Chapter 12: Planning the Divine Dusk Battle

Two weeks later, during the Week of the Divine, one day before the Divine Dusk. Deus and all the soldiers are in what is left of the mission briefing room. Deus looked at all the soldiers with low self-esteem written all over his face. Deus sighs with his eye closed. He opens his eye back up and looks at the knights.

"Soldiers. All I can really think of at this moment is a full head on attack. We'll begin the attack during the beginning of the Divine Dusk, it should give us enough time to stop Angelo." Deus said. Cassius stood up. "I've got a better idea." he said. Everyone looked at Cassius. Cassius uses his left index finger and points the direction of his plan.

"There is a hidden tunnel underneath the ground that leads straight into Angelo's room. He built this tunnel just in case something did happen. We'll use this tunnel as a way to sneak into the castle without fighting. We'll enter the tunnel on the outskirts of Falador." Everyone shook their heads in agreement. "Let's go!" Roy said.

After about 14 minutes, everyone got their things gathered and began the travel since they are unable to teleport due to Jacob no longer being in the castle. At Falador, Angelo looked out his window with his hands together behind him. He remained silent, merely thinking about what will happen tomorrow. Angelo looked up at the chandeliers that hung from his room's ceiling and saw Kvetch hanging.

"Kvetch." Angelo said. "What are you doing here?"

"The ritual is fully prepared." Kvetch replied.

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

"Very good. Be sure that our special prisoners are comfortable."

"Very well, Angelo." Kvetch fell back onto the ground and walked out Angelo's room door. Angelo turned back to his window and continued to stare outside. He closed his eyes. "Kyrie." he mumbled. The woman with the lesser demon mask appeared, she bowed. "Can you go to Catherby to see if those White Knights plan to use my hidden tunnel?"

Kyrie nods her head and disappears. At Catherby, it was a very misty day. The group passed through town, and were on the beach; about to enter the mountain. Cassius was leading, but he heard something. He looked over at the water and saw a splash. He stops the group.

He grabs his Yew Longbow, pulls an adamant arrow back, points the bow at where he saw the splash, and shoots the arrow. He didn't hear anything. "What's the matter?" Roy asked. "There is somebody watching us." Cassius answered. Cassius looked over at the group of Evergreen trees nearby but saw nothing.

He sighed. "Let's keep going."

"So, how much longer until we arrive at the tunnel?" Roy asked.

"What tunnel?"

"What do you mean 'What tunnel'? You know, the hidden tunnel to sneak into Angelo's room."

"I really do not know what you're talking about."

"C'mon! Don't tell me ya forgot!"

Cassius smacks his left hand against his forehead and leaves it there, annoyed that Roy exposed their plan. "You idiot! Do you not realize your idiotic head just exposed our plan to the spy!" he whispered.

"Spy? What spy?"

Cassius rubs his forehead with his left hand. "By far, the most idiotic living creature is right here."

"Huh?" Roy remembers what Cassius said about "somebody watching them". "Aw, man!" Roy slaps his head.

"Finally, reality slaps Roy in the face."

After a day of traveling. They arrive on the outskirts of Falador. Cassius had lead them to the tunnel's hole. "This is the way in." Cassius said. They entered the tunnel, it was rather quiet with no guards in sight. The cave got dark, Anna lit a small flame in her left hand to see everything.

Roy looks at Cassius and saw that he had a grin on his face with his eyes looking at something. Roy looks over at where Cassius was looking, he didn't see anything. In Cassius' vision, he sees a younger him when he was about the age of five. Younger Cassius is pushed to the ground by Angelo and two Black Knights.

He crawled away from the three looking frightened as tears fell down his eyes and his hands shook greatly, thoughts of him dying ran through his head. Angelo looks at his knights. "Do not kill him." he commanded. The knights look at Angelo in confusion. "But sir-" one of the knights said. "No. I want his time on this land to be filled with agony and pain."

Angelo takes one of his demonic swords and slashes his sword at Cassius' left eye. Cassius laid on the ground, crying in pain. The knights showed a form of dislike for hearing a child cry. Angelo however did not show one bit of dislike, no emotion nor expression whatsoever.

"For your crime of attempting escape, I will leave you with a scar so you may always remember your foolish mistake." Angelo looked at his knights. "You may do whatever you please to him, just as long as you do not kill him." Angelo turned his back, makes his demonic sword disappear, takes a few steps forward, and disappears.

Cassius saw another vision. This time it was him much older, close to the age he is at current time. Cassius took a few steps back in intimidation by the three Black Knights. Angelo suddenly appears before them. Cassius tries to punch Angelo with his right hand but Angelo grabs Cassius' right wrist and breaks it. Cassius growled in pain, Angelo throws Cassius back.

Cassius fell back first to the ground. Angelo looked at the knights. "You may finish him off. I have no further use for a failure." Angelo said. "But sir. Can he-" one of the knights tried to ask. "No. He has not used the power yet." After those words, Angelo disappears.

The knights giggled evilly. All their eyes change to the color red. One of the knights grab Cassius' left ankle seeing as he was trying to crawl away. "Where do ya think you're goin'? Hahaha.." The knight who had Cassius' ankle in hand began dragging him away. Cassius tried to reach for the ground but couldn't. He looks up and sees another him. The other him had red eyes and his arms were crossed.

"Truly pitiful." the other Cassius said. "Help!!" Cassius shouted. The other Cassius laughed a bit. "Let's see if you can handle me." The other Cassius disappears. Cassius began to growl a bit. Suddenly, Cassius' right eye changes to crimson red. Cassius grabs the ground with his left hand and stopped the guards in the tracks. They look over and see that his eyes were different colored.

Cassius turned over on his back and kicked the hand of the knight that had his ankle. Cassius' kick breaks the knight's hand, Cassius got to his feet. All the knights grab their weapons. Cassius smirked as he went after the knight who's hand was broke. At quick speed, Cassius appears behind the knight and grabs his head and snaps his neck.

The knight's body falls to the ground, Cassius grabs the Dragon 2h Sword that the knight was using. One of the knights swung his sword at Cassius. Cassius counters by jumping back and jumping on top of the knight. Cassius impales his sword into the knight's throat, blood shot out of his throat like a heavy rain. The last knight took several steps back in intimidation. Cassius looks at the knight with a evil smile. "I-I'm getting the hell outta here!" the knight yelled as he ran away.

Cassius finally snapped of the vision he had entered. Though, much of the noise around him was rather blurred. His eyes shuffled left and right. He began to hear Roy. "Hey, Cassius. Are you okay?" Roy asked. Cassius looked at Roy seeing that he seemed concerned. "Yeah, I'm fine." he replied. Roy looked away from Cassius and looked forward. "We're almost there...to Angelo." Roy said to himself.
