Azzanadra was stunned at how fast the events had spiraled out of control. Here he was, out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by foes. Had they taken Enakhra as well? Or was she one of them? Was Yrota in on it? He felt as though no one could be trusted.
Then, suddenly, everything clicked. He was out in the middle of nowhere; out of the way. Zaros was stripped of his most loyal vassal. Where only moments before there had been nothing but void, he saw the pieces shift into place. The entire scheme was laid out before him, and he was blown away by its brilliance and its sheer audacity. But to put all this in place would take a powerful hand...And Azzanadra's heart fell.
"Zamorak," whispered Azzanadra as easily as if he had always expected it.
"Finally," retorted Dessous. "He's the Master. He is our champion of the Mahjarrat, the one that understands our heritage. And he will be our god!"
This final blow rocked Azzanadra to his core. Zamorak was like a brother to Zaros. And the General was going to betray him.
Azzanadra's face darkened. "Well, it seems my way forward is set."
Kamil gave a quizzical look, which was shared by his teammates. "And what would that be?"
"I have to defeat you all and get back to Senntisten before Zamorak makes his move."
Kamil burst out laughing. "It's far too late for that! Your Empire will fall by the end of the day tomorrow, and it is impossible for you to get back by then."
"I have to try!" Azzanadra roared. He was wild. His friends were in a danger they did not expect. "Just try and shove me into this pyramid; I'll break out. You can't hold me here."
"Not likely," Kamil replied. "This pyramid has been...uh, renovated since King Set was laid in its passages. It has been laced with some ancient magic. Once we get you in there, you will never get out."
"Then you won't get me in!" Azzanadra bellowed. His roar was coupled with a shout from behind him. He spun to see Damis coming back toward him.

Damis launched a kick at Azzanadra, who dodged, letting his foe's leg land harmlessly at his side. Azzanadra then picked up Damis by the leg and threw him backwards toward the hatch.
"No!" yelled Kamil, understanding Azzanadra's new strategy.
Damis took one bounce and hit the open hatch door, which caused him to fall into the gap. However, he caught his hand on the rim of the chasm, preventing himself from falling into the pyramid.
Azzanadra had no time to continue trying to force Damis into the shaft, for he had to fend off attacks from the three others. In an instant, ice and fire flooded the platform around him. Azzanadra jumped out of the way, off onto one of the sloping faces of the pyramid. Above him, he saw a group of four shadowy bats emerge from the smoke and zero in on his position. They shot out of the sky, dive bombing in formation.
Azzanadra picked two of them off with a couple of well-aimed lightning bolts, and then he leapt aside to dodge the remaining pair. They scraped the stone as they passed, scarring the pyramid's face. Azzanadra fired two more bolts, doing away with the threat.
By this time, Fareed and Kamil had realized where he had gone. He saw Fareed's head appear over the side, and it was followed closely by a torrent of fire. Azzanadra jumped aside just in time as the flames scorched the pyramid beneath him.
Kamil, however, had joined Azzanadra on the side of the pyramid. He ran down the corner of the structure, firing ice barrages sideways at the Mahjarrat.
Azzanadra sent waves of electricity back, disintegrating the ice. He barely had time to react before Damis reappeared, his black blade bared to strike. Azzanadra pulled his steel scimitar from his belt and responded in kind. The swords clashed, and Azzanadra soon became aware how adept in swordplay Damis was. He fired off barrages that Azzanadra saved sometimes by the tip of his sword. The soldier attacking swiftly and with conviction, wearing down Azzanadra's defenses.

*whistle* That's some good fight scenes... hopefully the one between Zamorak and Zaros is better :D
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Zaros in game was called the Empty Lord along the same reasons - one that theoretically has everything yet also has nothing at the same time... makes you think eh.

Good work and keep it coming :D
