It is here where our story starts and as all great stories do it started with a bang!

Chapter 1: The Gathering

A loud blast sounded off in the distance behind a large blue and gold tower it stood like a fortress surrounded by crystal clear lakes and lush forest. A small square window near the top of the tower began to glow with light and figures began rushing past, it wasn't long before most of the windows began to glow and bells began to ring. A young lad clinging onto books and scraps of paper rushed through the large stone hallway, ignoring every other person along the way he dared not glance at any of them and kept his eyes firmly towards the floor. His Turquoise robe fitted him perfectly it was long enough to cover his ankles but not drag across the floor and at the bottom in the middle was stitched two golden strokes. The lad noticed no one was longer around him and so he lifted his head and began to run up the tower stairwell. He swung open a large engraved door, dropped to his knees and kissed the floor. "Magister Sardois!" The lad spoke trying not to mumble or stutter.
"Rise Maldor." A thundering voice spoke across the large chamber. The Chamber Was littered with bookcases finely organised, the floor had a pattern of a large golden four pointed star. Along the walls hung paintings of men and memorials. But it was in the centre of the wall an empty frame without a plaque sat, It stuck out like a light in the darkness.
The young lad quickly lifted off the ground bowing once more before taking his straighten stance. His gaze drifted off the floor and towards the source of the voice, A large ivory throne sat in the middle, White trim of a robe hugged the floor before fading to blue as his gaze moved up, A golden coated metal swung around its sides and on its chest another golden four pointed star. Long white hair fell over his shoulders and a beard finely cut into a four pointed star lay on his chin. The man was very old his face weather beaten and eyes pure white,

A scar slid down from his forehead across his right eye to his cheekbone that stuck firmly out.
"Show me Maldor, Show me why you seek my counsel at this hour!" The Magister grunted towards the lad frozen still in the doorway.
The lad quickly moved towards the Magister's table and laid his books across it knocking off a large roll of parchment. The large parchment was in fact a portrait of a young man with white hair and a goatee who very much resembled the Magister.
"Pick hi-IT up and put it back in the chest!" The Magister screeched at the boy.
Maldor's hands began to nervously shake as he leaped towards the floor and rolled the painting up before returning it to the large oak chest.
"I'm sorr-" Before Maldor could finish
"Get on with it boy." Magister Sardois waved his hand.
"Yes my Lord, Something has happened in the Emporium. The energy..."
"Maldor, Look at my eyes... What color would they be?" Sardois questioned the boy before he could continue.
"Whi-white my Lord" the lad nervously replied,
"Yes! White... I may be blind but my ears still serve me!" The Magister smirked.
"I didn't mean anything by it my Lord, Im sorry." Maldor bowed his head to his Lord.
"Maldor I am the eldest Magister alive. No human has ever lived this long! I am old...but i am not a fool!" The Magister spoke softly to the lad.
"Ride for Nar tonight! Seek out Magister Rahn in the Grand Cathedral, we shall gather the council in four days time!" The Magister had given his orders and the lad bowed and turned for the door.
"Oh and Maldor... Forget about the painting!" Maldor nodded before quietly rushing out of the chamber, closing the door behind him and wishing that he could forget what he saw. But the boy knew he could not.

"Power down the energy torches and prepare the horses, we must reach Nar by nightfall" A tall young man yelled to his men.
"Sir Ronan, come with me we must speak".
Another man clad in a green metal walked from the group of men and towards his general.

