It's true I've become less strict as far as spamming, but nobody has spammed excessively yet, so I see no need.

I don't believe in having rules for the sake of having rules. Every rule must have a reason and because there is no spam, there is no reason.

Avatar- It's fine.

Wul***r- At the pace we're going with technology, it's likely computers will eventually be able to do this. The main problems right now are:

1. Processing power- The amount necessary for a massively multiplayer virtual reality game sent out over the internet would be unimaginable.

2. Brain-computer link- In Runespace you move by unconsciously sending neural impulses to your muscles. Research into prosthetics has made great strides in computers interacting with the nerves of amputees, allowing them to control robotic limbs. However, the computer would also need to eliminate all sensory information recieved by the brain from the environment, and all impulses sent by the brain to actual muscles. Otherwise someone swordfighting in virtual reality would be wildly swinging his/her arms in real life.
