"Not as big as I'd have thought, but still pretty large. You'll only need two thirds of the explosives you have, place them at the bases of each of the spires. They are load bearing supports, plant them there for maximum effect."
"Okay, but what do I do with the left over explosives?" I asked.
"Do as you wish, it may come in handy," he replied.
"Okay. Do me a favour, Josh. Go and check up on the others for me. Rose blacked out as I was transported here, I'd like to know she's okay."
"Consider it done." Josh's face disappeared and I placed the orb back into my pack.
I got to my feet and stretched. I was in high spirits considering the task at hand and my sombre mood the previous night. I once again started to make my way up the seemingly never ending steps.
After around an hour more of tiring climbing, I finally reached the last step. I looked about, trying to fathom my next move. An extremely large unnatural flat area was before me, with a path that lead up to a gigantic set of double doors, the entrance to Tuoni's castle. It stood in the middle of a wall that spanned for at least one thousand metres, and was flanked by two spires that Josh had mentioned earlier. I made my way to the spire that stood on the left of the doors.
I eventually reached it, and took the explosives out of my bag. I used my sword to cut a third of the block off, and I stuck it to base of the spire.
I withdrew the scrying orb from my backpack and made contact with Josh.
"How do I detonate these safely?" I asked.
"We can do it by remote magic, one of our finest mages is aware of what's happening and will detonate them on your command," he replied.
"Okay, sounds good."
"Whatever you do, don't let it get near a fire. Extreme heat will detonate them."
"You could of told me that earlier!" I exclaimed.
"Sorry, it's still in an experimental stage. We only found out by accident."
"Okay, I'm going to plant another block onto the other spire. Then I'll have to find Tuoni."
