awsum story!
my prediction for what is going to happen:
Gray will see his daughter becoming more and more miserable. He will finally feel guilty for what he has done and try to repent. Lucas will find a hooded visitor in the camp who wants to talk to him alone. They go into his tent, the visitor unveils his head and ... BAM!! it's Gray! Gray gives Lucas a stack of papers which turn out to be Justine's letters to him. He explains what he did. Lucas gets very mad and throws a huge tantrum. Gray asks Lucas's forgiveness. Lucas is so mad he says no. Gray leaves after leaving a big bag behind. When Lucas cools down, he looks into the bag where he finds a leather pouch full of money and a letter from Gray that asks his forgiveness and gives Lucas his blessing to marry Justine. There is also goldtrimmed-runite armor with 2 daggers, a scimitar and a rune defender (it all turns out to be stuff Gray wanted to give to the son-in-law of his choosing as a wedding gift.) In the infirmary a bunch of bandages and much-needed supplies turn up, courtesy of Gray Val'Myren.

Bffmco, no worries. I understand. I just hope you understand that I have a life beyond this forum and sometimes, unfortunately my stories here fall by the wayside. I do the best I can. As of right now, I'm on break, and while it's shaping up to be a busy few weeks I'll do the best I can to squeeze in an add or two.

I'm very happy that I stumbled upon your work. It's really great, as I expected it would be (based on The Death Tournament).
I'm still in the middle of reading, currently on chapter 4. The lyrics to "Dear God" by Avenged Sevenfold really makes me think of Lucas and Justine's relationship.
