I've looked around for the section that talks about what's wrong with the forums, or the updates or whatever, but I just can't find it anywhere.
And that's kinda...stupid. Why would you want to collapse the section? What point does it serve?

For example, I never use the 'marketplace' forums, so I can minimize them and not have to scroll past them. Same with the 'feedback' ones (or whatever they're called). If you use all of them, it serves no purpose.
There's a locked sticky by a J on the Forum Feedback forum as well as a thread entitled "Official: Recent Forum Changes".
