People around him were suddenly silent, as though they were holding their breaths in anticipation. He should say something. He looked at the birds outside.
(c)Mr. Happy:A raven?
A few people in the room chuckled, breaking the silence, and Mr. Happy could see Sinusoidal redden. Was it the wrong answer? Decaprio, however, gave Mr. Happy a peculiar look and, getting to his knees, reached into his pocket to pull out a few folded pieces of paper. He unfolded them with slightly shaking fingers and read -
Decaprio:The Raven, by Edgar Allen Poe.
Decaprio:A bit of light reading I had picked out for between seminars
Decaprio:But...but...
Decaprio:How could you know?
Mr. Happy was confused. Were the papers supposed to be a raven? Everyone around the table was now giving him the same peculiar look Decaprio had given him. Should he talk again?
Mr. Happy:I answered your question then?
Decaprio:Yes.
Decaprio sat back down heavily, surveying Mr. Happy.
Decaprio:Yes, I guess you did.
Decaprio:You are an odd one.
Decaprio
r maybe just extremely apt at inference...
(c)Mr. Happy:?
Decaprio:Well, it doesnt matter.
Decaprio:I asked you a question, you may ask me one in return.
Decaprio:I'm sure you are curious about some aspect of Xanadu.
After sitting still and pondering it for a minute. (c)Mr. Happy decided that there was nothing he was really interested in.
(c)Mr. Happy:Not really
Decaprio:Aren't you interested in a guild?
He looked at Sinusoidal and Gizmo B Free.
Decaprio:I assume you've visited the magic building...
(c)Mr. Happy:Yes
Decaprio:And no interest.
(c)Mr. Happy:No
Decaprio:A man of versatility?
Mr. Happy:Uh...I guess so
Decaprio
on't worry, you'll find something to interest you here.
(c)Mr. Happy:Well, there is Base4
That was received by laughs from the other members of the meeting.
Decaprio:Yes, of course Base4.
Decaprio:And the dance so soon...
