The land has been polluted in blood
Death fills all the skies
Gods have no care for the mortals
Least they meet their own demise.
As an evil rises the decaying land
The world shall tremble in fear
A tale of swords, souls and heart
The Armageddon, you shall hear.

~Scholar Corson

Prolouge:

Guthix is the god of balance, right? In between evil and good? It seemed like Guthix wasn't useful right now, and Zamorak was getting more powerful each day. New followers worshiped him, and less and less people worshipped Saradomin. Guthix knew that such a tremendous change in balance would cause a tremor in the world. Guthix only sighed.

Meanwhile, Saradomin, looking over the clouds, had seen enough. He knew that his time to stop his brother Zamorak was over. He had become weaker and weaker, because many of his followers had started to go onto the darkness of Zamorak. Saradomin just hoped that Zamorak wouldn't destroy humanity, and hoped for the best.

Zamorak, in his flaming lair, was indeed happy of this. He knew that Saradomin would not stop him, and for Guthix, he wasn't that worried. Then, as Zamorak turned around, he heard a whisper. "Zamorak.....I have come back." Zamorak started to stare around.

He shivered at the thought at that voice. "Could it be....", he thought for a second. "No, it can't be. Armadyl and I stopped him. He may be more powerful than all three of us, but I'm not afraid!", said Zamorak in a shivering voice. "Hehehehe, you still deny that you fear me?" said the voice again. "I have finally awoken from my "enternal" sleep, and now that I have come back!" The voice suddenly vanished, leaving Zamorak all alone.

Chapter 1: Thin Ice

"Amascus, step forth!" said the guards all over the street. "I wonder who that is..." said Ezril to the other people. "I think that's the local criminal", said one of the merchants. "He's been charged for serial killing, over 105 killed" Ezril shuttered at the thought of being near him.

"Well, it's a good thing that the guards caught him right?" The merchant just shook his head. "Nope, they haven't caught him yet, says he can be anywhere in this whole village" This made Ezril stand cold. He always thought that he was too young for leaving home. But he hate, hate, hated his mom and dad. They were the worst kinds. Never listening to him, they only scolded him for the worst things.

Ezril was happy that he left his mom and dad, but he thought he might have left in around 3 or 4 more years. Living on the streets at 17 alone isn't the wisest desicion. Ezril looked over into the direction of the guards, and he saw what he thought was a demon. They were appearing around town more and more often, probably evil like Zamorak at work here. But Ezril kept his guard open always.

Ezril thought that he was ready to go to sleep when he heard a whipser through the air. "Zamorak, what a lower being. He's nothing compared to our leader." Ezril was curious and looked up. It was Undeads, very powerful. These Undeads weren't of Zammorack's evil plauge. No, they were much more evil. Suddenly in shock Ezril heard, "Did that boy just see that?" from one of the Undeads. "Kill him!"

"Oh shoot!" thought Ezril. He had to get out of there, and quick. He hid underneath his bed sheets. Ezril noticed that he had twenty more minutes before he could homeport, that option was dead. He knew that the merchanter had runes, but he would have to stealthly sneak past the undeads to the merchanter's caravan.

Ezril threw a rock over into the other direction. "There he is!" screamed one of the undeads. "Kill him!". They started to run into the direction, at least all but one. Ezril ran away into the direction of the caravan. One of the undeads turned around. "Hey guys!" he screamed, but they were too far away. "Why am I the one who has to catch these pesty humans", he muttered to himself.

Ezril slammed through the door, fortunetlly for him, the merchant wasn't inside. "Ok let's see in the section R" said Ezril to himself. "Rum, Rum Deal Quest, Rummaging Guild map, where are all the Runes!!" said Ezril discouraged now. "There you are you pesty human!" said one of the undeads. "Now time for your head!" The undead rushed out, but Ezril sidestepped it with ease.

"Wow, you really gotta work on your fighting skills", said Ezril still rummaging through the shelves. "Why you little...", said an angered undead. He drew his Screeching Sword from it's sheath. Ezril turned around and slashed him with his sword and send him into a wall. The undead was no problem now. "I think he's in here!" shouted another undead. "Uh oh" thought Ezril. "Teleport to Lumbridge!" There was a flash, and Ezril was gone.

