"So now that your friends are here do you have to leave?" Tash asked as the animals finished checking him over.
Rosco turned to the pack leader. "Ra ra gra grar ra?" It was interesting that he used a questioning tone. It was like a child asking their parents if they could stay with their friends for a little while longer. The wolf replied with more growling and Rosco smiled. "I told him about the magic you showed me and he asked if he could see how it's used."
"You can say an awful lot in such few, err, grumbles."
"In the wolf language, most phrases are stuck into a single growl. So a lot can be said in a short conversation."
Tash nodded. "I understand. So he says he wants to see how it's used? Gimme' a second." He sprinted off to his tent and slid inside. Reemerging first was his hand gripped around a pouch of runes. They sailed into Rosco's hands as Tash strolled back over. "I guess if I really want you to get it all I should let you have at it on your own. It's really pretty simple. You've got four elemental runes: air, water, earth, and fire, which can be distinguished by the designs on the runes. Then there are mind, chaos, death, and blood runes which you need for combat spells with the elemental runes. Keep in mind that for every combat spell you need air runes. Body, Nature, Cosmic, and Soul runes are for more awkward spells, I don't know too many. And lastly you have Law runes, which I told you are for teleportation." Rosco was getting jittery with the pouch in his hands. "You can also get creative. Just think about how it would happen in nature and try to add those sorts of elements to make a spell, that’s how I figured out a couple. Now listen carefully, no matter what happens, do not ever try to use all the runes, or an increasingly large amount, anywhere between one and five of each should work fine."
