For the fire breathing puzzle , we have six beakers, each of which has been prepared with an unknown reagent, and we must correctly complete each solution before the fire breather (the npc we're saving) begins their performance. We have a collection of
strange chemicals and herbs
, and a cryptic set of instructions for how to use them, which takes the form of a logic puzzle (eg: the tallest beaker is not next to the solution that is prepared with guam, rune dust is used with either rubium or blurite, etc). Completing the puzzle incorrectly can poison the npc.

The drill puzzle is less a puzzle and more a test of reflex, based on the drill demon random event . Damien has four mats with symbols for particular exercises and a blindfolded npc. The demon will call out exercises, and we must quickly guide the npc to the correct mat. The symbols change after each call, and doing the wrong exercise or reacting too slowly fails the event. After we successfully complete the event, Delrith asks Sergeant Damien “
In what way is this a spectacle?
” to which Damien replies “
Physical Fitness is the greatest spectacle of all!

With all the npcs secured, we return to the Wise Old Man , who congratulates us for our hard work, and instructs us to take our place at the north end of the GE so we can finally rid Gielinor of Delrith. When we select 'stand on' for a small symbol in the middle of the GE's north side, we see a cutscene of us, the WOM , and all of the npcs from the puzzles raising their
sigils
and saying the incantation, banishing Delrith , who vanishes as his blue partyhat flutters to the ground. The Wise Old Man picks up the hat and puts it on, before thanking us.

PART 3: TRADING MACES

Requirements:

Gunnar's Ground
From Tiny Acorns
The Feud
The Giant Dwarf

Skills:

agility
herblore
thieving

Items:

guam potion
cadava berries
blackjack

Summary

The Barbarians are eager to rise up against their oppressors, but they can't do it without weapons. Gudrun devises a plan to steal an incoming shipment of Red Axe weapons from Urist Loric , a wealthy dwarf trader. We follow Urist to his favourite bar, incapacitate his zombie bodyguard, and poison him with a Cadavaberry potion before replacing him with lookalike Dororan . After that, it's a simple matter of obtaining a discarded Red Axe seal from Keldagrim and endorsing the order, to give us a band of well-armed Fremennik allies.

Following Aris 's hint, we approach the mansion just west of Varrock, where Gudrun appears to be staking out the entrance from the bushes. She tells us it is the home of Urist Loric , an amoral Dwarven trader who has grown rich as the liaison between the Red Axe (rulers of Keldagrim) and the armoured zombies who purchase their weapons. She and the Fremennik of Barbarian Village would like to storm Varrock Castle, but they lack the arms to do it – though she hopes that may change with the adventurer's help.

As a delivery dwarf approaches the manse, Gudrun entreats us to
scale the outer wall
and eavesdrop on his conversation with Urist . We see him endorse the delivery with his official seal , discover that a very large shipment of high grade weapons is on its way, and learn that Urist has a cousin whom he regards with contempt, living as a beggar in the streets of Varrock.

We seek out the beggar, who turns out to be none other than Dororan , bearing a striking resemblance to Urist . We return to Gudrun and hatch a plan: we will follow Urist to his favourite bar,
incapacitate
his zombie bodyguard, and when he's distracted,
poison
his beer. We will then have Dororan take his place, and distribute the arms shipment among the barbarians .

Gudrun tells us of an apothecary who used to have a shop in Varrock who knew how to create a very powerful, yet nonlethal poison, but he disappeared during the siege on Varrock. We return to our own timeline, where the Apothecary tells us such a potion can be made with
Cadavaberry and guam
, but refuses to produce it himself (because the last time he did, a girl ended up buried in a tomb and left for dead). We brew the poison, and return to bizarro Varrock.

We follow Urist to the Blue Moon Inn , where his armoured zombie bodyguard positions himself just outside the door, stopping us if we attempt to enter. We
cosh
him, then wait for Brunnhilde , a barbarian woman, to engage Urist in a dance. While he is distracted we
poison
his beer, then wait for him to leave the bar. He passes out, we retrieve him, and return to the mansion where Dororan , beard trimmed and hair greyed, has taken his place.

We now need an official
Red Axe seal
in order for Dororan to endorse the delivery. We return to Keldagrim in our own timeline and ask the Orange Flame secretary if any Red Axe paraphernalia has been left behind. He irritably indicates a cabinet that is due to be destroyed in the lava mines. We
pick its lock
and recover a
Red Axe seal
, which we return to Dororan , who appears to have got on quite well with Gudrun in our absence.

The delivery dwarf arrives, and after initial suspicion hands over the crates. Gudrun pledges the aid of the Fremennik when we take the castle, and the
quest is completed
.

PART 4: CONQUEST OF THE GOBLINS

Requirements:

The Chosen Commander
Rag and Bone Man
Shadow of the Storm

Skills:

crafting
firemaking
construction
slayer

Items:

food
limestone bricks
clockwork
big bones
cave goblin wire
pots of vinegar
logs

Summary

Zanik , disillusioned from the destruction of her home by HAM, has become the ruthless commander of a goblin army, hellbent on destroying human civilization. With a little help from a goblin transmogrification potion, we discover that her three Dorgeshuun lieutenants miss specific aspects of the city – the hum of machines, the smell of food, the feel of bones. We are able to replace these with items from our own dimension's very vibrant Dorgesh-Kaan , and convince them to put away their rage and lust for vengeance. Though Zanik sees through our actions and attacks us, we are able to convince her that a true Bandosian warrior doesn't torment the weak, but tests themselves against the strong.

