Chapter 2: Enter the Port Sarim Base

During the afternoon, in Roy and Anna's room. Roy had finally opened his eyes to greet the day. He sat up from his bed and yawned really loudly. Anna was in the room at the time. Roy looked over at Anna and waves his left hand. "Good morning Roy." she greeted. There was a knock on the door, Roy got up from his bed and walked to the door. He twisted the doorknob and opened the door. It was Cassius.

"And what does tall-dark-and-gruesome want?" Roy wondered.

"It's 12:00 PM you know." replied Cassius.

"So?"

"The mission began at 9:00 AM; you've been keeping Deus waiting."

"Aw man! Why didn't you tell me!?" Roy began rushing to get his equipment ready.

"You're right. Why didn't I tell you?" Cassius turned away. "I'll meet you two at Deus' office, okay?" Cassius walked away after he spoke.

After about 15 minutes, the two arrived at Deus' office. Deus stood up from his chair and plants his left hand against the western wall. Roy and Anna looked on in confusion. Cassius just stood there with his arms crossed. A portal suddenly opened up where Deus' left hand was. Roy and Anna look on in amazement. "This portal will teleport you to a safe area on the outskirts Port Sarim. Good luck you three." Deus said.

The three walk into the portal. They appear right by the Air Altar. Cassius looked around. "Alright good -- we weren't caught." Cassius said, with a relieved voice. "Alright, you two. Don't do anything that will make the Black Knights suspect us alright?" Roy and Anna nodded their heads. The three made their way to Port Sarim. After 10 minutes, they arrived at the Port Sarim entrance. Two Black Knights blocked their way.

"Stop right there." The Black Knight commanded. Roy and Anna looked at the knights.

"Yes sir?" Roy asked.

"Who are you?"

"We're traders sir." Anna replied.

"Traders? Do you have three-thousand gold pieces to enter?"

"Three-thousand gold pieces!? That's a sca-"

Cassius throws a bag of gold at one of the Black Knights. "Here."

The Black Knights count the gold. "Alright -- enter."

The knights move out of the way. The three enter but Cassius gives one of the knights a mean glare after entering. They look around and see people looked rather sad and angry. There seemed to be a lot of knights around. They begin to hear a conversation about something between two knights. They hide behind a wall and eavesdrop.

"So, did you hear about the new assassin?" The knight on the left asked the other knight.

"I've seen him. Let me tell you something, he's the strangest thing I've ever seen." the other knight replied.

"How strange is strange?"

"He's got these really large teeth and he talks really strange. Also, he likes to laugh alot. He's just one freaky guy -- strangest Elf I've ever seen."

"Wait? An Elf? Since when did Lord Angelo like Elves? I thought he hated them."

"I thought so too but Lord Angelo doesn't seem that angry about an Elf being in his army."

"That's odd."

Roy looked at the Cassius and Anna. "Did you hear that?" he silently whispered. "Yeah, he's hiring an assassin." Anna whispered back. Roy looks behind the two and saw a Black Knight was staring at them. "Ummm...hi?" The other two look behind them and saw who Roy was greeting. Anna waved to the knight. "Yeah...hi....". The knight shook his head side to side. Roy and Anna got a confused look on their face.

"You three. Would you like to get into the castle?" the Black Knight asked.

"Huh? You're not going to kill us?" Roy questioned.

"No -- now come on before we get caught."

"Okay?"

The three followed the man. Cassius looked at the knight. Roy walked beside the knight. "So, who are you?" Roy asked, curious.

"That's an interesting question." Cassius mumbled.

"I unfortunately can't tell you Roy Elamlife."

Anna and Roy's eyes widened. "W-wait! You know my name!?"

"Yes -- and I know your intentions."

"Well, answer this for me. Why can't you tell us who you are?" Cassius asked.

"I can't tell you at this time."

"Why? What's so special about you?"

"You'll understand soon."

"Going to stay secretive huh? Fine by me."

Anna walks over near the man. "So, can you tell us why there so many guards?" she asked. "It seems a lot more than they need."

"Because he is here -- Commander Angelo Lysimachus."

"Wait! On our first mission -- we have to encounter royal blood!?"

Cassius moved his eyes away from the group and looked to his right. "It's about time." he mumbled, silently to himself.

"This is bad. Look, even Roy is upset."

"I wasn't saying I was upset about encountering Angelo -- it's a dream come true!"

Cassius looked back at Roy and Anna. "Listen to me you two." Anna and Roy looked behind them and listened to Cassius. "This is THE Angelo Lysimachus -- I've heard many things of what he can do. Do not make a single suspicious movement, or we'll get caught, understand?" "Yeah, yeah sure." Roy said, barely listening to Cassius' warning. "Understood." Anna replied.