Chapter 2: Lumbridge in Trouble

Ezril started to see purple and green sparks of light all around him. After getting dizzier and dizzier, the sparks stopped and Ezril was in Lumbridge. It was, actually, a sort of pitiful sight. He heard everywhere "Spare change for the poor!" or "Please can I have some stuff?" Yep, this was same old Lumbridge.

Ezril walked down the foutains and into the general store. "I'd like to buy your best range armour and weapons." said Ezril still a bit dazed from teleporting. "The general store, is out of all armour and supplies" said one of the owners. This made Ezril very confused. For all the time he was around, he knew that general stores held at least some decent armour and weapons.

"What do you mean it's all out of supplies?" said Ezril concerned now. The two owners of the general store looked at each other, and then back at Ezril. "Should we tell him?" said one of the owners. "I don't think we should..." Ezril now knew something was wrong. "Ok, I want to know what's going on here in Lumbridge. I know something's going on and I want to know about it"

Finally after a few minutes, the two owners looked back at Ezril. "I guess you deserve to know young traveler, just don't tell anyone else ok?" "Yeah, ok", said Ezril back very impatiently.

"Well, the Black Knights have been coming into town and taking all of the general store supplies. We can't overpower them, and if we try, we usually are defeated." The two owners looked back at each other again. "Well, there's one more part, the..." BAM!! Three Black Knights barged through the door. The largest one shouted to the others, "I knew you would try to warn the citizens! Kill them! Make sure they don't leave and tell everyone else!" And all of a sudden, Ezril was in deep trouble again.

One of the Black Knights charged right at Ezril. Ezril drew his Magic Short Bow. With his special attack (Snap Shot) ready, the bow started to glow green. The tips of the arrows became filled with a strange blue spell. It let out of his quiver with extreme speed. Ezril closed his eyes for a second. When he opened them, he saw a Black Knight at point blank, two arrows in his skull.

As the Black Knight fell to the ground, the other two charged at Ezril with rage in their eyes. "Step back!" said one of the store owners. He pulled a lever, which pulled back the floor. Underneath, a pit of spikes. One of the lesser Black Knights plummeted right to his doom. The other however, was not ready to die yet. This left Ezril on one side of the pit, and the store owners on the other side.

"Run!" shouted one of the store owners. "Tell the others about this! Make sure that they figure out what is happening!" "But what about you guys?" said Ezril back. "Don't worry, well get out of this somehow" Ezril highly doubted that.

"One last thing we have to tell you before you must depart, there are rumors that the Black Knights are working with the undeads to bring out an evil force, stronger then Zamorack." Ezril was about to ask why until the store owner cut in. "We don't know what this evil is and why the Black Knights and undeads are working together, that is for you to find out, now go!" Ezril stared back one last time and thought to himself "Ok, I'll send the message" and closed the door behind him.

Ezril ran near Lumbridge Castle. After catching his breath, he finally looked around and screamed as loud as he could. "Please listen to me! Something horribly wrong is going on! You have to get out of here as quickly as possible!" A few people in the crowd started to leave, but the murmuring continued. "How do we know he's not lying?" said one soldier. The crowd seemed to agree with the soldier. "This could all be just a hoax! A setup!" said another. The crowd was convinced that Ezril was lying.

"You have to believe me! The Black Knights are working with the undead! Something stronger than Zamorak is..." The crowd started booing at him. "Get a life! Nobody cares!" said some people in the crowd. "Stop lying and learn to get attention another way!" It seemed that Ezril couldn't do anything about this. Their minds were closed.

Ezril walked down to Draynor, all alone. What if the store owners did tell him a hoax? What if this was all a lie. "No" he told himself. "Those two died so that I could spread the word. I have to figure out a way to make them believe." As Ezril turned around, he saw fire and ash get sent into the sky. A huge explosion, and the sound of screams and cries filled the air. Ezril quickly rushed to Lumbridge. Along the way, he saw many people running the opposite direction, soot and dust all over their faces.

"Whatever you do don't go to Lumbridge!" said an old man that grabbed on to him. Ezril was a bit stunned and continued to run. "Don't go! You won't like to know what you see!" Ezril thought to himself, "Yeah, I can relate to not liking what I see" When Ezril ended up in Lumbridge, he saw a huge fiery inferno, and in the middle of the fire, stood a man. "So this is Lumbridge now? What a pity"
