Hey, this is a fan who tracked this story down finally...after using his brain for the first time.

Jubelion I am writing a story which may include a recognition to your Champions...would that be alright? This is future and may have not direct contact.

Yours Truly...

OMG! Jube are you back for real? Man, I almost cried when you "left". Don't call me a freak, cause it'll just encourage me.

It good to see you back, if you are. You were, and still are, on of the best authors on this forum! Just remember... Star Wars is better. LotR had it's moments, but just doesn't have the edge.

Thank you, thank you. Yes, I'm back.

WHAT?! STAR WARS IS NOT BETTER THAN THE LORD OF THE RINGS! The Lord of the Rings CREATED that genre! It has such a vaster premise, history, and storyline! They have classes in college "Understanding Tolkien" not "Understanding Star Wars".

Blufrhg. :P

Star Wars freaking knocks LOTR off the map. The games are better, the books are better, the toys are better, the fan base is larger, the Star Wars trilogy was better than the LOTR trilogy, PLUS I love it.

Besides, Luke would decapitate Frodo before his dumb midget head could even interpret what the pretty light was.

That aside, I'm so happy this is back. The third posting of ATOFC. Never though I'd see the day so soon.

Edit: LOTR couldn't have created the Sci-Fi genre. If anything it defined the Fantasy genre.

Strangely, I can't remember anything to be nostalgic about. Must be because I haven't eaten yet.

Toys and games I agree with you, but the books and movies were so better.

Wait. How can the 2 be compared? One is about a totally made-up world in medieval settings, the other one is in a totally made up-world in futuristic settings. They can't be compared.

Actually... You're wrong. Future kicks old school in the a<c>ss. Plus, they semi-old school with lightsabers. Pretty much swords, just made of white hot light that can pretty much destroy anything.

Now a question Jube. Why'd you come back? There better be an answer after I get back from work...

No, you're wrong, so very wrong. The Star Wars trilogy is the highest grossing title ever to grace the box office. There are three LOTR books. There are probably close to a hundred Star Wars books. By default, Star Wars is better than LOTR. So there.

Amount of books or money doesn't mean anything. Lord of the Rings BOOKS were made first. You don't make sleazy books out of good books. Star Wars was a cliche-ridden trilogy of MOVIES. That is why there are books about it.

Did Star Wars win any Oscars? No. LoTR all together won over 20 Oscars for the trilogy. Star Wars? 0. LoTR was one of the highest-grossing books AND movies that won more awards than pretty much anything else.

Ha.

I'm back because I can't leave here. However, there will be some times when I will be gone for a long time inexplicably, but I'll most likely be back.

Ha, sleazy? You're calling the Star Wars books sleazy?!

And the movies cliched? There wasn't anything to be a cliche about! They were the first of their kind! And without them, the technology would never have been laid down for the LOTR special effects, so those movies would've been terrible!

It's all about the money! This is corporate Ameroca, where the bigger the profit margin, the more your influence! The Star Wars franchise has the most money out of any cinematic series ever, with a bigger fanbase, one so large that the most dedicated of the lot was incorporated into SW: Battlefront II!

And Oscars? Who watches the Academy Awards? That's so the pompous louts in Hollywood feel good about themselves. Truly good actors take pride in a job well done, and don't need a probably plastic trophy coated in yellow paint to tell them that.

There's only way to settle this.

*takes off glove and smacks Jube with it*

I challenge you to a duel, sir!