The four arrive at the castle. It was a large, dark gray castle. A very muscular guard blocked the way to the castle. As the four walked near the entrance. The guard blocks the entrance with his Black 2h Sword. "State your business. Have you been given permission by Lord Angelo to enter?" the guard questioned. "Who are these young people behind you!?"

The man with the three White Knights shows a pass, a large, black pendant with Zamorak's symbol on it. "Lord Angelo stated that I should bring special guests -- so I did." The guard looked at the pendant, he checks to see if it is fake. The guard gives the pendant back to the man. "Who are you?" The man shows a Lieutenant badge.

"I am Lieutenant Sigmund. I was killed during the attack on Falador but I was brought back to life by the demonic power and these three are the ones who nurse me back to health." the guard's eyes light up. "L-Lieutenant Sigmund! Is it really you!? Oh wow, Lord Angelo will be most excited to see you again, sir." The guard moves out of the way.

The four pass into the castle. They enter a large room with many Black Knights. They stand in the middle of the crowd. A man in a black hood walks into the middle of the room. "All bow before the great and might King of the Kinshra, Lord Angelo Lysimachus!" the man shouted. Everyone bows besides Roy. "Bow, you idiot." Cassius shouted silently. "Right." Roy said as he bowed.

Angelo and another man walk into the room, Angelo looked at the crowd of Black Knights with his crimson red eyes. He stood where the hooded man stood before. "You may rise." Angelo commanded. Everyone rises. "Today I've come to Port Sarim with two intentions in mind. One: to make Heinreich Kvetch become a Black Knight assassin. And two: To plan our next attack on Draynor Village." Angelo said. After an hour, Angelo approached the man with Roy, Anna, and Cassius.

"Lieutenant Sigmund -- I never would have thought you were still alive." Angelo said.

The man looked at Angelo. "Well sir. I never would have thought I would have seen you again." he replied.

Angelo looked at the other three. "And who might these three be?"

"I'm...uhhh...Alexander." Roy said.

"I'm Amy." Anna said.

Angelo looked at Cassius, he looked at him and saw Cassius glaring at him. "And who might you be?"

"I don't see the need of introducing myself to a corrupt madman." Cassius replied.

"What are you doing!?"

Angelo smirks. "My, my -- don't we have quite the mouth?" he said. "Guards, arrest these impersonators."

Roy's eyes widen. "Huh? We're not impersonators!"

"Oh, you're not? So, example this for me -- why am I unable to sense a demonic presence from you?" Roy got a overwhelmed expression on his face. He slowly turned his head right, facing Anna. Angelo looked at Cassius and saw him giving a glare. Angelo looked at the older man, he pointed one of his demonic swords, Orfeo Glid, by the man's throat.

"Long time no see." the man said. Suddenly, the window to the castle is shattered, a young boy hops out from the shattered remains. All the knights look at the boy. The boy looked at the older man. "I finally caught up to you." the boy mumbled. The older man shuffles his eyes left and right several times. "I have no other choice," the man mumbled as he looked at the three. "Goodbye and may Guthix watch you." Roy looked at the man with widened eyes.

"W-wait a min-" but before Roy could finish his words, the man disappeared. Angelo put his demonic sword down. "So, he was one of them." he mumbled, silently.

The three White Knights were surrounded. Literally, three against one hundred! "Vell, vell, vell. Looks like you're in a tight situation...kekeke." Heinreich Kvetch said. Roy lets out a sarcastic giggle. Cassius closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and quickly opens his eyes again; revealing that his right eye was crimson red instead of blue. Cassius had a very violent and aggressive look on his face.

Angelo looks at Cassius and looks at his men. "Quickly switch to your demonic forms -- now!" Angelo commanded. Cassius smiles. Roy looked at Cassius with his eyes widened. He saw both of Cassius' eyes were crimson red. "C'mon you maggots! It's time to die!" Cassius shouted as he charged into the crowd of Black Knights.

I have to admit, this story is so far way funnier than TWIF 1 and 2. C'mon, its just plain funny, yet keeps to the storyline....I like it!

Wow, That chisel-sized tooth thing......I bet the tooth fairy adores him!

Man, thats one messed up castle - c'mon, giant brawls breaking out in the halls, Over-muscular guards at the front door, Childen smashing through windows! I can't wait till that thing's on forclosure!

Hmm, i'm tired of signing off with my name, from now on im signing off by chugging 3 pots of coffee!

Yeah, during The World in Flames 1-2 I was mainly focused on action and story telling alone because I didn't really care much about comedy value. But now on Rays that Shine, I'm trying to mix all three -- comedy, action, and story telling. Hopefully, I can maintain the change.

And yes, that castle is quite messed up.

P.S: No coffee chugging! O_o

EDIT: I hate these typing moods. There might be another chapter coming today or tomorrow. >_>
