Well, I decided to read before going to bed as I just noticed the thread. So the stone was fought over, taken, and now the world must be saved. Strange that the TzHaar seem to be more efficient than machinegun nests of WW2, but oh well.
I have speculated that Greg will end up saving the world, as is the case, but everyone will be dead, or Greg will follow his routes and defeat everyone, freind and foe, to take over Gielinor himself, but we'll see.
Funny, because the name Greg, coming from the Greek name Gregorios, is a name that means 'vigilance', 'to be vigilant'. Well, that's a good name for the protagonist, seeing as he does exactly that since the day he was born. Another interesting aspect of this Greek name is that it is of Christian routes, which is unusual becuase many names of the Ancient World were based off of paganism or classicism. Perhaps this is a foreshadowing of the end or aftermath. Not sure if the name's meaning was intentional though. Honestly, in my own stories, some characters' names will be chosen specifically for their purpose.
Well, that's all, as I gtg to bed and wait for work.

You have an interesting idea of the story's plot.
Yes, the TzHaar are very effective (surprisingly so) but when you think of a, say, 15 foot tall giant of obsidian plowing through lines of goblins, little demons, and undead skeletons, I don't think it would be very difficult...
I find that interesting that Gregory's name had Greek roots. If I had thought of such a thing before I made this story, I would have probably chosen a name with a fitting latin or greek root, but as it is I find the coincidence very amusing.
Here is the last chapter.

Chapter XXXXV
Sarah opened her eyes. For a few moments, she couldn’t tell who, what, or where she was, but gradually she remembered.
She was lying on the wilderness wall, with stinking dead creatures all around her. She stood up, and looking north into the wilderness, viewed an appalling sight.
Every single evil creature that had been on that field... was dead. Those defenders that were good were alive, but asleep, as if they all fell asleep at once.
As she looked into the distance, she saw a single standing figure among all the fallen, a young man.
“Hello! Who are you?”
“It is I, Gregory! I see you have awoken. I suppose the spell is finally weakening.”
“I... I... I can’t believe what happened! What was that white dot that fell out of the sky?*
*It was me, Sarah,” he said, as he walked towards the wall. “I had obtained the Stone of Jas, and after I used it, I flew up into the sky, and charged myself with lightning. That blast and flash you saw was the power of a hundred lightning bolts going outward all at once. I made sure the blast would not kill any allies, but it had a lethal effect on the enemy.”
“Well, I cannot say I am not relieved. But it is so hard to believe...”
“Indeed, I was surprised myself at the huge scale of power I obtained from using the Stone. It magnified my power to an amazing extent; far more then seems possible. I do not think Lucien was using it correctly... Let us awake the others, for we need to have a council.

All the remaining allies that could be found alive were brought south to Varrock, and the leaders of each group came forward into the palace to have a meeting.
“I am sure you all experienced what I did last night,” began John, “But I am still ignorant as to how the entire enemy died all of a sudden, and we did not.*
Gregory replied, “I suppose it is time to reveal all to you. I was not at the battle yesterday, not until the very end.”
A few people gasped, but most of them simply looked puzzled.
“I told my personal group, the friends that trained with me, what I was planning. I infiltrated Lucien’s base, and obtained the Stone of Jas after a huge fight with five Mahjarrat.”
Everyone, even Gregory’s friends, were amazed at this, as it seemed to them impossible that one man could combat five Mahjarrat at once.
“After the battle, I teleported away with the Stone, hid it, used it, and then flew into the air. I created a vortex, collected as much power from the lightning in the clouds as I could, and then hurtled down to earth. When I touched the ground, and shockwave destroyed everything on the field; however, I made sure that my allies stayed safe by putting a few incantation in the mix; as a result, it simply put them all to sleep, and they woke up the next day. Does anyone have a question?”

A guard spoke up, asking, “So, how did you manage to defeat all the Mahjarrat? I mean, they have always been known for immense power and guile, and it seems strange that they would be so easily defeated.”
“A good question. Two main factors contributed to the situation. One, I was the only one using the Stone of Jas for the first part of the battle. Two, the Mahjarrat were all fighting amongst themselves, so I did not receive the full brunt of the attack.”
“Ah, I understand.”
Following this, King Roald and King Arthur asked a few questions, as did many other men and elves. After all questions had been answered, Gregory and his friends retired to their underground base.

