Very great story and great use of the light puzzles! The only issue I had was that the "Dark Lord" stuff is left wide open as a cliffhanger. Besides that everything else seems to be rapped up smoothly in this quest and I quite enjoyed reading it! The rewards are fantastic and the way you led up to everything worked perfectly. You definitely have my support!

Very impressive work you have here! I myself have thought to myself what an elf finale would look like, and I must say, every possible path goes down many of the paths you chose. (So I think it's inevitable that the real in-game MEP3 will involve many elements of this quest, simply because many elements are implied by past installments, such as Tyras not really being dead and Seren returning and the mourners stranglehold on the West city ending and whatnot.)

That being said, any rendition of the tale must have certain liberties taken by the author, and I especially like some of them -- killing Tyras for real (oh the irony), that Hining was Tyras, using Mobilising Armies (but I DO hope they rework the game mechanics of it if they ever do this), the Seren and light puzzles, and keeping Iowerth alive were all things I thought were nice touches.

I think the requirements are just fine. In fact, in light of Divination, it would seem a nice quest to add something Divination-related, since we are dealing with a goddess, the anima mundi and indirect ties to Guthix. Seems like a nice fit. But yeah, especially the 85 Thieving that people have complained about, I think it's fine. It's a natural requirement using something already in-game, not just requiring arbitrary levels to do something (like many quests do, like requiring 75 mining to clear some random clearing).

I also think the rewards are nice. I was half-expecting more crystal armor (the shield has always seemed a bit lonely to me), but still I like the rewards offered.

Two complaints: I feel like since you did bring up Camelot, perhaps it should've been involved somehow. To that end, I think Lathas's part in the story (that was so important early in the series) seemed to be almost a cameo.

Along the same lines, I felt like the end-game plot of the Death Guard, Lathas, and Iowerth was sidestepped I felt. No further illumination was given on what they were doing and "bring back the Dark Lord" seems so linear to me, such as stereotypical villain plot that could've used some elaboration. And as far as I'm aware, the identity of this "Dark Lord" has never been revealed -- you mentioned Zamorak in the quest, which has always been the deity of choice to associate with the storyline. However, given recent events in the 6th age and the fact that Zamorak is already back (see Lumbridge lol) makes him an unlikely choice in my eyes. My money is actually on an as-of-yet-unrevealed deity.

Don't get me wrong, I think this work is a masterpiece and extremely well done (and I do very much support!). But I do think the plans, backstory, and aims of the villains should've been explained better. For instance, who is their Dark Lord? Why do they want to bring him back? What will happen if they do? Why was the Temple of Light and the Death Altar crucial in that? Does the Underground Pass play and role (such as the witch Kardia)? Does Seren know of these plans, and if so, what does she think? Does she even know of this Dark Lord? Surely she knows of the Temple of Light and the Death Altar, so why didn't she explain the situation? I think it would've been very interesting to see the Death Guard actually make it inside the temple to the Death Altar.

But yeah, ultimately, great quest. Excellent job, and you have my blessing :)

Wow, these posts are piling up on me. And from two of my favorite forumers! I'll try to respond to both of you, but this stupid IOS7 makes my Internet crash here on my phone.
Zorgonite! Glad to see you took a look at my script! I'm glad you liked it! And you can ignore Soni: he wrote his own elf finale quest, and I checked it out. I told him honestly that I didn't like it (he said "I couldn't handle being wrong&quot ;) and I invited him to see mine here. Guess he didn't like it. Oh well. And since jagex confirmed that they will release both MEP3 and the elf tasks together, would you mind if I threw up a link to your elf task thread on my script's front page here?

And stretch, or should I say sTrEcH :P I'm glad you liked it so much! I'm glad SOMEBODY understood the 85 thieving requirement. Maybe I will throw a divination requirement on there somewhere, after the first div quest is out, of course. And yes, about your two problems...
The Camelot thing was definitely something I wanted to throw in. Unfortunately, rumor is jagex may be removing it for the same reason as they removed Romeo and Juliet. The dark lord subject is a bit tricky. Jagex said that the dark lord is currently a "popular god". So that leaves me with Zamorak, Zaros, and maybe Bandos. Zaros is the protagonist in his own series of quests: him being the dark lord here is a bit strange for those who use Ancient Curses. Bandos would be interesting, but the Elves warred with goblins and ogres. I don't imagine them defecting. Zamorak was the only possibility left, and I can't say I regret making him the dark lord. And if you didn't notice, Iorwerth is entirely insane at this point. From within his Crystal city, he may not have gotten word from Lumbridge yet. Another fun possibility was that the Iorwerth clan simply doesn't know who their dark lord is. Many cultures if people have different names for the same thing. So maybe Zamorakianism is to destroy so it will be stronger, but Dark Lord-ism is to conquer.
I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.
