The Meeting – Aftermath
“Very good, thank-you for inviting me here. You have very nice chairs.” Eodis remarked as the meeting ended, tapping the arms of his arm with his hands a few times.
Once the meeting had concluded, King Eodis went back home. Prior to the homecoming, his royal bodyguard were busy wrestling, boxing and sparring with the Dwarven soldiers, and much to their surprise, the Dwarves were often more than able to stand up to their taller, animalistic opponents. The stockiness of the Dwarves gave them good centre of gravity, quickness, and dodging, capable of swiftly diving into legs, head-butting into jaws, tripping, and body shots. Of course, the combat was rather light, only semi-violent, as both sides developed a respect for one another.
The Grays did their preferred style of aggressive charging, but the Dwarven guards, being professional soldiers, often simply whirled around the Gray, grappling from behind or tripping the Minotaur. A few Dwarves managed to grab a Gray's horns, wrenching the head sideways and taking him down. Some Grays, with their height, managed to get into a clinch, and with their lean arms, quickly were able to utilize arm locks or pushing the head back to take down a Dwarf, and both sides learned from one another.
After all that, Eodis returned to his men, they took their belongings, equipped themselves, and headed for the exit before nightfall. They thanked their guides, whoever they were, and headed home at that, just like that. Grays were quite impulsive and upbeat, preferring frequent activity. They excitedly went home, jogging all night, resting during the day, and jogging during the night, their preferred travelling when in dangerous territory. Fortunately, very few enemy Gray warbands would dare fight the king himself, for many did not wear armour, and solid metal armour offered the ability to fend off a vast horde of unarmoured enemies.
