Good news; Thanks to spring break I should be able to add on Wednesday as well as Tuesday and Thursday; also I will TRY to make adds to both Black Pentagram and Monolith on all three days.

Also, I am feeling better. Thank you for your concern Orcris, and the interesting talk we had.

One last note, on Spring Break (And Summer Break, and Winter Break) my sleep schedule gravitates toward me being up at night and asleep during the day. So the adds might be made late night/early morning on the days I mentioned.

Thank you xflyingkidx, I'll go talk to him about that. He probably didn't mean to plagiarize it, and was simply trying to bring another "sermon" to the thread (Although, the Zarosian warcry is not a "sermon" its a litany, so it seems a bit out of place.) “With Lord Azzanadra here, it seems all our troops are confident of victory,” noted Hekate.

“Who can blame them?” asked Orcris, “He is, after all, the Champion of Zaros.”

“Still,” mused Taika, “I’ve heard Lucien has grown to tremendous power, and furthermore, it seems Zemourgal is here as well… between the two of them, even Azzanadra should have a tough fight.”

“I would assume so,” Orcris agreed, “Well, let’s get ready, this will be a long battle.”

“You’re not going to be participating in the battle,” commented Liam as he walked up to the group.

“What?!” questioned Orcris, “Why not?!*

*Lord Azzanadra’s orders,” replied Liam, “You, me, Hekate, Seth, Taiyama, Rose, and Taika, along with a Guthixian named Jayson, an Armadylyst named Daefon, and a Freminik named Jun are not participating in the battle.”

“Why did*’t he come to tell us this?” demanded Taika.

“Pay attention to your surroundings,” sighed Liam, “We’re within clear sight of the enemy. Think about how it would look; Lord Azzanadra walks over to a group of apparently seasoned adventures, and talks to them for a while, and when the battle starts, those adventurers are nowhere to be seen. How would you interpret this?”

“The group’s been sent to perform some strategic task which will heavily influence the battle,* said Orcris.

“Is that it?” asked Hekate, “We’re being sent to do something important?!”

“Not so loudly!” hissed Liam, “Anyway, I’ll come get you shortly before the battle actually starts and explain what’s going on, for now, please act as if you were going to participate in the battle.”

On one of the parapets of Lucien’s castle, a young boy with white hair, and sparkling red eyes watched over the two camps.

“Such energy,” he mused, “This will be an interesting day.”

“Hey, kid! How’d you get here?!” demanded a guard, running over to the boy.

The child sighed and vanished, appearing right behind the guard. He placed his hand on the guard’s back saying as he did so, “Circean Poison Beta.” After he did this, the guard fell forward and landed on the floor, where he sat grinning stupidly at nothing, and muttering gibberish.

“Humans,” commented the boy, *They are so very fragile… you believe so too, don’t you? Lucien.”

“Oh, so you noticed me?” questioned the mahjarret as he walked out into the open.

“It wasn’t that hard,” replied the boy as he turned to face Lucien, “You mahjarret give off a strong aura, even when you aren’t holding a god’s staff.”

“Is that so?” questioned Lucien as he brandished Armadyl’s staff. “Oh well, it doesn’t matter, as I’ll soon rid myself of you.” With this Lucien released a dark ball of energy which he sent hurling toward the boy. For his part the boy just smiled, and disappeared.

“That was mean,” the boy’s voice said, “Attacking an observer who doesn’t take sides.”

“Where are you?” demanded Lucien.

“As if I’m going to really answer,” the boy’s voice sighed. “Before I leave though, Lucien, a word of warning; you are not a god yet, and even if you were, there are things stronger than the gods of this world. As you may soon be reminded.”

Lucien stood on the fortress walls for a few moments more, trying to detect the intruder; however, the boy had either actually left or was doing such a good job of hiding his presence that Lucien couldn’t detect him, so the mahjarret sighed and prepared to leave.

“My lord,” one of Lucien’s soldiers said with a salute.

“Yes?” questioned the mahjarret.

“The enemy is on the move,” replied the soldier.

Lucien grinned to himself; time to put those foolish mortals in their place. They would be the first to fall before him as he ascended to godhood.

“Rally the troops,” he ordered, “By the end of this day, the land will run thick with our enemy’s blood.”

The soldier bowed and set off to his work, while Lucien headed to a different part of the fortress in order to get a better view of the battlefield.

Arrows, spells, and cannonballs rained down on Lucien’s troops as the opposing armies tried to soften the resistance they would be facing. Sitting a ways into the camp Zemourgal snickered to himself at his opponents’ tactics. Let them kill as many as they wanted, he would just bring them back as undead to fight again.

“Sorry, we won’t be allowing that,” a voice nearby said, as if in answer to Zemourgal’s thoughts.

Zemourgal turned and found himself staring at a young human mage, who was clearly not working for Lucien.

“How did you get here?” Zemourgal questioned, “Ah, no matter, kill him!”

A group of zombie guards stumbled toward the mage, who calmly raised his staff and struck it against the ground, causing lighting to surround him and fry the approaching zombies.