"Magister Rahn" The man bowed as he approached, "Thank You for taking me with you to Nar."
Magister Rahn bowed his head trying to hide his smile.
"You know, I'm still not used to that title, But you are welcome none the less. I need your talents." Magister Rahn replied smiling.
"Of course my lo... Rahn I am all but happy to serve" Ronan giggled before letting his lord reply.
Magister Rahn was a tall man for his age, He dressed in a mixture of leather fabrics encased with a green metal. His shoulders and chest were engraved and a circle with a three bladed leaf spiking out. He had mahogany brown hair spiked off to the wind and a charming smile.
"Ronan I fear that they will come for me." Rahn's smile disappeared to reveal a frown, a single glowing tear dripped down from his green eyes.
"Rahn I am sorry for your loss, but as long as I still draw breath i will protect you." Ronan spoke softly while taking off his helmet, dropping it as he did so.
Ronan was around the same age as Magister Rahn, He had golden brown curly hair and ice blue eyes.
"Th...Thank You" Rahn gripped Ronan and hugged him, not wanting to let go as Sir Ronan just embraced it with a smile.

Great Mother, Help us now To spread your holy light; Grant us your power that you sought, To hold us through our days.
Teach us how to guide your light, Undaunted by the never ending night. Give us that single spark, That rings out with your breath.
And when the beacon shine so bright, Your holy light shall burn the night, Bringing it to silence and to death.

The song echoed throughout the city's vast streets, circles of houses and buildings, gardens and memorials and at its core the largest building on Teragard, the Grand Cathedral. Surrounding it was men, women and children holding one another, waving side to side singing their song and as it ended silence befell the land, even the wind stayed dormant. The four pillars around the Cathedral began to crackle with red sparks until finally they blasted off red beams into the sky and brought light back to the land.

"It was beautiful Magister Kore" A womans voice whispered in the silent chamber. The Woman Had bright blonde hair that fell to her lower back, a band of flowers holding back her bangs from her eyes. The lady wore a light yellow and tan flowing dress that separated at the back, and only reached below her knees.
"Ahh Mara my dear, is that how you address your old friends....Magister!...Haha" An old lady came steadily walking towards her, her grey hair neatly plaited around her head, revealing an old weather-beaten face that wore a smile. Kora was dressed in a bright red robe with gold stitches running down in swirling patterns, her arms completely covered and hugged each other.
"How long has it been Magister Mara!" Kora spoke once more before both Magisters shared a hug and a laugh.
"How is your time in the Sinko Isle, Mara? The crops are good this time of year I expect?" Kora questioned with a smile still lingering on her face.
"It's wonderful Sister Kore, the land has been good to us this season, and the energy pulsars have more than doubled the growth size!! I have brought the finest of the produce with me to Nar." Mara yelled with glee.
"Good my dear, At least some good can come from Sardois' experiments with the energy." Kora replied, sorrow striking at her heart.
"Kore! Quie-" whispered Mara but before she could finish another voice joined the conversation.
"We all know it to be true! Lies surround that man....and after last nights explosion..well lets hope the Mother reveals all." A graceish woman approached from behind a small door, wrapped in finely fitted grey cloth with blue trims anywhere there was a fold. A pure silver badge of three triangles pinned onto her collar. Her brown hair cut neatly around her face.

"Magister Larna! Welcome back to Nar." Kore replied with a nervous smile.
"It is good to be back Sister Kore... After all, order must be maintained at the heart." Larna nodded her head before retreating back to her dark entryway.

Chapter 2: Road To Nar

The Night was dark and the wolves howled while Masister Rahn's men stood watch in silence, waiting. The four red blasts reached the heavens and created the Nether Sphere a red shield of pure light destroying the darkness and returning light to the world. "Beautiful, isn't it.." Ronan grabbed Rahn's hand and held tight. "Indeed" He replied with a smile on his face clenching his hand even harder.
A thundering noise rolled down from the hilltops with roars soon following, The sound of arrows flying through the wind.
It was too late before Rahn and his men knew what was happening. Arrows rained down on the unsuspecting party a few dropped dead on the spot.
"Barbarians!" Rahn yelled to his men.
"Form a guard wall with the shields, Get ready men they are coming!" Rahn issued his orders and his men obeying them to the letter.
Around Thirty men dressed in animal skins wielding pikes and wooden shields ran from the hilltops roaring and yelling abusive comments towards the guardians.
"Slay those who do not not Surrender to Yark!" the Warchief yelled from atop his battle boar.
The barbarians began to run straight on top of the guardians swingings and slashing their swords and pikes into the open holes in the defenses.
"Break free now!" Rahn yelled.
The guardians pushed with all their might throwing the barbarians off to the side before lunging their swords through their hearts. The clash of steel on steel and the sound of bodies and blood falling to the floor was everlasting.
"Rahn!" Ronan jumped in front of his lord as the Barbarian Warchief lunged his pike towards them.
"Argh" Screamed Rahn quickly turning around barraging the Warchief with his sword, giving him no chance to strike back, tears rushing down his face.
"Retreat! take them all!" The Warchief yelled in terror while his followers picked up Ronan and other surviving guardians.

