Sorry guys my life is becoming nothing more than one complication after another, so I had to stop for a little while. I have zero internet access in my room so I will write when I can get away to another computer.
Also Toby, yes, the Mantle's true power will lay dormant until Zaros is dead.

The scene seemed to have spiraled into chaos. Azzanadra's arms flew, blocking the maelstrom of strikes from Damis. Then, Azzanadra felt the energy approaching from behind him. He blocked one more sword thrust and then ducked down and to the side, letting the beam of ice blast right by his crouched form. The ice nearly caught Damis, who evaded it by an even slimmer margin than Azzanadra had.
"You idiot!" barked Damis. "I nearly had him!"
Azzanadra had rolled down the side of the pyramid, away from the attackers. He regained his footing further down, several yards above the base. His steel scimitar was gripped more firmly now. The battle was going from bad to worse.
A dozen more bats fell from the pyramid's apex, diving toward Azzanadra like a volley of arrows, ready to receive blood. Dessous and Fareed still patrolled the top of the pyramid, ready to send projectiles from above. Meanwhile, Damis and Kamil were combining their close and long range styles down below. The attack was well coordinated, and it would be deadly for Azzanadra if he didn't think of something fast. He would be hurled down in that shaft and left for who knows what fate.
The shaft...
An idea entered Azzanadra's powerful mind. It was a long shot, but just maybe this attack had neglected to plan for this one little situation. One simple strategy that would end their hopes of trapping him.
Just then, as Azzanadra scurried over another face of the pyramid, he heard Kamil's voice in a deep, ancient chant. He spun and saw that Kamil was standing on top of one of the four obelisks that surrounded the pyramid. As he finished his incantation, the obelisk glowed blue beneath him.
A huge burst of energy left the obelisk. It came in the form of a wave of ice, which spread out and covered the side of the pyramid, leaving nothing for the trapped Mahjarrat within except a white storm all around and the ice daggers Kamil had hidden in with the snow.

Azzanadra sent bursts of electricity wildly into the abyss of snow and ice, which helped to thin the attack greatly. Finally, with the help of his lightning, Azzanadra pushed his way out of the side of the ice and around the pyramid. Without missing a beat, he reoriented himself and rushed up the sloping sides of the pyramid. His destination was the very top, where surely two of the traitors waited for him.
Azzanadra leaped over the side onto the platform. Fareed was the first to spy him, but he barely got a cry out before Azzanadra blasted him with another current of electricity. Dessous turned and fired off several more bats, but Azzanadra sidestepped and made his way across to the entrance of the shaft. He hurled another bolt, this time hitting Dessous and sending him to the edge of the platform. Azzanadra finally made it to the gap in the floor.
Kamil came and stood on one end of the platform, while Damis took his place on the last. Now Azzanadra was surrounded, one of his captors on each side. This had better work.
"What's he doing?" called out Kamil, amused. "Is the mighty Azzanadra finally going to surrender and go in himself?"
Azzanadra gave a small grin. "Not even close, Kamil." And with that, Azzanadra pushed the heavy lid shut, sealing off the shaft.
As soon as he did it, Azzanadra could feel the ancient magic pulsing through the pyramid, locking its chambers off from the outside world.
The four around him said nothing, though Azzanadra could see how angry they were. It seemed unfair that all their planning, all their trechery was undone by such a simple act. "Now," said Azzanadra. "You have no option to trap me. You will have to kill me, but I don't think that such a thing is possible for you. I will pick you off one by one, and each time your odds will plummet. I believe your only logical option would be to flee."
There was silence for a moment more, and then Dessous smiled. "We must fight on. Our master was prepared for this."

"Is that right?" asked Azzanadra, spinning to constantly observe the four.
"You didn't think our Master would leave that to chance, did you?" laughed Kamil. "He is miles ahead of even you, Azzanadra!"
While Zamorak may have been way ahead of Azzanadra, these four definitely were not. This was evident by how they were caught off guard by Azzanadra's attack. In the blink of an eye, Azzanadra sent several thousand volts pulsing into Damis, causing him to tumble over the side. Then, he charged to his right, forming a deadly blade of electricity around his arm, and charging at Fareed. Fareed was stunned, and he threw up his arm in haste and shot off a fireball. Azzanadra dodged and lashed out with his blade. The lightning clipped Fareed on the shoulder, and the stone platform was suddenly bathed in blood.
Azzanadra cursed that his blow was only glancing, and then he rolled aside to avoid an oncoming ice attack. Kamil jumped into the fray, followed closely by Dessous.
The air was filled to the brim with projectiles. Bats, fire, and ice all swarmed toward Azzanadra. Azzanadra gave a ferocious roar, and then he raised a huge electrical field around him, repelling everything.
The shield bought Azzanadra a moment, and he used it well. He fired three bolts in retaliation, two of which met their mark. Dessous had sprouted large bat wings and had taken flight, but Fareed and Kamil crumpled to the ground from his attack.
Azzanadra dashed across the platform, pulling his scimitar back out. Two foes were there before him, just two cuts and he was halfway out of this battle.
He was almost there when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He stopped, just in time to dodge a bat that came flying by. Then, Dessous landed between Azzanadra and his fallen comrades, firing more missiles.
Azzanadra leapt aside, and then he rolled back as Dessous shifted his attack. He finally came to rest on the far side, opposite his three enemies.
