continue to follow the adventures of Tash & friends as you write them, now you just need to repay the favor.
Story #1 A Dragons' Day
Story #2 Sandstone (Coming soon ;) )

I feel obligated to actually say something that might actually contribute to the general quality of the thread, but that's a bit challenging, seeing as there isn't much new writing, and I'm impeded by my new found and almost entirely illogical fascination with The Scream, by Edvard Munch. If it weren't vertically oriented it would be my background, on my EPIC NEW FANCY COMPUTER. Cough cough.

"Tash..."
The tension in the air made it feel as though pebbles would start to float. Lying in a lump on the ground was the boy and peering down from an overshadowing rooftop was the magician. Seven years felt like a blink of an eye as the two men were once again face to face.
"It's been a while hasn't it, boy?" The elder man leapt down from his perch and cushioned his landing with a few air runes in his boots. "My, you've certainly grown." He looked at the hilt protruding from his back. "I see you've kept your dear cat with you as well."
The boy heaved himself up with his new found strength from his boiling veins. "You've been hiding out in a kingdom all this time? I should've stopped by more often."
The magician shrugged. "I needed some supplies. You should see the magical hoard they have stashed away in that big castle."
The boy stopped to look over the man before him. His trademark hairstyle remained with the black flame looking part sticking up in his bangs surrounded by black silky hair. Another tattered, burgundy cloak concealed his chest and arms, but it was safe to assume that runes lined the inside in their own little pouches. Dull black pants finished off his raggedy appearance, yet he still maintained an aura of superiority around him. On the other hand, the worn out warrior stood with an exposed chest, dirtied pants, and a sword slung over his back.
The two stood almost as statues in the empty square. No living soul was in sight, since Jeros had run off long before the battle between Tash and Aldford had picked up. The street was littered not with trash but scars in the rocks from magical pressures carved into it.
"I assume you've been looking for me for quite some time now, right?" questioned the elder. He slid his hands into his cloak pockets and relaxed. "You obviously haven't left the past behind us."

No verbal response was returned as Daskal was drawn from his sheath and rushed towards the man in a forward stab. A burst of magic stopped the blade in its tracks caused by some body, nature, and earth runes. The clash dispersed and the boy quickly moved in for an upward, vertical slash, but was again stopped mid swing by the same stunning force. This time a counter attack was in store in the form of a close range burst of water directed at the boy's face.
The two now had a much larger gap. Leaving no time to recover, the wise mage lobbed a barrage of earth attacks at his opponent in no particularly organized fashion. The boy dodge rolled to the side and leapt up to his feet. He took off in a semicircle sprint around his target and shot off bolts of fire periodically as he worked his way to the opposite side of where he originally was.
"Quite energetic, especially after that beating you just took from the ruffian in the street," taunted the cloaked man. "Are you still going by 'The Boy' or did you ever settle upon a true name by any chance?"
The boy wiped beads of sweat from his forehead. "Funny you should ask," He laughed, "I've actually been going by the name Tash ever since I met you; just so that I'd never forget your name."
"I must say, I don't recall knowing any other Tash's my whole life. This is a sort of nice twist, yet also takes away some of my originality." The original Tash dug around inside the pockets of his coat. "But since it's been so long since the two of us spoke, why don't I show you some of the new tricks I've discovered?"
Tash slapped his palm against the ground to spike out a clump of earth in the shape of a little man. The skill of his sheer creative talents was magnificent. The curves and edges were so smooth; the details were so intricate, all the way down to the slots on the top of its head.

"If you're curious, I've decided to call these things golems." The mage placed a palm on the skull of the lifeless, rock golem. "I've discovered that I can just summon up one of these, implant a few runes, and let it feed off the magical essence in the air and substances around it. Rather nifty wouldn't you say?" The young Tash remained silent with a stern look across his face as his opponent grinned. "Now I'll just go ahead and bring it to life for you." He pushed a set of soul, mind, body, and blood runes into the slots on the golem's head then pressed out the magical presence of the runes into the rock.
From across the square, Tash watched as the hollow eyes of the rock began to glow. The hanging arms and legs grinded against the joints as it began to move. It was almost half the height of an average man, but was bulky like a dwarf. The young warrior stood with caution as this new threat edged its way towards him.
"Now don't worry," began the elder Tash, "it's just getting used to having limbs made of stone. It'll pick up its pace any moment now."
The boy's eyes widened as the stone golem did just as its master said it would and broke out into a sprint. Its right arm was raised and thrown directly into the target's gut. The boy coughed hoarsely as the wind was knocked out of him, yet he was left with no time to recover as a blast of magic caught him with an uppercut from his mini opponent. He was lifted from the ground a good couple of feet before the golem bounded from the ground to go in for another attack. The stony little fingers clutched onto Tash's waist as the other arm came in with another punch but immediately followed through with a shock of magic propelling its victim backwards into the side of a house.

"My, my, you've taken quite a beating. I'm not even sure if you're still conscious." The mage chuckled as he walked over to his golem. "It would appear that you still have much to learn before trying to take me on again, or maybe you should conserve your strength before coming to face me. Who knows? I may even let you fight me alone next time." The golem started to crumble into dust under his palm. "You should rest up until then though."
And with that the man that the boy had been looking for over the past seven years walked off. Lying unconscious at the side of a house the boy was once again defeated. His opponent was still much too strong for him, and he knew it well.
