I then heard a voice speak from my pocket, it was Lydia.
"Hey, you there?"
"What the heck is that?" Ikuna asked.
I pulled the orb from my pocket and looked at Lydia. "Hi," I managed.
"Hi, I see you've found Ikuna, good going. I'm just letting you know how Rose is. She's finally come round, but the nurses want us to leave her alone."
"Okay, that's good news. I've got some news of the bad kind though."
"Oh, what's wrong?"
"I've lost my runes, I'm gonna have to sail back."
"That will take weeks!" Lydia exclaimed.
"I know. Listen, I'm gonna go and finish this off, give the orb back to Josh. I need him to keep hold of it for the remote detonation."
"Fine. Hey Ikuna, do you want to speak to your father?"
Ikun*'* face lit up, then turned thoughtful. "No," she said, surprisingly.
I looked at her, and she gazed back.
"I'd rather save the reunion for when we meet in person. He'll understand."
"So be it," I replied, nodding.
I got to my feet and looked around. Another hallway, though this one was immense. A large ornate doorway crowned a set of steps that Gods would feel humble when climbing in the centre.
"His chamber is up there. Wanna go check?"
"I want you to go back downstairs, and outside. If I die, it's up to you to finish this place off. I have placed explosives onto the two spires. Take this orb, tap it, and ask a guy named Josh to detonate them. If you're lucky you won't get killed in the blast. Use one of the boats to sail home. Go, now, hopefully I'll see you soon."
I**na took the orb and looked at me in disbelief. Her dark eyes met mine, and I knew she understood.
"See you soon," she said as she turned away.
