We stared at it for several long seconds before I said “We have to free him.” The others looked onto me with horror, but they did not question it. They knew it’s what we had to do. Doodle mumbled a few words which made the rock in front of us have a thin layer of slippery ice covering it. The ice blasted out, covering the long, winding walkway that led down to the seal. Before I could say anything, we slipped and down the slide we went! I heard Yoshi yell “WEEEEE!” behind me. It was actually enjoyable after a time. What was once an hour or two hour walk turned into a 15 minute slide-o’-fun! Round and around the cavern we went, slowly descending towards the seal. We finally reached the bottom. We were going so fast that when we hit solid ground we rolled all the way across the floor. We got up groaning and stretched out muscles to make sure they still work.
We walked over to the seal in the floor. It was even bigger than I thought! The light from the rims of the seal filled the room with light. I felt like we were in a stadium field. The seal itself looked like a clock face with 12 deep red smaller seals around it and spaced evenly. It did*’t cover the whole floor; around it was a marble floor that was smooth and shiny. Doodle inspected one of the smaller seals, which was as big as he was.
“These seals are magical.” Doodle said rubbing one. “They are like locks. Each need to be broken before… ‘He’ gets free.” He spat out the last part with fear. I approached him.
“Will you be able to break them?” I asked quietly. Doodle shook his head sorrowfully. “These seals were forged by Saradomin’* best mages… Maybe even Saradomin himself. The magic needed to break them is far beyond my ability.” I trembled with despair. But then I suddenly remembered something. I closed my eyes and sullenly remember the feather that drifted down to me. I open my eyes and it was in my hands: the feather with a whitish-red spine and blood red feathers.

*Use this.” I said bluntly, holding it to Doodle. Doodle starred at it with apprehension.
“Where did that come from?” He asked. I shook my head, not trusting my words. I continued to hold out the feather until he slowly took it. He took the feather and inspected it. He rustled his fingers through the feather then blew it to make them straight again. “This feather contains much power, maybe even enough to break the seals.” Doodle said, starring in awe at the feather. He made it float in between his hands then made it rise into the air. It started spinning around and around until it was only a red spherical blur. Doodle uttered an incantation and the sphere suddenly pulsed with red energy. The energy eventually erupted out of the sphere in the form of a red beam of light and targeted one of the seals. Doodle kept his eyes closed and hands up in the air, controlling the energy.
Minutes went by endlessly as we waited for the seal to break. Just as we started to lose hope, we heard a loud crack as one of the smaller seals erupted into a small explosion of energy. Yoshi and I whooped out loud and gave each other a high five. Doodle was still in a meditative state, but the beam was shifted from the broken seal to another. In about 5 minutes, that seal fell victim to Doodle’s attack also. Then a third, then a fourth. Then a fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth!
With two seals to go, Yoshi and I waited in anticipation and pondered on what would happen. Suddenly the cavern filled with the gentle sound of a haunting melody.
"Tra la la laaa…” sung the voice. Yoshi and I looked around, startled. “Whose there!?” Yoshi yelled, fear filling his voice. I looked around to try to find the source of the voice to no avail. Then I looked up to the cave entrance to see that something jumped off the cliff down towards us. “There no way anything can survive the fall!” I looked up incredulously. I was wrong.

Yoshi followed my gaze just in time so see whatever it was land in front of us. The ground resonated with a thud. Cracks ran around the room, breaking the perfect marble floor. We waited for the smoke to clear, alert for any movement. Finally the dust settled and what appeared was a four-legged creature that was kneeling, it’s head shone bright with some sort of shiny object on it. It up righted itself. I looked on in horror as I remembered Zamorak’s warning. “Beware the Bane.” I muttered dreadfully to myself. What stood up was Starlight, The Bane of Darkness.
I whispered to Yoshi,”She’s only after Doodle. Her main object is to kill anyone who breaks the seals, and anyone who gets in the way.”
“Sooo…What do we do?” Yoshi whispered.
“We get in the way.” I said turning to him. “Oh, fantastic.” Yoshi said.
Starlight turned to Doodle, who was still in a trance and wasn’t aware of anything. “Breaker-of-the-seals, prepare to be vanquished.” Said Starlight, projecting her thoughts. She scrapped her left front hoof against the ground, about to sprint. I jumped in the way. “I’m afraid I can’t let you do that.” I said, my face expressionless. She slightly jerked her head to the side in a confused glance. “So be it.” She projected.
She charged at me just in time to hear the eleventh seal break. “Just five minutes Yoshi! We have to keep her busy for five minutes!” I yelled, raising my sword and swinging it at Starlight. Showing a blatant disrespect for the law of gravity, she jumped over my head, clearing it by a good number of feet. Yoshi let out a battle cry and charged Starlight with his maul, swinging it with deadly precision. She jumped aside with unnatural speed, then lowered her head, and charged Yoshi with her horn aimed at him. Yoshi frantically tried to run until he hit the wall, and he quickly jumped away.
Starlight was running full speed when she hid the wall head-first. That ought to keep her busy for at least a minute! WRONG!

