Amascus threw the rock and ducked as quickly as he could, "Fire in the hole!" he screamed, running back to shelter. The Steel Dragons were still rusted, and only could look as their inevitable demise met them, face to face. The ground crackled and the sky was filled with ash and dust.
When Amascus looked back up, he saw black dust marks, fire, and olbivion everywhere. The Steel Dragons were completly incinerated by the powerful blow. "Phew, I'm sure glad that wasn't us!" said Billy. And for the first time in a long time, Roku finally laughed.
Roku slid down the rock and glanced at the debris. He took a finger and rubbed it on the ash. "Well, I can't make a potion out of this" he said. Amascus and Billy started laughing. "You know, I don't know why your such a stick in the mud sometimes" said Billy. Roku looked back, "Well, somethings happen that change who you are"
Amascus looked at Roku, "Woah woah woah, what happened to you to make you change so drastically?" Roku paused, "Come on, you can tell me" said Amascus back. Roku hid his face and ran off into the distance. "Roku! Come bac-" Billy put his hand on Amascus' shoulder, "I may be younger than you, but I know that Roku needs his alone time" Amascus put his hand back down and walked to Volgath.
Volgath was astonished. The arena was deserted, long before the Ammonium struck. His helmet was tipped slightly over his face, and he adjusted it as soon as he saw Amascus making his way over to his seat. "Uh, yes, well, no one has ever defeated the last level, so, uh, I guess it's with my great gratitude that, uh" Amascus put out his hand, "Give us the Devil's Arm already"
Volgath searched through his bag and found the Devil's Arm. "What are you going to do with it?" Amascus looked at it, "Destroy it" "What?! That weapon is worth millions! You can-" Amascus jumped down to the battlefield, put the Devil's Arm in the water, and threw Ammonium at it. "That's the last of this"

Chapter 14: Tzharr Fight Pits

"Woah, this place is steaming hot!" said Leto wiping away sweat. Kai started jumping off the ground vigorusly, "Jeez, I can't believe it's still possible to be inside a volcano, I mean, this place is so cool compared to the outside" Ezril panted, "Well, let's keep going, a Devil's Arm isn't too far away"

"Welcome Tz-un-arr Ezril! Hello Tz-un-arr Kai! Greetings Tz en-arr Leto!" said Tz-harr-Mej. "What's that suppose to mean?" asked Kai back. "Are you here for a challenge?" asked Mej. Ezril nodded his head, "Well, I do like challenges, but right now, I-" Mej cut in, "Well, the prize for completing this challenge is, this weapon" He held up a Devil's Arm.

Ezril immediatly said, "Ok, so, when do we start?" Mej smiled, "I like someone with a good competitive bone" He showed Kai, Ezril and Leto into a cave. "Once you enter here, you shall fight countless amounts of enemies, leading up to the strongest enemy in the whole planet" Leto scratched his head, "But I thought the Kalphite Queen was the strongest"

Mej laughed and fell to the ground panting, "Ho Ho Ho! Tz-enn-arr Leto! You make a good joke!" he picked himself up, still laughing, "Well, you are sadly mistaken, it is not this 'Kalphite Queen' you speak of, but it is much, much more powerful. It sends a shiver down the strongest of adventurers spines. It meets them at the end of the challenge, and right when they think they've won, this monster tears them down"

Kai grinned, "Well what are we waiting for! Let's fight this thing" Mej clapped, "Very good Tz-un-arr Kai! I appluad your bravery!" Ezril thought more about this. "Well, is it possible that we can die?" Mej smiled, "Yes, if you don't win, you shall surely die" Ezril gulped.

"Well, don't worry" said Leto. "We're not going to lose with a team like this!" Ezril smiled. "I'm in" said Kai, "Me too" replied Leto. Finally, slowly but steadily, Ezril said, "Let's get that Devil's Arm"

Ezril approached the cave which they were to enter. A crackling sound emited from the cave, and a bright light surronded it. "Maybe we should get all our supplies first" said Kai. Mej agreed, "Yes, you will need many supplies to defeat the Fight Cave" Ezril looked at the onimous light, and without knowing it fell to the floor.

"Is there something wrong Tz-arr-un Ezril?" asked Mej. Ezril shook himself out of it, "No no no, I'm ok" he said picking himself up. "Well, let me get supplies and then I'll be ready to go" Finally, the group found themselves in front of the Fight Caves main entrance. "Are you ready?" said Mej. They all nodded, "Then let the Fight Cave, begin!"