“So... Gregory... explain something to me,” said John. “How does the Stone of Jas work, and why hasn’t Lucien used it to do what you did yesterday? If you were capable of using its power to blast an enemy army of like four hundred thousand in one spell, why couldn’t Lucien have done the same? And, you said you collected the power for the blast from the lightning, but doesn’t the Stone provide the power you need?”
“You have a lot of questions John, but I will attempt to answer them.”
The entire group crowded around, hungry for knowledge.
“The Stone of Jas... does give power, but it also gives capacity for power. Imagine it like this: I am a pitcher, capable of holding a small amount of water. The Stone of Jas not only fills my pitcher with water, but also magnifies the size of my pitcher by a huge factor. However, it does not entirely fill this large pitcher; it only fills it, say, a tenth of the way. A tenth of the larger pitcher is still at least twenty times as much as I could hold with a full pitcher before, but there is still a long way to go before I have reached my full capacity.”
“Oh, I understand, so when you used the Stone, you went up into the clouds and collected the power from the clouds as a way of filling up your capacity.”
“Yes. Only this is what shocks and amazes me: that blast I did yesterday... was only about two fifths of my full capacity. If I charged up all the way... I could be a god!”
The group looked at him with dumbfounded faces. Finally, Eric spoke up.
“So, why can’t Lucien do this?”

“I will explain. I used the Stone in a unique and different way. The way it works naturally, is that the farther from the Stone you are, the weaker its support. But this can be changed. You see, Lucien has power, but he lacks creativity. If he had done what I did, he would have full possession of Runescape already.”
“So what did you do?”
“I took the Stone to somewhere secret, and spent time working on it with linking and enchantment spells. I essentially connected it to myself, so I need not be near it to have its full effect. It is hidden many miles away from here, but I am still using... about ninety-five percent of its power.”
“So, what do you intend to do with this power?”
“I will charge myself up to full capacity, and stay that way. I must be ready for whatever comes, as I am sure Lucien is planning to make retribution.”

Gregory’s comrades teleported to Varrock to watch the skies, and to see what it looked like while Gregory charged himself.
Many people in the city were also aware of what was to happen, and they also came to see.
About twenty minutes later, they saw what they were looking for.
Storm clouds gathered, and another vortex appeared in the sky. Lightning flashed, but not down. All the lighting was attracted to the center of the vortex, where it was sucked in and absorbed. This scene went on for ten minutes, and the thunder became louder and louder.
Finally, it slowed down, and five minutes later, it ceased. There was no gleaming point of light falling out of the sky.
Gregory, having charged himself all the way, teleported to Varrock. He was radiant, and his feet floated off the ground a bit.
“You look... different,” stammered Robert.
“I feel different. I had no idea how much power I could hold. Haha, I will enjoy combating a few Mahjarrat now.”
“It may be that you will have your chance now,* called Mathew from the wall. “I see six dark figures walking toward Varrock from the Wilderness.”
“Six?”
“Yes, six.”
Gregory quickly floated out of the city, with his friends following closely. He looked into the distance. Sure enough, six dark figures were slowly coming closer to the city.
“My friends, stay behind. I will face them.”
They all went back into the city, and climbed onto the wall where they would be able to see clearly.
Gregory climbed over the Wilderness Wall, and walked toward the six menacing figures. He forced the outward appearances of his power to fade, walking on his own feet again and ceasing to glow. When they had come within shouting distance, he halted, but they continued coming forward.
“You challenge me again, Mahjarrat. I see that Azzandra has betrayed me for good, and the five of you have reconciled with each other, but who is the sixth in your number?”

“I am Silske, and I have finally joined the forces of my fellow Mahjarrat because I have realized the threat you pose while you own the Stone.”
“And you expect to get it from me?”
“We can see, Gregory, that you do not have it with you, so, it should not be a difficult task to destroy you now...*
Gregory began to chuckle, slowly breaking out into a full-hearted laugh, “He... he... he... hahaha... hahahahahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
The Mahjarrat were startled at his mirth, but they did not have time to consider why he should be so carefree, for he said, “My dear friends, you have no imagination. Do you not know that the Stone does not need to be present for me to use it?”
Gregory let his power show, even more then it had in the city. His feet came off the ground, and his entire body began to glow so brightly that the Mahjarrat had difficulty looking at him.
Instantly, all six of his enemies cast spells at him, but they had no effect. Their ice spells instantly melted on impact, their blood spells could not suck at his life source, and their fire went out.
In return, Gregory held his gleaming hands into the sky, and each hand seemed to explode with power. He then cast the two spells at the Mahjarrat, sending them all screaming into the air.
“Why did you betray me, Azzandra?” asked Gregory, as he blasted Lucien with an ice spell, freezing him in a solid block of ice.
“I need... the Stone... for Zaros...” he whimpered, as he tried to get on his feet to fight.
Gregory cast spells left and right, but there was no real need to fight on. All six of the Mahjarrat were on the ground, screaming in pain. They were too weak to get on their feet, but even if they could they were too afraid of Gregory to stand anyway.
As Gregory stood over them, there was a roar of thunder and a flash of light, and Guthix appeared ten feet in front of him.