"No!" Rahn rushed over, but was stopped by another guardian, "My Lord there are too many! we must attend our wounded" Rahn looked at his ally rage and hatred burning in his eyes, he turned and walked towards a half dying barbarian squirming around on the floor.
"Where are they going!" Rahn screamed in his face, but the barbarian did not respond as Rahn had hoped he laid their laughing insanely until Rahn Slid his sword through his skull and even during his last breath he still laughed.
"Burn them.. Burn every last one of them!" Rahn ordered before throwing down his sword and walking towards the nearby stream to fetch water for his wounded allies.
The cheers of victory rang out into the wilderness the sound of boars pulling a wagon, one wheel bigger than the other.
"Ronan are you alright?" one of the guardians asked.
Ronan's eyes started to open his sight blurry, but he could make out the metal cage that surrounded him.
"Wa-*-er" Ronan tried so hard to speak, but could barely manage a single word.
"Rest Ronan, we'll need our strength to get through this" The guardian spoke handing his ally a waterskin.
A few hours later Ronan was able to sit up straight and talk.
"May the Mother's light save us....I knew it was a bad idea to follow Rahn" one of the guardian ignorantly stated, "Kar would have never let this happen!.. A boy can't do a man's job!" added another.
Ronan sat quietly thinking to himself before speaking.
"He never wanted to become Magister... Young he is...Yes....but unable to do his job? I have never heard anything more rubbish...You know nothing of him or his struggles..." Ronan stated to his fellow captives.

"I....Im sorry Ronan i didn't mean anything by it.." the guardian replied.

"I have known him my whole life, our fathers were great friends and often attended a lot of meetings and so we would both play as children.

We were hunting one day out in the old wilds beside Marl's village only pretend of course but a wild wolf had picked up our scent i was afraid as a child so i froze on the spot and the wolf picked up on this.. Rahn had courage even then he grabbed his hunting spike and waved it in the air towards the beast, But it was hungry and nothing would stop it from feeding the wolf showed its teeth and leaped towards Rahn who stood his ground thrusting the spike through it's chest.. I was amazed he saved us and i was forever in his debt...We planned to move to Karlais a while ago we had bought a house there but thats the night...You know how it goes.." Ronan could not speak anymore.

"The night what?" another captive spoke up intrigued by the knights story.

"A few months ago his father, mother and two brothers were all found dead in their beds stabbed through the heart Rahn never wished to become Magister but he did so for his people to help his family to live on... I have never known a better man!" Ronan replied ending his story.

"I...i never knew that..." The captive replied his head between his knees.
"And who are you...you seem to be of some importance" a guardian replied.
"I'm...Maldor....Magister Sardois apprentice" The captive replied.
Ronan's head lifted to gaze upon the boy before he turned and went to sleep.
Fire Blazed across the road the boars to afraid to move around, burning hay sent spoke towards the barbarian party blocking all vision around the area.

"Strike in 5...4...3..." a faint voice whispered in the west.
Flaming arrows flew at the boars burning them and the ropes tied to the carriage. The boars broke free and ran wild.
"It's an Ambush!" screamed the Barbarian Warchief.
More arrow began to fly towards the barbarian guards unable to locate it's source.
"Attack brothers!"
"Rahn!" Ronan pulled himself up and looked out of the carriage
