King Vilkar walked gently down the corridor, his stride broken into careful steps to avoid kicking a dwarf or human. He wore noble’s robes made of thick animal skin rather than silk or light fabric, which would too easily tear if caught on a surrounding object and pulled with the weight of a Half Giant. Still the tailor responsible for crafting the clothing had enough skill to turn materials normally used in human society for hunters or tribal groups into something quite exquisite. Details had been added by an equally skilled human assistant so that not a single inch of the extensive garment was left plain or boring.

Before him a cloaked human walked ahead to ensure no distracted bystanders failed to see the king coming and inhibit his path by obliviously obstructing the corridor. The hood of the cloak was down to show his face. The rest of the cloak was pushed back to hang over his back like a cape leaving the front and sides of his torso and legs open. He wore leather armor with a few metal plates over vital areas, though they were spaced and secured tightly enough that they added no noise to his movement. Around his belt were a number of darts, a dagger, and a saber. He walked with them openly shown to the dwarves not as a threat, but as a sign of trust. Should any guard request he hand his weapons over he would comply; though, it was not uncommon for a king to bring an armed body guard.

Their dwarf escort stopped by the entrance to the meeting room. “Right in here,” he said gesturing to the doorway. “Balduan,” King Vilkar’s voice rumbled, “It would be rude to bring weapons into a diplomatic meeting.” The bodyguard nodded, “Of course, I will wait a short distance away. If I hear any trouble, I’ll be there in an instant.” Vilkar nodded in agreement, “Good; though I doubt you will be needed. The dwarves are a fine people.”

Parting from the human, King Vilkar stepped into the room, some of his hairs brushing against the ceiling though he was otherwise uninhibited from standing straight. Vilkar had visited King Horic a day before when he first arrived in the city. He had brought a gift as was customary of his people, a gilded battle hammer crafted by the artisans of Damas, for King Horic. They spoke a few words about the trade between their cities, no negotiations, just discussion between the leaders of two friendly nations, but little was said about this meeting.

Vilkar found a seat of appropriate size and claimed the spot. He took some of the food laid out at the table to eat while he awaited the start of the meeting.

Name: The People's Republic of Osgalethe (Just called Osgalethe to shorten the name)
Leaders: High Elder Ardithitine Arden Urzka (an elf)
Population: 420,000 (More If Osgalethe would count the vast amount of slaves it has if it did it would be 520,000)
Location: South of Sorusian Empire in what Is and was The Philippines
Races: Dwarves( counted as 30% of the population), Elves (Counted as 10% of the population), Humans (consisting of 40% of the population), and Te*can( Large intelligent men with wings that make up 20% of the population.
Capital: Osgathosse, It is known as the City of White Towers, Built inside a meteor crater, It is the most defensible city on any of the 220 Islands that make up the "Republic" (I'll explain why the word Republic in quotation marks soon) population: 80,000 people
Government: Though Osgalethe is referred to as a "republic" In practice, Osgalethe is in fact a massive oligarchy, Governed by 73 individuals( The High Elder and 72 Elders) known as the Eldrancy. Which convenes in the Sienic Hall in the Osgathossian District of Palye. These people hold their positions for life, and what they say goes. So in other words,, the people got passed over, once again by tyranny. Any elder in the Eldrancy can pass a law just by decreeing it publicly. The High Elder is in charge of the military, the Elders in charge of providing for the military.
Economy: Osgalethe only has one resource besides water, the metal Nickel This leaves Osgalethe in a rather weak state resourcefully,

It is extremely isolated from the rest of Karrus. it prefers isolation. Osgalethe uses a form of Currency known as the Osga. It is a square shaped coin made from onyx and bears the image of the Sienic Hall on the front side, the back side has no emblem.
Military: Defensive Army: 70,000
Offensive Army: 20,000
Outposts and forts: 800
Navy:
Triremes: 120
biremes: 125
Swimmer Saboteurs: 20,000

