Chapter 12: Castle Wars and a Departing

“So, Leto and Amascus really left us?” said Keril. Ezril doubted it. He knew that they’d come back, the put their word on it. “Nah, I’m sure they’ll come back soon enough” Roku smiled, “Good, I miss them already” “Where to next?” asked Keril. Ezril stopped on the trail. He didn’t know where to go next, it was always Amascus who knew where they would go. “I’m not sure, we look for the Devil’s Arms I guess”

“I heard that there was someone strong in Castle Wars, do you think he has a Devil’s Arm?” said Kai. Ezril squinted into the distance to try and make out the shape on the horizon. There were two banners on a huge castle. “This must be Castle Wars, why not look here?” Roku paused, “Castle Wars? What is this?” Keril’s mouth dropped open.

“Castle Wars is only probably the most popular mini game in the world!” Roku scratched his head in confusion. “Forget it” replied Keril. “So, you think he’s any good at Castle Wars?” said Kai. Ezril looked up at the huge
lumbering shape. “If he’s holding a Devil’s Arm, I think he’s probably strong” Kai smirked. “Do you think he’ll challenge us to a game of Castle Wars?” asked Kai. Keril’s eyes shot out. “I hope so! I haven’t played this game in ages!”

It wasn’t long until they saw people pouring out, probably because a game had just ended. “Come on, let’s get ready to find him, me and Keril will go to Zamorack while you and Kai go to Saradomin, look and their handle and if you find him, contact us too” The others agreed and quickly went into the portals” They searched every person’s weapon, but still, they couldn’t find the Devil’s Arm. Suddenly, Kai saw an imp carrying a sword with a circle in it! “Hey, can I talk to you outside?” he asked. “Sure” said the imp. He went outside and saw a young girl right next to him.

"So what did you want to tell me?" asked the girl. Kai just stood there. "Well, my friends are coming" The girl sighed, "Come on, the games starting in 5" Kai walked over to Keril. "Did you find him?" asked Ezril. Kai and Roku looked at each other. "Yeah, she's a girl, only about seventeen"

"So, what do you want?" she said. Her eyes were blue and her her was blonde and long. Her skin was very smooth and she was pretty small. "Well, we know that you have a weapon called a 'Devil's Arm'" The girl stared at them, "How'd you know that" Roku stepped up. "I saw the carving in it" She put her hand on her hip. "Dang, everyone now a days know it's a Devil's Arm"

"Can you please give it to us, it seems wierd now, but its for an extremely important reason" She smirked, "Well, how about this, if you win the game of Castle Wars, I give it to you, but if you lose, you have to take me out to my favorite dinner and pay for everything" Roku smiled, "You're on" She turned around, "Oh by the way, I never lose Castle Wars"

Kai put on his runite armour and Ezril placed his armour on too. Roku only took a wooden shield and Keril got his mage outfit ready. "So, I hope we win this game" said Keril with a smile. Roku smiled back, "I'm sure we can win" This was a dangerous game, if they died here, there was a chance they would be dead for good. Roku shivered a bit.

"One minute left!" shouted a player. They were all bloodthirsty and ready to fight. "So, you gathering up on bandages and baricades?" asked Ezril. Keril tugged him over. "Here's what I bring in every pack, I call it my handy flag catching pack"

-Bandages, lots of em
-3-6 explosive pots
-Rope, if in the begining
-2 Cades
-Good weapon and armour

"If you take all of these with luck, skill, luck, strategy, and more luck, you can get the flag" Ezril laughed. "Well, I'm sure happy I'm not against you" Keril patted him on the back. "So am I" "3,2,1" shouted the others. "Start!"

Ezril suddenly appeared into a hospital room with bandages. "Come on, let's go!" screamed Keril happily. Ezril remembered what Ezril told him, bandages, barricades, rope, whatever. He finally managed to get all his supplies and got outside of the base. He stood up only to see a huge wave of people pushing forward toward the middle island.

"Come on, if you aren't moving with the group, you'll be killed alone" said Kai strenly back at Ezril. Ezril quickly darted forward. "Don't set up barricades where everyone is walking" replied Roku back, "It usually annoys them" Ezril shook his head, "Yeah, I think I'm learning now"

"Kill them!" screamed a Zamorack player. "Dang, should we attack them?" said Ezril. Keril smiled, "Nope, I got it covered, just guard me" Keril suddenly muttered some ancient text and Ice Barrages came spewing out. "Ahhh! Ancient! Find him and kill him!" They were ignorant and looked everywhere they could, but still, Keril wiped them off the island.

"Kai, you and Ezril attack the base, let Roku sneak in and get the flag" Kai nodded. "Gotcha" he said grabbing a shield and flinging it at another player. "Come on Ezril, we have to mow this group down" Ezril nodded, "Aye aye sir" Kai used his Devil's Arm. "Sreech!" he screamed.

The weapon emited an awful noise, and the other players clutched their ears together. Suddenly an arrow threw Kai's weapon off into the moat. "So, you have a Devil's Arm too?" said a voice. It was the same girl they challenged. "My name's Tilus, thought you should know it before you lose" she said with a wink.

Ezril picked himself up, "Don't count your eggs before they hatch" he replied with a grin. Kai suddenly appeared from behind the river and threw his weapon. "Block!" screamed Tilus, and Kai's weapon fell to the ground. "What the heck?" thought Ezril to himself. "That weapon hit dead on!" Tilus laughed, "You thought you had me?"
