The ground met Tash's feet with a thump as he leapt off of the stump. He took a couple stern steps towards an area that did not have any tree branches covering it. He dropped his head to face the earth below him and took in a deep breath. His knees bent outward as he moved to a squatting position and then sprung back upwards into the air. At the peak of his jump he clapped together his hands and shot out a wave of air at the ground which caused a force to ricochet back up and blast Tash further into the sky. The force was strong enough to send him high over the treetops and give him a clear view of the surrounding forest. His efforts proved fruitful as off in the distance he could make out an existence of some sort of wooden structure. From here it appeared as just a large wooden board supported by four trees and it was only a little ways to the south. The joy of finding his destination was quickly wiped from Tash's mind as the realization that he was falling back down to the earth came to him. Acting fast he reached into his pocket and retrieved the left over runes and shot another spell at the ground. This time the dirt was bombarded with a wave of water which turned into a mucky mud pit, but was just enough to cushion Tash's landing.
"Well that plan certainly worked well; apart from the slight damage to my boots." Tash pulled himself out of the muddy depression which caked his legs with mud up to his knees. "Now to not forget my direction," he muttered with a hand in his rune pouch, "I'll just shoot a bolt of fire through the trees leading to that place I saw." A group of fire, air, and chaos runes met together in a clap and were directed southwards through the trees. Each one that was hit was left with a small hole drilled through it large enough to stuff a finger inside.

The markers made the rest of the trip an easy one and Tash quickly stumbled out of the thick overgrowth surrounding the open ground covered by the wooden overhang. Only one thing out of the ordinary was in the clearing and that was a wide crevice in the ground right in the middle of the area. Tash casually marched over to the whole and peered inside. For as far as his sight could reach it was only darkness. He nudged a fist sized rock into the pit with his foot to try and tell how deep it was, and after a couple seconds he heard a thunk as it hit the cave floor deep below. He spent another half of a minute gazing into the black abyss debating whether or not he should descend into the dark depths. His decision was set as a blast of fire lit up the bottom corridor of the cave. There was definitely some sort of fiery beast down there.

"Now to just get down without breaking my legs." The fire from the previous blast had given a decent view of the hardened rock that made up the catacombs beneath him. A simple water spell would prove much less effective against this surface as opposed to the one he had previously turned to mud. He reached a hand over the edge to test the sturdiness of the rock that formed the walls of the hole as well as to check for any breaks in the rock that could be used as handholds. Sadly the earth felt smooth with only a couple miniscule bumps. "I guess I'll have to make them myself," groaned Tash as he dug through his rune pouch. He retrieved some earth, air, and mind runes then divided up the group into individual spells. "Let's hope this works." He laid down on the ground and gripped one spells worth of runes in between the fingers of his left hand and made a fist. Reaching as for down as possible he punched into the rock which caused the runes in his hand to form a spell and strike into the rock making a hole deep enough to fit Tash’s foot in. "Good, my hand isn't broken."
Now knowing that his method would work Tash punched another hole next to the first one. He shifted his body around to be sitting on the edge of the hole with his feet dangling off the side. The mud was still fresh and sticky, which was a good thing for him. He pulled his feet back out of the hole and shoved more runes for a spell into the mud on the toe of his boots then began his descent into the crevice. His body was halfway into the darkened pit and supported by his feet in the man made footholds and by his hands on the edge of the ground. One foot backed out of the hold, reached down lower, rose backwards, kicked into the rock, and came to rest in a new hold. Tash proceeded to do the same with the opposite foot then crept down to move his hands into the first two slots.
