For the short while that the others took to greet each other, Ariadne had kept back and simply observed. Although all present were here by their father’s request, seeing all of her siblings here in a single place was something that generally never happened, and she couldn’t help but be a bit wary of the situation. Nearly everyone that was important to the realm could be found here tonight, and whether she wanted to entertain notions of something going wrong or not, doing so was, in her eyes, one of the parts of the job she had placed herself into.
Briefly feeling the probe from her twin, Ariadne of course let her in. A normal, minor amount of anxiety over a social function was inlaid with concern for the siblings that were about to receive something - in the form of a coronation announcement - that they would not want to hear. She was, of course, happy that they were all well, even more so because of the arrival of one thought to be dead. What was clearer than anything else, though, was that she wanted this to conclude.
Perhaps to her detriment, everyone began mingling before she did, and it wasn’t until Flynn came over and gave her twin a hug that there was any space to talk. In truth, the one she wanted to speak to was Reyner, although perhaps the subject she wanted to discuss was better in a non-introductory setting. Roland was already talking to Evalayne, whom Ariadne very much wanted to figure out what happened to, as she had been part of more than one expedition to find the princess. How they had managed to fail, she still was not sure, but it was without doubt something she was not proud of. Roland was not her favorite sibling, though, she staying out of that for now was probably the best plan.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