Why is Osgalethe so isolated you ask? Surrounding the Islands are 8,000 barrier Islands that are closely packed together, These Reefs make getting to, or leaving the islands extremely dangerous. At any moment a ship can crash into a reef and sink, or get stuck. Osgalethans rely on the Teccans to conduct trade with the other nations
Support: 3,100 Terrigian Hashmeets (Elite Master Assassins)
The Malcon Draconis: The Osgalethe's Shadow Army, made up exclusively of slaves
numbers unknown.
Religion: The Chief God of Osgalethe is called "Signar" God of Humor.
Along with any resources the Teccans bring home, Osgalethe has picked up many religions and treats each religion with respect, even going so far as to build the temples for any converts, But Most Worship Signar,

Culture: Osgalethe's places such an emphasis on "Finding humor in all things" And as such, makes fun of everything and everyone. There is a definite emphasis on patience it is reflected in their sculptures and paintings. There is an emphasis on honor, but their version of honor is far different than most versions. essentially it means "Do the right thing" How this interpreted, along with its connection to the Slave trade is what gives Osgalethe a bad reputation. swindling double-crossing merchants, hanging beligerant and offensive emissaries of other nations, is seen as "the right thing"
It believes in the purity of the body, as such. Osgalethans while on Osgalethe are sometimes seen **** outdoors.

History: Osgalethe's discovery was an accident. A castaway sailor washed ashore the Islands, near death and was nursed back to health. With the help of the Elves, this Sailor made his way back, where he told the world of the discovery. Soon immigrants from all over the world came to settle on the islands. This marked the end of an era for the natives. Most of them died to disease. But a diverse culture was created. The native elves were, of course the original settlers. Exiled Dormoorian Dwarves came to the Islands hoping to strike it rich and live lavishly, Humans came to escape the Opression of their homelands. The Teccans were only discovered recently, and it is unknown why they came here. This created a diverse melting pot of cultures, and eventually, the original cultural identities of these people died. They were Osgalethans. Osgalethe means, Ironically "Fatal Chill" in the Te*can Native language. Osgalethe once tried to invade several nations to the east, with disastrous results After these failed conquests It was sacked time and time again by bandits and pirate miners of these nations for Nickel. Osgalethe had no way of defending itself from invaders ( it only took longer for the invader to get there). Because of its failed expansionary period Osgalethe incurred a large debt rather quickly: It owed 10 billion Gold Pieces, Osgalethe could not pay off the debt and so revived the slave trade it used to speak out against. Over the last 200 years, Osgalethe has payed off it's debt, But the slave trade is the dominant economy of Osgalethe and is kept around out of a sense of greed among the Eldrancy. Osgalethe has made requests to trade with several nations. The Eldrancy has existed since the Country's founding, though at one point it was far more democratic. The current Eldrancy is mired in gridlock, nothing ever gets done, Elders counter other laws of other elders with impunity. It is only with the threat of military invasion Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

that the country gets it's act together. Osgalethe is a pariah among nations.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Osgalethan people is that so many of them become jesters and clowns, it just suits their culture. Of the Osgalethan people, many labor under the idea that all Osgalethans are jesters or clowns. But many also believe that secretly these jesters and clowns are also slavers and slave traders.

Despite the natural defenses of Osgalethe, It becomes apparent that Osgalethe can only wage a defensive war effectively. A conquest would end horribly badly for Osgalethe.
Defensively, It is incredibly versatile. Offensively, It's military is the laughing stock of the world, Perhaps this is what Osgalethe intended, as it seeks to find humor in all things. And as such Osgalethe stays for the most part neutral in all matters. besides no nation would want to be allies with Osgalethe in war. Osgalethe has no problem in sinking allies along with enemies if the opportunity presents itself.
Osgalethe is extremely volcanic, and is also sitting on a volcanic hotspot, The volcano Mount Syanthine Infatallis continuously spews out lava off the coast of Ogalethe

