Chapter 32: The Darkness of the Storm (Super Duper Chapter Changer!!)

After a massacre of Bielzenians. Dante and Spero saw a figure of a man from the tip-top of a chapel. Dante and Spero immediately knew who it was. "Void!!" Dante shouted. After Dante shouted out his name, the figure disappeared. Suddenly, Vyrewatch vampyres arrive on the scene. They all smile as their eyes stare down humans.

"Look at all those humans." one of them said. "It's one giant feast. And it's all for us." another one also said. Suddenly, a giant rock falls from the sky and crushes the Vyrewatch vampyres. Everyone's eyes were widened. "Is this really the work of Void?" Roy asked. "No doubt, Void is here." Spero replied. "C'mon. Let's keep going."

After that word, everyone continued following Dante. There was a giant door, covered with roots. Once they reach a giant door, Dante plants his hand on the door. Green energy traveled from Dante's hand to all over the door. All the roots on the door slowly burn into ashes. The door disappears and reveals a path of stairs heading down.

The group entered the temple, but before Dante and Spero could enter, the door slams shut. Roy, Anna, Julie, Velator, and Deus look back. "What the!?" Roy said. Dante looks behind him and saw Void. "I should have expected this." Dante mumbled. He looks back at the door. "Go! Find the Godswords. Me and Spero will handle this."

"But...!" Anna shouted. "Just go!" Spero shouted back. Roy and the others race down the stairs after that. Dante and Spero draw their weapons. They prepare themselves for a battle. Void's glided armour shines in the sun. He draws his blade, the Key to Oblivion.

"I have waited for this day to come." Void said. "To finally purify the ghosts of the past."

"Purify? The only person who needs to be purified is you." Spero replied.

"No. I once believe that Saradomin, Armadyl, and all the other 'pure' gods were fighting to free the world from corruption. But one day, my eyes were opened to the truth. The gods I believed were fighting to purge the world of evil were truly nothing more but hypocrites. They showed forgiveness upon the Zamorakians, the monsters that took so many lives. And look at what has become of this world! All because of Saradomin!!"

"You know Voi- no...Mercutio. He only showed forgiveness on the Zamorakians to stop the war, stop the killing." Dante replied.

"But he is to blame for all those lives that were killed to go unavenged. He completely forsake all the people who believed in his faith and died for him." Void clenched his fist. "I was almost one of them. But then, I realized that I have a REAL purpose in life; I am to purge the corrupted gods from the world and clean the world until it is pure once again."

"If you feel that way. And if we must fight. So be it."

Back with the other group. They reached the chamber of where the Godswords were kept. Roy smiled. "Wow! So, these are the Godswords." Roy said. "Wow! You're actually interested in something!" Cassius replied. Roy growled after Cassius' comment.

"So, Cassius. Would you happen to be armed with the knowledge to the requirements to wield the Godswords?" Deus asked.

"Yeah, Mister Bookworm-who-thinks-he's-a-hotshot. What do you know?"

"Well, luckily for you Roy, you won't understand a single thing I'm about to say."

Roy blushes. "H-hey!"

"Where do I begin? Oh, yes. The Bandos Godsword. To gain the favor of Bandos. One must believe that war and fighting is the only thing that can win. If one believes in battle, war, sheer chaos, then surely Bandos will join you in your conquest."

"I'll take that." Deus stated.

Cassius walks over to the next Godsword, Saradomin Godsword. "This is Saradomin's Godsword. In order for Saradomin to offer his power to you, you must believe in his faiths. You must believe that order is the only way to free the world from all it's gray. You must believe in his motto: Strength Through Wisdom. Surely Saradomin will lead his power."

"I'll use that." Anna volunteered.

Cassius walks over to the next Godsword, Armadyl Godsword. "This is Armadyl's Godsword. In order to pass Armadyl's judgment, you must believe in Justice and Purity. This sword is believed to be the strongest of the four Godswords. So, the ability of control is a must."

"Mine! Mine! Mine!" Roy said.

Cassius walks over to the last one, Zamorak Godsword. "This is the last but most dangerous of all Godswords. Harvesting it's power will prove to be a challenge. In order to do such, one must believe in bloodshed, chaos, war, battle, and sheer evil. You must believe in the power of fear, to intimidate your enemy until they are frozen in fear. If you are unable to control his power, you will be consumed." Cassius crossed his arms. "I'll use this sword." Cassius grabs a bow and throws it to Julie. She catches it.

"That would be Vipin the Legendary Ranger's bow. It's a whole lot stronger than your Seercull bow."

"Thank you." she thanked.

"We need to hurry back to Dante and Spero. Now." Deus stated.

"Good idea." Anna replied.

After that word, they hasted up the stairs with the Godswords in their hands. Once they reach the top, they realized the door is still shut. "Dammit.." Deus said. Roy plants his hand on the door, but nothing happened. However, when Deus accidentally did. The door opened. "Well, that was strange." Roy mumbled.

Dante was floating in the air, being choked, by Void's psychic ability. Void looks over at the others and throws Dante away. Dante hits a wall, back first. Roy points Armadyl's Godsword at Void. "It's over Void! Surrender!" Roy shouted.

"You best watch yourself." Void replied. Roy raises an eyebrow.

Roy looks behind him and noticed that Anna and Cassius weren't there. Roy shuffled his head left and right, looking for the two. "Anna! Cassius!" he shouted. Cassius suddenly appeared to the right. Cassius had Anna in a chokehold with his Dragon two-handed Sword by her throat. Everyone stared with widened eyes.

Roy clenched his hand and his facial expression changes to angry. "Cassius!! You traitor!!" he shouted.

"Who ever said i joined you to begin with?" Cassius replied. "Hand over all the Godswords to me, and I promise she won't have a single scratch."

"Let her go!!"

"Do you wish for her death? Why let such a bargaining chip go to waste?"

"Grr.."

"Are you going to give the Godswords to me? Or are you going to watch her die?"

"How about just taking my Godsword?"

"Very well. That is the strongest afterall." Roy throws the Armadyl Godsword over to Cassius and Cassius lets go of Anna. However, right after he does, he uses the Zamorak Godsword's Ice Cleave and freezes Anna in place. Roy's eyes widened as he hasted over.

"Sorry, you brought this on yourself." Cassius said. Roy embraces Anna right before they both get stabbed.

Anna'a eyes widened as blood pours out of her mouth. Roy looks at Anna with an expression of sadness and shock. He stares into Anna's eyes, which had begun to fade. Cassius pulls out his sword and picked both the Armadyl Godsword and Saradomin Godsword. Anna slipped out of Roy's arms and fell to the ground.

Roy fell to his knees with tears flowing down his cheeks. His hands began to shake in a state of disbelief. Roy began shaking Anna and continued to shouted her name off the top of his lungs. Roy looked up at Cassius who stared Roy down with an expressionless face. "Forgive me." he mumbled to Roy. After those words, Cassius disappeared.

Roy looked back down at Anna, who's skin began to go white. "...I was..unable...to...protect you..." he mumbled. "I...loved you...Anna..." The others looked on in sadness.

"...You weren't suppose to die before me..."
