Chapter 3
The Book of the Dead (continued)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drakos studied the complex diagrams in the book. This would be harder than summoning your average flesh-eating demon. To do this, you would have to summon the very essence of nothingness. And more importantly, to control it.
This was the ultimate killing machine. The many gruesome deaths a person could die at its hands were described in the book, but the most painful way was to have your soul drained out of your body. It was like ripping yourself out of yourself.
Well, he hoped the boy appreciated that he was going to all this trouble to find an excruciatingly painful way to exterminate him.
A few hours later, Drakos stood in the center of a circle in the middle of the throne room. A similar circle was drawn on the floor in front of him.
Finally the boy was going to die. THIS, he couldn't escape from.
"Zevar! Agren! Sellandar! Void!" yelled Drakos. "Blood! Wrath! DEATH! VOID!" he pulled a knife out of his belt and slashed open his own arm, allowing the blod to run into the other circle.
Where the blood fell, it began to bubble and expand, stretching and growing. And something began to rise out of the puddle, an empty space in the air that took on the shape of nightmares.
The Void.
It was totally under his control now; it would do anything he told it to until it succeeded.
It would kill the boy.
"You will find Tyron, the King of the ruined city of Varrock! You will kill him in the most painful way possible!" he roared. "But do NOT harm anyone who is traveling with him. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"
In reply, the empty space flickered once and disappeared to seek out Tyron and kill him.
