Chapter 3: Shield the Enemy

After a massacre at East Ardougne, the Raven Reapers began to travel to a city they were allies with for the longest of time. During their travel, the dark gray cloud from above opened up with a Winter rain. As they march to their destination, their feet splash into puddles of rain water.

Back at the Holy Kingdom capital, it was raining cats and dogs. Sarah was looking out the window Janak use to all the time. Her thought began to think of her brother, who was at Falador on an important mission. She watched as the rain hits the dirt pathway. Joshua was still there, he was up at the balcony, looking straight up at the rain.

Rain hits his face, but it doesn't bother him. It was about forty-five degrees Fahrenheit outside, and Joshua wasn't wearing any coat or jacket, just his usual outfit. After a minute, the door to the inside of the house opened up. Joshua looks back and sees that it's Sarah. A slight grin grew on Joshua's face when he glanced at Sarah's face.

Sarah shuts the door behind her, and walked right beside Joshua. "You're going to catch a cold if you saw out here any longer." she remarked. "Aren't you cold?"

Joshua continued to look up at the sky. "I'm use to being cold, and it doesn't even affect me anymore. So, no I'm not." he replied.

Sarah remembers Janak saying the same thing. She looks at the bracelet Janak gave her. She sighed and looked back at Joshua. "Are you alright?"

Joshua looks at Sarah, then nodded his head. "I'm fine. But I just feel like something is going to happen."

"What do you feel is going to happen?"

"I need to go to Falador." he completely ignored Sarah's question. He grabs a tele-tab from his back pocket. "I appreciate all your hospitality. Rest assured, this won't be the last time we cross paths."

Sarah walks closer to Joshua. "You're leaving already?" her voice sounded slightly disappointed.

"Yes. There's something I need to do. Farewell."

Sarah grabs Joshua's right arm. "Stay."

Joshua looks back at Sarah. "You're only making this difficult for yourself."

"Just don't go."

"I have to. Innocent lives will be taken if I don't."

Sarah lets go. "But.."

"I apologize. But I must leave." Joshua lifts the tele-tab into the air. "Take care of yourself." he throws the tele-tab at the ground. The tab smashes on contact with the wooden floor, Joshua disappears into the ground. He leaves Sarah in a bowl of mixed feelings. Joshua appears in Falador, he sees that he was a tad too late as the city was under attack.

The innocent blood is washed away by the falling rain. He sees a Raven Reaper charging towards him. Joshua drew his blade and carried it reverse style. The assassin strikes his sword downward at Joshua. He jumps to avoid the attack. When the Raven Reaper had his back turned, Joshua impaled his sword into the spine of the assassin, like you would a dagger.

He pulls his sword out and the Raven Reaper fell to the dirt, lifeless. Joshua hasted into the castle, where he saw Visdin surrounded by many Raven Reapers. He pointed his blade at the crowd of Raven Reapers and began to shoot Fire Waves rapidly, burning the backs of the assassins that didn't notice Joshua. Visdin sees this happening, and looks behind him.

He sighed a sigh of relief. Within a matter of moments, all the assassins were on the floor with huge burn wounds. Joshua ran passed Visdin and into the castle walls. Visdin chased after. He caught up to Joshua, they ran side by side. "Thanks for saving my skin." thanked Visdin.

"I wasn't going to. But your sister is worried about you." replied the snow white haired man.

"My sister? You know Sarah?"

"Yes, I do."

"Who are you?" he sounded serious.

"Someone who's going to change your opinion of Salomon."

"So, you're an Assassin."

"No, Assassins are unjustly and must be dealt with. They're like Salomon, unlawful and iniquitous."

"If you feel that way, then I'm not your ally."

"Good, never said you were."

"So, why the hell did you save me!?"

Joshua sighed. "We're just going around in circles with your questions." Joshua looks back in-front of him. "For your sister's sake, I don't want her to suffer anymore." They continued to run deeper and deeper into the castle, until they finally reach the final floor. In Anibal's room, they saw Raven and a very tall man with black angel wings. Visdin's eye widened, while Joshua didn't express any change.

Abaddon had Anibal in his grasp. He looks back at the two. "It seems we have some guests." he said.

"You're Abaddon..!" Visdin replied.