It was fiery with red veins, flowing in and out. "This place is pretty wierd..." said Leto, staring around in a circle. "Hey, I think I see some monsters coming up!" they pulled out their armour and weapons, only to see Tz-Kih, a lowly fire bat. "This is all we have to fight?" said Ezril, laughing a bit.

It came up to him, and suddenly bared it's fangs and drained Ezril's prayer. "Woah! These guys might be small, but they can drain your prayer" he said stepping back. Kai shot an arrow straight through them. "Uhhhh, did we win?" suddenly Mej's voiced emited from the ceiling, "Wave 1, complete!"

Leto was confused, "Wave 1? How many waves are there?" Ezril shrugged, "Uhhh, no clue" Suddenly, more Tz-Kih came in from the sides. "Kill them before they touch us" said Ezril. They all shot out arrows to stop the beasts."Wave 2, complete!"

This time, however, four Tz-Kek came in, pulling their weight on the ground. Ezril drew his sword and dipped it in the molten lava. He lunged at the strange creature, and it melted into the ground. Ezril's sword cooled off, but it did that too early.

The Tz-Kek pulled itself together, making 2 clones of it, smaller, but still clones. "What the heck!" said Kai, drawing his sword too" This Fight Cave was getting stranger, and stranger.

"Wow, these guys are getting harder and harder" said Kai sitting on the floor. Ezril panted, "That bright light made my body fall to the ground, probably a warning that this place was dangerous" Leto laughed, "Nah, probably because that was too bright, or you didn't eat enough"

Ezril sighed, "Well, I'm pretty sure this place is not going to be a walk in the park" A loud roar came from the other side of the arena. A huge, brown, rocky figure walked towards them "Here is Tok-Xil!" said Mej. Ezril got up and threw a dagger at Tok-Xil. It went straight through it's head and pinned it to the wall, "Gotcha" he said with a grin.

However, Tok-Xil just pulled the dagger right out, and dropped it. The clank was the only noise heard as the rocky figure approached a silent Ezril. "How, but, why-" Kai stopped him, "It doesn't matter how, just kill it" he took his Crystal Bow and shot at Tok-Xil.

Leto raised her's too, but suddenly fell the the floor, clutching her hand in agonizing pain. She felt a burn on her hands, but it wasn't a monster, or the outside, it was the incription she was given. She started gasping for breath on the ground, "Ezril, you figure out what's wrong with her, I'll keep these guys abay"

Ezril rushed over to Leto and helped her up, "What's the matter?" he said worriedly. Leto slowly opened her eyes, "Uhh, it's nothing" "Well it can't be nothing if it hurt that bad" Leto shook her head, "No, it really isn't anything" Ezril tilted his head, "Well, can I see your hand and se-" Leto suddenly flung her hand back, "No!" she screamed.

The scream echoed through the cave over and over again. "What was that all about?" said Ezril. Leto put her hands on her mouth, "I'm sorry Ezril" she finally said, "I didn't mean to-"

Suddenly Ezril snatched Leto's hand. She pulled back, but Ezril wouldn't let go. He finally dropped the hand and Leto slipped it back. "Mind telling me what that is? Or is it 'nothing'"

"Well, this mark is from the Mages of Zaros, they said that I was a 'vessel' for Zaros' gift" Ezril raised his eyebrows, "What does that mean..." Leto shrugged, "I don't know, but I've been feeling burn marks on my hands everytime something like this happens" Leto picked up her Crystal bow, but when she launched an arrow, it appeared thick black.

The arrows killed the Tok-Xil in one hit, it seemed to spread through the body and engulf it with a blackness. Leto's eyes widened and looked at her bow, "Did I just do that?" Ezril also stared at the bow, what kind of power was this?! It was surrounded by an evil presence, maybe that's what the mages meant.

Mej clapped, "I am very impressed that you have made it this far, but the last 13 waves shall not be easy! I hope that you are prepared for the worst" A Yt-Mejkot came in with a screech, and charged at Ezril with two other Tok-Xil "This thing isn't that strong" he said parrying all it's moves.

Kai shot an arrow at a Tok-Xil, but suddenly, the Yt-Mejkot started chanting and a glowing ray came from the tips of his fingers. He touched the Tok-Xil, and it became cured! "Watch out! These Yt Mejkot aren't that strong, but they're good healers" Leto drew her bow, and the black arrow flew across the battlefield like a bomb.

