I jusr re-read it. I think it was better when you had Garth use a granite dagger than a steel dagger. But, ah, doesn't matter, as long as it's Garth who;s using it.
I dont thing granite would do well as a blade anyways. If you think about it, RuneScape technology is a little bit less than ours. They would have to chisel out the granite to make a blade and it wouldn't be as sharp as other daggers. Granite does much better as a crush weapon.
Oh yeah almost forgot! Nice story! Haven't read the original, but its probably really good!

Granite would chip more easily; but it'd be more of a crude, chippy and yet deadly weapon. Less reliable than Steel I would think, but it is Elite's story, and logic doesn't have to apply for every single story.
I already changed his second dagger, again. It is now 'a curved dagger with a jagged edge, specially designed for stealthy kills and easy penetration of the flesh.'