"Yes, I am."

Joshua grit his teeth in frustration. "You're the true sinner among them. You've caused too much harm, and you must die for it." he charged at Abaddon as fast as he could.

"No! You fool!" shouted Visdin.

Abaddon laughed a bit. He threw his spare hand out in-front of him. Several white stone rocks rise from the ground and are hurled Joshua's way. Joshua swings his sword at the rocks and breaks them into bits. He got closer and closer to Abaddon. "Learn your place, boy." mumbled Abaddon. Joshua suddenly wasn't able to move.

An incredibly strong force of wind suddenly comes in and blows Joshua off his feet. He is carried in the air like being carried by a wave in the water, only much faster. In 1.5 seconds after first being lifted, Joshua's back slams into the white stone wall of the room incredibly hard. His eyes widened as a strong surge of pain pushes through his body.

He fell to his knees as he began to cough out blood. Abaddon glances at Joshua, and watches him suffer. Abaddon then returns his eyes on Visdin. "Would you like you attempt something reckless, Visdin Wolfsbane?" asked Abaddon. Visdin kept his cool, and remained in his stance. Abaddon returned his focus upon Anibal.

"Release me at once, you inferior excuse for a god! Or Ba'al will destroy you!" Anibal threatened. Abaddon giggled a bit. "You mortals amuse me. But I am afraid to say that Ba'al will not make it today." replied Abaddon. Suddenly, the Crimson Reaper appeared right in-front of Raven. He grabs Raven by the throat and lifts him into the air with his right arm.

His left arm, which was cut off by Janak, was nothing more but demonic aura wrapped in long, white bandages to keep the aura from disappearing. Visdin's eye widened when Ba'al showed up.

Abaddon looks at Ba'al. "You must be the famous Crimson Reaper Ba'al Saif-Al-Din." said Abaddon.

"Names mean nothing." replied Ba'al. "If you want him to live, let go of the innocent."

Anibal's eyes lit up. "By all the gods! He did come to save me!" he commented with a big grin on his face.

"Perhaps you might know where the God's Blood Elixir is located."

The Crimson Reaper didn't reply, he just continued to stare at Abaddon with his emotionless crimson red eyes. Joshua got back to his feet and saw what was happening. "You'll never find the elixir, Abaddon." he stated.

"On the contrary, I know exactly where it may be hidden." Abaddon drops Anibal and disappears, and re appears right in-front of Ba'al. Abaddon grabs him by the forehead and lifts him slightly into the air. Joshua charged at Abaddon. He swings his Oubliée Rêver at Abaddon, but Raven jumps in the way and blocks with his sword.

The Crimson Reaper impales both his Dragon Claws into Abaddon's body. The god looks at Ba'al, then grew a grin. "I am sorry, but your mortal weapons have no effect." stated Abaddon. Visdin didn't do anything at all, he stood there as he believed that he shouldn't help his enemy. Abaddon looks at Ba'al with an odd look. He throws Ba'al to the ground.

"How strange. I am unable to absorb his mind." mumbled Abaddon. The Crimson Reaper got to his feet and readied his claws. The claws began to glow red, he charges back at Abaddon. He goes for a slash, but Abaddon grabbed the attacking arm. The angel then impales the bottom end of the Scythe of Verità, which had a sharp blade, into Ba'al 's gut.

Abaddon lifts his scythe up with Ba'al still impaled. Abaddon then throws Ba'al towards a large window. He does crash through, but he grabs hold of the ledge of the window. He jumps right back into the room and readied himself again.

Abaddon looks at Ba'al and sighed. "You are persistent, and it is annoying." he said to Ba'al.

Anibal got to his feet. He looks at Ba'al. "Kill him Ba'al! I know you can!" cheered Anibal

Ba'al looks at Abaddon. "You are not going to find the God's Blood Elixir, Abaddon." mumbled Ba'al.

"But I will. I know the answer lays within your head, but I am unable to absorb it. Do you understand how frustrating that is?"

"I don't care about your problems."

"So, this is how my replacement acted? With no manners? My, you mortals have become so barbarous."

"Hmph." The two charge at each other, and collide. Falador has become a war zone, but others will enter this conflict, either with good intentions or evil.
