King Eodis thought his plan was a good one: reinforce the city, and he himself lead a raiding party for scouting and harassment of the enemy, a common Gray tactic, but a hundred Grays would not realistically be able to successfully raid an entire army. Tactical sense and restraint were not clearly in the minds of the Grays, not even in Eodis, despite his vastly superior intellect for a Griv(c)oth.
Then, Steffon of Asindia spoke, mentioned it was not his decision to decree whether the Asindians went to war or not. How odd; the humans needed permission to go to war? The Mountains of Home did not have any rules like that; if a tribe or clan wanted to go to war, they sure as hell could if they wanted to.
Princess Derene spoke about how a defensive war could be safer, perhaps having a change of mind despite her earlier disappointment. She wanted to remove the threat completely, not just harass it. King Horic mentioned that the Sorusians were spread thin and their settlements becoming rebellious.
The Rournic* diplomat spoke about a defensive nature regarding his own home. Eodis thought that to be foolish; far better to reinforce Horic's citadel and carry on a defensive war beyond its walls. Or so this was his mentality, what a Gray would do, and Eodis did seem too stubborn to accept another point of view, but he chose to keep that to himself.
(( I am not sure if I understood Emo Muslim's dignitary's opening, or if the nation is accepted, but if so, it can be assumed he spoke and Eodis listened ))
After the previous speaker finished, Eodis then said, “If their settlements are disgruntled and nation spread thin, we should go around the main Sorus army and raid villages at night. Pillage them, and then destroy the homes. I think that most humans are unable to live off the land, so we should force them to do that, make them starve so that plague spreads diseases into the Sorus armies.