Name: The Skaivier Alliance
Leader(s): Hanson Tide-Caller, Teri Sea-Mouth, Scamper Water-Born
Population: 525,000
Races: Human
Location: In the center of Russia, but pressed against the coast.
Capital: Traitor's Port

Capital Description: The melodic sea shanties can be heard from the bustling docks, as ships come and go. The docks are made from stone, and very sturdy with several wooden walk ways for ships to unload their goods and crew. Large watchtowers look upon the port from higher terrain, where the rest of the city is located. Linking the towers is a stone wall thats not incredibly tall, but cannot be climbed over. Every tower usually has a ballista or two with it. The main city is rounded and encased in the stone wall. Nordic style houses and halls dot the area, with a very large hall in the center of the city. Most of the structures are made from wood, except the barracks near the front of the city and the armory in the back. Outside of the wall is a ton of farm land with a house here and there. The main road that leads to the city has a small village about half a mile from the entrance. It has a wooden watch tower, a few tents, a couple of houses, and a large inn. Most sailors make the trip out to the inn to spend the night, because it is known to have the best mead.

It has a population of 65,000, and most of the military is focused here.

Government: Oligarchy. There are three halls each with their leader ^. These halls have control over certain parts of the nation, but usually act as one. They meet at the grand hall in Traitor's Port to discuss any courses of action taken. The three leaders have final say in all dicisions, but most of the time it is left to envoys of each hall.

Economy: Gold, silver, and copper rather poor compared to other nations but it does not bother them to much.

Military: 20,000 highly trained sailors/infantry. They wear light armor for mobility and in case they fall overboard. Often weilding a axe/sword and a large round sheild. They have one of the largest fleets, and have incredible design. Larger ships are equipped with several ballista, and oars along with the standard sails. Smaller more agile boats just have oars and one ballista however they can have small crews of 12. (Imagine long boats)

5,000 militia with some training, These men and women already have weapons but have no armor at the ready. Will not join in military campaigns, and are only used to defend.

10,000 reserves willing to serve in the defence of their lands, not in a military campaign. These people have simple farming tools at the ready for weapons. Given time they can be equipped better.

Religion: They believe in several gods, but worship the god of the sea known as Skaleal. It is said that he gave the Skaivier strong boats to protect them, and created fish to feed them. He is the cause of storms, and are seen as a bad sign.

Culture: Living in the cold northern region, the Skaivier are excellent in making blankets, clothing, and beautiful tapestry. The tapestry often decorates the inside of halls and houses, and brings color to the rooms.
A large portion of the population either owns or works on a farm. With large open fields to let livestock roam, and tons of fertile soil beneath their feet; hunger is scarce within this nation.

Fishing is very common, and most tend to know their way around a boat.

History: Much of the history is lost, when traveling from a northern island the boat keeping most of the books sank. Over the years more of their past has faded. However, there was said to be 3 great clans. Each great clan had a ship so big it rivaled continents, of course such a claim would seem crazy to others. The sea god gave them these ships to travel to a new land, and flourish. It is said once the ships arrived and everyone got off that they sank back into the ocean from wince they came.

The clans, who has been fighting for many years, decided that this is not what Skaleal wanted. He wanted for his people to be united and truly be one with the sea. They then formed the alliance that currently stands.

Other: There are many villages in close proximity of each other, and it does not take long to travel through the entire nation.

Also the ballista stated above are basically over sized crossbows. One person could technically operate it alone, but after one shot they would be exhausted. So on boats the ballista are run by a three man team, one of course is the gunner who fires and supplies the next bolt and the other two crank down on two sides to get the bolt in place. Most of the time the bolt is rounded more than sharp to punch holes in ships or knock out weaponry. To use this against infantry would not be a smart move, it is not as accurate thus is used on ships and doesn't have the piercing power a normal ballista does. It is almost useless against anything besides wood.