The horn had been impaled in the wall, but she still effortlessly was able to take it out. Inside the rock wall was a perfect mold of her horn, which came out without a scratch. “Note to self,” I said, “do not get hit by the horn.”
In a heartbeat she was already upon me. “No way can anything move that fast!* I thought. “She was nothing but a blur!”
With all my strength, I grunted at I swiped my sword sideways at her horn, making contact, knocking her head to the side making her divert her course. This ending up as another hole in the wall. Before she could get out of the wall, I jumped onto her back in an attempt to… Umm… You know what, I really don’t know what I was planning on doing, but I did it anyway. Starlight wined and reared back onto two legs, but that only made me hold on tighter. She started bucking and thrashing in an attempt to get me off. However, I held firm… for about 5 seconds.
I was thrown into the air and landed flat on my back on the cold, unforgiving marble floor. I once again got the wind pushed out of me. “That makes three times today.” I thought painfully to myself. I felt the floor vibrate slightly. My eyes snapped open and I rolled out of the way, just barely missing Starlight’s hooves. She had tried to trample me to death. She continued on running though, nearly upon Doodle. Yoshi jumped in front of her path and swung his maul at the charging beast only to find that Starlight had jumped over him. There was now no one to defend Doodle. I desperately got to my feet. “Noo!” I shouted, running to Doodle.
That’s when a loud crack filled the room. It made Starlight stop in her tracks. The twelfth seal had been broken. Doodle immediately broke away from his trance. The feather overhead disappeared into oblivion, returning to whence it came. Doodle scurried off the large seal as the entire cavern shook.
The middle of the giant seal split open in a blinding red light. Red mist crept out of from below.

“REDEMTION!” Whispered a deep, suffered voice. Starlight wined in terror and tried to run away, but it was to late. The red mist surrounded her and picked her into the air. The red mist became so thick that I could no longer see Starlight. When the mist receded and let go of Starlight, all the clattered to the ground was bones. Doodle ran over to us and together we watched the red mist writhe and squirm about the cavern.
Finally it “Saw” us and came at us. Alarm set in as frantic thoughts of what happen to Starlight flashed through my mind. Before we could run, the mist picked us up as well. I struggled to free myself, but I couldn’t. All my arms and legs were only able to pass through air, not solid objects to hit. We quickly ascended to the top of the cavern where we entered. The mist deposited us on the ground where we started. Relief coursed through my body as I realized that Zamorak was just helping me get back to the dungeon level.
The mist shot up to the ceiling and disappeared through it. The three of us sat there for a time, panting and just staring at each other. Then Yoshi started to laugh. Gently and controlled at first, but then did*’t hold back and his laughter filled the cavern. Then Doodle started laughing, and like a contagious disease, I started laughing. We chuckled and giggled for a good two minutes before we had to catch out breaths. We took long deep gulps of air while we wiped the tears from our eyes. I smiled and said, “Let’s go find the others.” The others nodded and we all stood out and ran back through the corridor to the stairwell.
We ascended it quickly, arriving at the top in about ten minutes. We were greeted at the top with not only bright light and a secure room, but also Oreo, Jaya, and Amy were sitting at a table looking bored. They almost fell out of their seats as we busted in. *Noob! Thank goodness your okay!” Amy ran over and hugged me. I hugged her back, but then brought her back and looked into her eyes.

