Tash and Magenta rushed into their room. The bedroom was pitch-black apart from the light shining in from the doorway, and Tash scrambled across the room to open the blinds on the windows across from them. To their right was a queen-size bed adorned in fluffy sheets and somewhere around eight plump pillows. On either side of the bed were plain wooden nightstands. Opposing the bed was a large dresser with a mirror mounted on top.
"Geez, this is his guest room?" muttered Tash as he maneuvered around the welcoming bedroom. He sat down on the bed and pushed his hand into the mattress. It was a world apart from his hay filled mat back in his tent. "I'm assuming you're fine with sleeping in the same bed," he asked Magenta while still transfixed on the mattress, "because there's no way you'll ever get me to pass up sleeping on this."
Magenta laughed. "Just as long as you don't try anything." Tash chuckled in response. She walked over next to Tash on the bed and collapsed backwards onto the sheets. "This is pretty amazing." She glanced to Tash, who was looking around the room, then tilted her head back and closed her eyes.
Morning struck the two travelers with a bolt of light. The girl jolted up from the massive bed. She shook her head back and forth to gain her bearings and remember why she was in such a fancy suite. To her right she noticed a mound of sheets with a man’s head poking out from the top.
"Oh right, we're at Milburn's house." Magenta yawned and twirled around to get off the mattress. She brushed off her white, silk nightgown as she took a look outside. The sun was up and people were roaming around the town. "Hey Tash," she spoke back to the clump of blankets, "wake up. It's a brand new day." No response. She sighed while marching over to him. "Tash," she whispered, "oh Tash. Come on, wake up." Still nothing. "Well fine then." She took a few steps back then took a giant stride forward and leapt onto the sleeping man to startle him awake.