With extreme percision, it made it's way to the Yt-Mejkot's throat, silencing it for good. It fell to the ground in an agonizing face of sheer pain. The other two Tok-Xil, knew that they were no match. Kai drew his dragon daggers and jumped onto their heads, ripping away their bodies until all that was left was a pile of rocks.

"Dang, the Yt-Mejkot's and Tz-Kih are really a pain" said Ezril, jumping back from the fiery bats. Kai agreed, "Although they're weak, they are extremely annoying" "Screech!" he screamed, and suddenly the bats fell to the ground dead. Ezril looked at Disaster, his Devil's Arm, "I wonder..."

"Disaster, uh, do something!" shouted Ezril, but the sword stayed put. "Destroy? Pillage? Plunder? Racksack? Obliviate? Incinerate? Intoxicate?" none of them worked. Ezril was down to his knees thinking up ideas, "Dang, why won't this work!" then he remembered Tilus.

"Ahh, I see, you're Devil's Arms power isn't always an attack" He lifted the sword with two hands and raised it above his head, "Disaster, show your true power!" Suddenly, a blinding light filled the sky, and engulfed back into Disaster. The ground shook, until finally fire shot out from the ground into the sky.

The fire cooked the Tz-harrs, but left Ezril and his group safe. "What the heck?" he swung his sword around, and a flame emited from the sword, not only attack, but also a defence! The flame didn't burn Ezril, Leto, or Kai, but scorched his enemies. He smiled, "Now that, is a sweet weapon"

Kai grinned back, wiping the sweat off the front of his face. "Well done! You have completed Wave 61! You may have a break before we continue" said Mej. Leto let out a sigh, "Well, we at least have a bit of time to get ourselves back together and think up a plan to win" Kai nodded, "Well, I'm still thinking about one, but it's no good"

Over the next two hours, the group patiently waited for the onslaught of Tz-harrs to come in, but none came. "Well, here's what we should do" said Kai finally. "Kill the Yt-Mejokt, then the Tok-Xil. After, range the Tz-Kek and Tz-Kih. As long as no new creatures come in, we should be able to win"

Leto smiled, "Well, now that Ezril knows a new power, it might just be a lot easier for us to win" Ezril grinned back, "I don't even know how I got it, I just kind of asked for it's power, and it came to me" Kai pat him on the back, "And that's life for ya, you never know what's going to hit you next" The cavern door on the other side suddenly creaked opened, letting an aray of Tz-harrs out.

Three monsterously large creatures came in, all called Ket-Zek. "What are these? Is there anything else?" Kai drew his weapon, "Guess not, but these guys look tough" suddenly, a magical wave hit Kai, sending him flying into a wall. "Kai! Are you ok?!" said Leto. Kai slowly picked himself out of the dust, "What does it look like?!"
"These guys use magic, turn Protect from Magic on" said Ezril cautiously. "Watch out, they also use melee" said Kai, rubbing his wounds. A Ket-Zek raised it's legs in front of Ezril, who jumped out of the way. "Fire! Scorch? Burn?!" Ezril lost his word again. "Dangit what do I have to say!"
Suddenly, a huge fireball came straight at an unknowning Kai. "Watch out for that flame!" screamed Ezril, and without knowing it, Ezril shot out an extremely powerful fire strike onto the Ket-Zek. It wobbled, and finally fell to the ground silent. Ezril looked at his weapon, "Woah! Jeez, this thing is tough!" Leto sighed, "Don't get so cocky, we still have to-"
She continued shooting at the Ket-Zek, but even with Black Arrows, she couldn't kill it. Suddenly, a jolt went through Leto, her face went pale and her eyes opened. Her legs and arms went stiff, and she felt like she couldn't breath, "W...what is this?!" An immense amount of power started to flow through her.
The Ket-Zek's were too busy with Ezril and Kai, but then, Leto came rushing in, "Seal of Zaros!" she screamed. "What the heck?!" said Ezril, still panting from the fight. She ran in a circle around the Ket-Zek's, reading from a book, until finally, she stopped. The Ket-Zek's approached her, only to hear her final words, "Die"
In a sudden flash, the Ket-Zek's bodies were torn to limbs. Their cries covered the cave, as the shrieked from the pain the had to endure. The flesh and muscle was being torn away from the skeletal system, until nothing but blood and bones were left. Leto smiled, and fell to the floor unconcious.
