"A storm? Well, we need to get all the clothes in the back, then, and board up the door!" Thessalia got up and went out to the front of the store.
"That's what I said!" Sonia ran out to help her protect the store from the oncoming wrath of the storm.
The rains began to fall as a simple sprinkle, but then they turned to mist, turned to rain, and then turned to a torrent of water, all in a minute. The winds were becoming nasty as trees bowed to its might. No one dared go out in this weather unless they wanted help flying east.
"Are you sure you should be conversing with a peasant?" A voice asked from the other side of the alley.
"I don't see how it could hurt." The other voice responded in apathy through the stormy weather.
"You, of all people, should know how dangerous it is to do that!" The first voice began to get angry, although there was a touch of worry in it as well.
"And you, of all people, should know how stupid it is to fool around with me. Go back to base. I have to tend to some private matters."
"Someday your actions are going to end up killing you, I swear it."
A hooded figure entered a secret door in the wall of the alley, while the other person, also hooded as well, began to chuckle, grab out a strange, green, glowing pen that had no ink at the end, but instead, a burning flame. The figure put it away, and watched the storm go by, water pelting its face and winds making the water possess a stinging quality.
"So. How long do you think this storm will last?" Thessalia asked as she heard the rain pelt the roof of the store. She was sitting on her bed, looking at the roof carefully.
"I don't know. But at least we get some time to ourselves while it's going on. We can... talk. For the first time in a while, we have time to talk that isn't part of our eating routines. We're free, for a while at least." Sonia was sitting on her own bed, closing her eyes and beginning to think about what they could talk about.