A battalion of highly trained, bloodthirsty goblins has come through the south gate, and is preparing to raze the city before it can be saved. A lone soldier, Grubfoot , wanders apart from the others. When we ask him what's wrong, he claims that too many have been hurt (the army has already destroyed Lumbridge and Draynor), and wishes some goblin had the courage to talk sense into their commander and convince her that they should be fighting against the oppressors, not the victims.

We claim we can be that goblin, we have a
potion
that can disguise us when we're out of direct sunlight. Grubfoot claims that's not a problem, as the sun never shines. We retrieve our
goblin potion
, disguise ourselves, and enter the makeshift goblin headquarters in the southwest of the city. There we encounter Commander Zanik and her three lieutenants: Barlak , Undak , and Turgall .

We learn that the Dorgeshuun first met humanity when H.A.M. led a strike that wiped out most of Dorgesh-Kaan , and Zanik , inspired by the spirit of Bandos, led the survivors across Gielinor, recruiting the remaining goblin tribes and creating a force of destruction that made all tremble.

Each lieutenant has a particular memory close to them that was ripped away by the HAM attack, and helps fuel their hatred. For Undak , it was the smell of fresh roasting frog from all the vendors, representing cuisine and the height of goblin culture, now dead, as he'd walk to his post each morning. For Turgall , it was the hum of the machines he worked with, emblematic of Dorgeshuun industry and ingenuity, which is no more. And for Barlak , it was his collection of shells and bones , souvenirs of the natural ecosystem that HAM ripped out.

We return to our own Dorgesh-Kaan , and try to recover these items. The
roast frog
we obtain by trading
food
with gourmets. We speak with Bartak for
schematics
for a Dorgeshuun machine. They don't make sense at first, so he suggests we familiarize ourself more with Dorgeshuun engineering, which we can do by either
fixing light orbs
or
doing a few rounds of the agility course
. Now, the
schematics
make sense, and we can create a
machine
from
bricks, bones, clockworks, cave goblin wire
.

We meet our timeline's Barlak , and though he refuses to let us borrow his collection, he gives us an
empty display case
and a
list of items
to start us off, all of which can be obtained from creatures in the Lumby swamp caves or the Dorgesh-Kaan dark cave . Once we have obtained all of the
remains
, we prepare them with
vinegar
(the same way as in Rag and Bone Man) and load them into the
display case
.

We return to the goblin headquarters and give the lieutenants their gifts, telling them that those they're fighting have lost just as much as they have and that they should fight alongside, rather than against them. The lieutenants agree, but Zanik , incensed, attacks us for violating the code of Bandos.

We transform into a human, and battle her to low health before asking her to join us in the glory of a worthy fight. Zanik claims it is her duty to preserve the goblin race, and that we are fighting against forces more powerful than we can imagine, that we can't win. We mirror her words from the Chosen Commander "
Perhaps we can't win – but we can fight.
” At this Zanik recognizes us as a true warrior, and agrees to be our ally, but just for this one occasion.

ring of charos

We first attempt to convince them that there is rampant plague by unleashing a group of brightly dyes zombie rats, but their leader, Count Draynor , is unfooled. We then turn the tables on Draynor by loading up our mourner toad launcher with a Guthix Balance-filled zombie rat, and firing it at the Count. When the werewolves see him gasping from the apparent effects of an infected rat, they turn tail, and old vampyre hunter Dr. Harlow finally takes his revenge on Count Draynor.

We encounter Dr. Harlow in a hovel in south Varrock, lamenting his wasted years chasing vampyres and never expecting to see '
those mongrels
' in his own city. When we ask what's the matter we learn that werewolves have set up quarter in the southeast of the city , and are keeping humans caged as tithes to send back to Morytania. He claims he's too old to take them head on, and wishes for a way to infiltrate them. We tell him of our
special ring
that lets us blend with werewolves, and he sends us into town.

Among the lycanthropes, we hear that they don't know why they ever feared the west, that Varrockian tithers can provide four times as much blood, and that life is far more pleasant, primarily because they've escaped the putrid swamp with its rabid vermin and repulsive spirits. The only vermin they have to contend with are the zombie rats , but those are harmless.

We return to Harlow and, inspired by past experiences, propose a plan to create a false plague by colouring the zombie rats and posing as a victim, bitten and unable to transform out of our disgusting human form.

With
a cat, a ratpole, and several dyes
, we venture into a rat-infested derelict in southeast Varrock and begin
catching zombie rats
, which we dye when they're on our
ratpole
, before releasing them. After dying 15 rats, we go among the werewolves, one last
rat
in our inventory, and make a show of being bitten and unable to transform.

While the werewolves are initially horrified, an unexpected face, Count Victor Draynor Drakan , appears, lambasting his underlings for being fooled by a human using cheap parlour tricks. We quickly make our escape from the now aggressive werewolves.

Back with Dr. Harlow , he wishes for a more efficient way of dealing with vyres than the staking method, and we tell him of our experiences with
Guthix Balance potions
and the
Ivandis Flail
. He claims it would perfectly fool the werewolves if Draynor himself succumbed to the zombie rat plague , but is stumped for a way to inject a rat with Guthix Balance, or a way to sick it on Draynor from a distance, without being seen. We tell him we may have an idea, and he asks us to make him a
Flail
, to aid him in his fight against vyres.

We retrieve the
gnomish toad launching device, ogre bellows, a vial of Guthix Balance
, and a
dyed zombie rat
. We pump the rat with the potion, load the device, and from the shadows of the werewolf quarter,
aim
it at Count Draynor . Draynor splutters and gags from the potion, and when the werewolves see it's an infected
rat
that did this to him, they realize the plague is indeed real and flee.

In a cutscene , Harlow approaches the still weakened Draynor , and with one swipe of his
Flail
, finishes him off. He frees the tithers from their cages, and vows to aid you in retaking Misthalin.