“What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be finding the mechanism to release the gate.” I stated. Oreo cleared he throat to get my attention. I looked at him and saw he was pointing. I followed his finger until I saw a lever on the other side of the room. Above it in big bold letters said the words “Gate Mechanism.” I looked back at Oreo. “That’s convenient.” I said.
“Well what happened with you guys? Find anything interesting?” asked Jaya. That made me laugh out loud! I spent the next few minutes recounting on what had transpired down the corridor. Everyone was silent when I finished.
“So…” Jaya hesitated, “Zamorak is…free?” I nodded in response. Everyone broke out into grins, high fives, and hugs. It was a good moment knowing we now had a very powerful ally. I don’t know exactly how Zamorak is going to help us, but I know he will. I just hope it happens soon.
I walked over to the lever and grunted as I had to use all my strength to pull to towards me. Chains rattled as I heard the gate go up. *Ok, now the army is free to march unto the castle.” I said proudly. “They should provide enough of a distraction to Saradomin’s personal guards so we can fight Saradomin himself.” Everyone became quiet again. It is then I realized how far we’ve come and what I was about to do. I did*’t give my chance to stop and think otherwise I might have run away.
We got our things together and we approached the guard tower door that was right next to the lever. I opened the door to find an open courtyard that had several elegant gardens and fountains. We stepped outside and gasped as we laid our eyes upon the palace of Saradomin. It was about 300 yards away from us, with huge twirling spires and towers. There were giant windows near the top that were stained glass and depicted scenes of battle and heavenliness. The walls were white like that of old Fally, though the castle also had light blue trim.

We scurried through the courtyard, ducking behind bushes every time a sentry passed. We turned as we heard yelling coming from the gate. We all smiled. “Enough of the secrecy!” I laughed. “The army is here!”
Our army poured through the gates like ants out of an anthill, destroying the lovely gardens and fountains as they rampaged on. The few sentries that were in the courtyard did*’t stand a chance against such a massive force. With my gang in front of the army, we charged the palace. We reached the giant door only to find that it had been heavily fortified. “Neo!” I shouted.
Neo ran up to me, his arm dripping some blood and hair wet with sweat. “Yes, king?” He asked.
“This door needs to come down. Get it done.” I stated, pointing to the door. Neo saluted me and ran off to his engineers to bring in a device to bring down the door. Just when I thought this was going to be a nice quiet wait…
I heard a whistle as an arrow came down from the sky and killed a soldier next to me. Then another one and another. The army became confused around me and began to back away, but I already knew what was coming. A giant centaur jump down from one of the walls with a bow in hand. It release another volley aimed at me. I managed to skirt away just in the nick of time.
“You have come far enough!” Bree yelled in a deep, masculine voice. I drew my sword. “I’ll be the judge of that!” I screamed back. I turned to Amy and gave her a nod. She nodded back and strung an arrow and together we both ran at Bree. He let out another arrow, but just as it was about to hit me, Amy fired towards the arrow and incredibly managed to intercept it whilst in the air and diverted the arrow from it’s course. This amazing happened two more times before I was within striking distance of Bree. I jumped into the air and with a yell I brought down my sword on Bree. He raised his bow and was able to block it. I was shocked that his bow was strong enough to deflect a sword blow of that magnitude.

He swung around and kicked me with one of his back hooves and sent me gasping for breath to the ground. “Four…” I wheezed out, doubling over in pain. Amy covered me by letting loose another arrow aimed at Bree. He strung an arrow with amazing agility and fired an arrow and was able to hit her arrow and split it in half. Amy looked dismayed as her arrow fell to the ground in halves. Bree jumped back and strung another arrow and fired it, aiming at me when my back was turned.
There was nothing between me and the arrow, and I was unaware so I couldn’t do anything about it. Amy saw this and her eyes grew large. “Noo!” She yelled and ran and pushed me out of the way. This put her in the arrows path. The arrow hissed as it hit it*s target.
Amy’s eyes grew large and her lips quivered as she looked down to see an arrow protruding out of her belly. I was face first in the dirt, but got up, spit out the dirt in my mouth, then turned around to see Amy on her knees… and she had been shot. “Oh my god no!” I yelled and crawled over to her. I got over there just in time to catch her in my arms and I gently lowered her to the ground. Doodle ran over to me while the other three distracted Bree.
I was kneeling over her body, tears flooding out of my eyes like rain. She was unconscious from losing so much blood. I shook her gently while sobbing. “Amy you can’t do this. Come back to me!” I shook her harder. “COME BACK TO ME!!!” Doodle reached me and pulled me off and inspected the body.
“She’s still alive.” He said grimly. I got a burst of hope. “Heal her Doodle, use your magic!” I commanded through tears.
Doodle looked mournfully at me and said, “Noob…she’s lost to much blood… I can’t-”
“Doodle, heal her!” I screamed at him. I held one of her hands with both of my hands, willing her back to consciousness. Doodle closed his eyes as silent tears poured from his eyes. He yanked out the arrow and immediately covered the wound with both his hands.
