Chapter 21: Hives

The scorching heat was beaming down on Keril as he put his hand over his eyes. The sun rays were brighter than ever in the desert Alkharid.

"Where do we go?" said Tilus fanning herself. Willo looked around, "Right now, I'm just headed for shade!" He ran to the nearest bank to cool off.

Keril let out a sigh of relief, shade at last. "It says here that the desert can reach up to 120 degrees Farenhiet, not including the main desert, which can reach to 140 degrees Farenhiet.

Willo wiped some sweat off his face, "Let's get that key and get out of here, I'm going to die of this heat!"

There was a loud scream emiting from the Alkharid Castle. Keril turned his head towards the origin of the scream. "What's going on there?" He said to himself.

A small group of Black Knights had made it into Alkharid. "Help! Help!" shouted the Sultain running to the corner of the room.

A group of undeads appeared from the ground and joined in the fray. The Alkharid guards, were no match. Keril took a javeilien and piereced a Black Knight deep into their body. He pulled out his sword and made a flip over an undead. He sunk his sword deep into it's decaying heart.

Tilus turned her Devil's Arm Elatus into a sharp, steel boomerang. She threw it at the undeads, decapitating them very quickly.

"I summon...Celcius!" shouted Willo, finally making a move. An ice madien appeared from his Devil's Arm. "Destroy them, but do not harm my friends" Celcius smiled, "As you wish" She blew a cold breeze over the undeads and Black Knights, leaving them forever frozen like statues.

However, there was still one more Black Knight alive. Keril picked him up, "Why are you and the undeads working together?" The Black Knight laughed, "You fool! You don't get it, Zaros is more powerful than you think, he can control the dead!" His body immediatly went limp after and his eyes grew dark. Keril dropped the body and approached the Sultain.

"Thank you! However can I repay you!" said the Sultain said bowing his head. "Please Sultain, can you tell us where the Kalphite Queen and her lair are?" The Sultain's skin went pale at the very word 'Kalphite Queen' He sat in his chair, putting his head in his face. "What's the matter?" said Tilus.
"I...I can't tell you!" he stammered. "Why not? Do you not know?" said Willo egarely. The Sultain slammed his fist on the table, "If I told you, you would end up the same as my family during our trip in the desert"
"What happened?" said Keril. The Sultain sighed and started his story, "It was my seventh birthday. My mother and father took me out to the desert of Al*harid so I could buy myself riches and golds, far more beautiful then any other. However, as we approached, we saw a deep hole. One of the guards went in, and never came out. Only two minutes later, a swarm of Kalphites had appeared, devouring my mother and father. I was saved by one guard who led me out"
He nodded his head, "I cannot let anyone else endure such a fate, it would be beyond me" "I know it's hard that your family had died from the Kalphite" said Keril with a sorrowed voice, "But if you don't tell us, then Zaros will cause the Armageddon" The Sultain raised his head, "The Armageddon?! If it is to be that, then I shall tell you everything I know about the lair"
He handed him a map, showing where all the Kalphites lairs were, and where the Kalphite Queen was. "Thank you Sultain" said Keril bowing. The Sultain stopped him before he could bow. "No, it is not you that bows for me" He got on his knees and bowed. "I bow for you, saviors of Al*harid. Kill that Kalphite Queen, for me"
Tilus smiled, "Gotcha" They group slowly walked towards the edge of Al*harid, and found themselves in the Shanty pass. "Hi! Would you like a pass!" said a man named Shanty. "Why do we need a pass?" Shanty smiled, "I overheard, if you want to get to the Kalphite Queen, buy a pass"