Zemourgal stared at the mage, dumbstruck, then questioned, “Who are you?”

“Aquaregis,” replied the mage, “Perhaps you’ve heard of me?”

Zemourgal snorted and rose to his feet. “You’ve got a lot of nerve,” he hissed, “I’ve heard you’re strong among humans, but you’re still no match for a mahjarret!”

“We shall see,” replied Aquaregis, “Shall we begin?”

“Arise oh, souls of the condemned!” shouted Zemourgal.

With this order, a massive tremor split the land, causing the advancing army to stop in its tracks, and stare in awe. Chasms opened up throughout the battlefield, and from within their depths an unearthly moaning could be heard. This moaning soon gave way to thousands of shrieks as the souls of the damned were released upon Gielinor. They appeared like red mist, and taking the form of claws, eyes, and mouths, they ascended from the depths and made their way to Aquaregis, tearing and shredding all that they crossed, be it stone, snow, or person, friend or foe, until they reached the mage himself.

When they had nearly reached the mage he raised his arms and shouted, “Lesson of Icarus, make yourself known once more!”

A ball of fire, similar to the sun itself appeared over the mage, singeing all it came in touch with, melting away the snow itself and revealing the land underneath; land that had not been thawed since the god wars. The vile souls approaching Aquaregis howled in pain and fled back into the crevices they had swarmed out of but moments earlier.

“If all you are able to do is summon the undead,” said Aquaregis, “Then this fight will be over very quickly, Zemourgal.”

The mahjarret sneered at these words, and shouted, “Great river of fire, come forth to this land!”

There was a loud noise akin to seven thousand explosions going off at once, and from the earth a fountain of glowing red liquid appeared. The liquid set fire even to the dirt that it passed, and melted stone and metal as if it were butter. This was the river Phlegethon, one of the five rivers that made its way through the netherworld, it was said to be the embodiment of all anger that had ever been felt. Destroying all its obstacles, it rapidly made its way toward Aquaregis.

“Summoning a river from the netherworld,” mused Aquaregis, “Do not think you are the only one who can do that; come forth oh river of cold sorrow, hatred, and loneliness!”

A large geyser sprayed forth from a different part of the land, and flowed in a way to block the Phlegethon’s advance. All around this river, ice formed, coating the land only recently thawed with a layer of ice. This was the river Cocy*us, said to be the embodiment of all sorrow ever felt, although it remained liquid, its temperature was said to approach that of zero Kelvin, that is, absolute zero.

The two rivers collided, and with a hiss, the Phlegethon turned to solid metal, and the Cocy*us to mist; then both vanished from the surface of Gielinor. Without waiting for Zemourgal to recover, Aquaregis shouted, “Gods of lore, I call upon you to smite the fool before me! May he experience thy wrath as a furious thunderbolt!”

The skies above Zemourgal began to glow, and with a sudden boom, hundreds of lightning bolts fell at once, striking the mahjarret in unison. The force of the attack seemed to burn the air itself, and left the ground beneath Zemourgal’s feet a pool of magma. The mahjarret himself was sent headlong into the dirt.

From a distance, Orcris watched with appreciation. He was one of the few who knew that the real Aquaregis was dead, and that Sliske had taken his place. Thus, he was also one of the few to know that what he was witnessing was a fight between two mahjarret. Seeing this, he understood why the mahjarret ritual often drove any mortal who watched it insane; it would be like this battle, only several of them going on at once in the same area… Silently, Orcris wondered how the world itself managed to survive this.

“Looks like its about time to be going,” commented Liam.

“Why’s that?” asked Taiyama.

Liam simply pointed to the castle; there was a lone figure exiting it, and making his way to Aquaregis.

Aquaregis jumped to the side, barely fast enough to dodge as a dark bolt struck the ground he had been standing on, and turning everything nearby to ash. Turning he found himself facing Lucien.

“You’re pretty good,” commented Lucien, “Handling my cousin like that. However, you’re no match for me!” With this, Lucien unleashed a myriad of dark bolts at Aquaregis, making it impossible to dodge. Thankfully, for the mage, an ornate wall appeared between him and Lucien, blocking the attack, but turning to ash in the process.

“You always did like to pick on those weaker than yourself,” a voice chastised Lucien, “How about a real test of your power?”

Lucien’s eyes widened for a moment as a figure in violet armor appeared in front of him.

“Azzanadra,” said Lucien, “You were quite the terror some time ago, but now, I am a god, you cannot match me!”

“Oh?” said Azzanadra, “I seem to recall that I managed to take Saradomin and Zamorak on before; fighting another false god can’t be that hard.”

Aquaregis lowered himself into a battle stance behind Azzanadra, preparing to assist against Lucien.

“Oh no you don’t!” shouted Zemourgal, slowly picking himself back up. He was clearly injured, but not fatally, “Your opponent is me!”

“The mahjarret are distracted, and both armies are watching them,” noted Liam, “Let’s go.”

Having heard this, the small group broke into a sprint toward Lucien's fortress.
