A new voice caused Lyla to spin around in midair and fling her arms out to catch her balance. As a result, she briefly exposed herself. She quickly forced her arms back over her chest and blushed violently.

"Yeah! We're not streakers!" Lyla shouted, in her tiny voice. "If we were, wouldn't it make sense for us to be anywhere besides a dark, freezing alley?"

The pixie sighed. "We were about to go find some clothes, and I don't even know if I can find anything that fits, anyway."

"I...." he suddenly flushed. "N-no. I don't often get hit by cars either." What was he supposed to say in this situation? For someone who had just claimed to have been hit by the car, he wasn't injured. And why would she think that was in any way relevant to him being naked? "Look, I just need to get back to my apartment." His gaze shifted over to where his keys, wallet, and shattered phone had landed.

Then, slowly, he rose to his feet - covering a certain area of his body with his both hands - and moved over to retrieve the fallen items, giving the woman a wide berth.

"Did the car hit your clothes off you?" Kathy asked, bursting into hysterics. Seeing the man stand up and awkwardly cover his manhood, she felt a bit of pity for the stranger. But there was something that focused in her mind. Hit by a car? So.... had he died? This man was naked, seemingly dishevelled. Had the stranger experienced the same unnatural event that Kathy had? Of death, and of rebirth?

Suddenly there was empathy, and so Kathy removed her cardigan, walking in step with the naked man as he tried to sidestep her. "Here, put this on." The cardigan went down to her knee, but probably would only just cover up the stranger's modesty if he wore it and tied it up at the front. Still, it was better than nothing.

"Um... thanks..." he said, taking the garment and wrapping it around his waist. He quickly bent down to retrieve the lost items, and then rose to his feet. "I uh... I should be heading back to my apartment. I have clothes there. I uh... I'm not sure how I'll return this to you..."

" How would I know how a streaker's mind works? Could be readying yourselves for a run through the high street for all I know, " Ivy retaliated, stopping and shaking her head only a moment later as she realized how besides the point it was. Naked in an alleyway, tears in the eyes, wings - okay the last part was not so familiar, but with her own strength going through the roof she could kind of see it - somehow she might just have stumbled across two people who'd gone through the same thing she was going through.

Did that mean they had also died?

She hesitated briefly before sighing, shrugging out of her jacket - the bitter chill of the late night air passing over her fruitlessly - and taking a step forwards to toss it over to the larger naked woman. Titty? Judging by how she looked, probably. " Here, you can wear that until we find you something else - but I swear, you ruin that jacket and I'll- " She cut herself off before she could say something harsher than she wanted to, pushing back the unreasonable anger.

Ivy's eyes drifted to the small flying girl, trying hard to keep her eyes above neckline - but it was kind of impossible with how small she was and the current perspective. " I... Yeah, I've got nothing your size, maybe you can, I don't know - ride in one of the pockets? "

Kathy's cardigan was woolly, and not terribly good at covering him up. A brief glance could show it was mostly see-through. That amused Kathy to no end.

"Guess I'll have to come with," Kathy said, not thinking before saying. She was done with thinking now. Now she would go on instinct. There was nothing wrong with a little spontaneity, she assumed. "That cardi is part of my iconic look."

Liam thought of how to reply. Perhaps something witty, to defuse the awkwardness of the situation. Perhaps something reassuring. Or perhaps a more detailed explanation of how he ended up in this situation.

Instead, he shrugged. "Alright then..." and began heading toward his apartment complex.

Eventually they reached the apartment complex. Fortunately, nobody was around. Unfortunately, Liam was on the top floor, and the elevator was out of service.

Five floors later, he reached the top, stepped into a hallway, and approached his door. He quickly used his keys to unlock it. "It'll just take me a few minutes," he said, stepping into the apartment and beelining for his bedroom - and in his haste he forgot to close the door behind him.

Five floors of being four steps behind the stranger was certainly an event. However, Kathy felt unnerved about the ascent. It was long. They kept going up and up and up. It reminded her of before. Of the long walk. The roof. The edge. The wind. Kathy felt her smile begin to fade. Somewhere out in the night, thunder cracked. As Kathy held the bars of the railing going up, the railing seemed to sink, as though it were not made of metal, as though it were made of dough.

Kathy removed her hand, concerned, and raced up after the stranger. She entered his apartment, went for his fridge, and pulled out a carton of milk. She cracked open the lid, drunk from the carton, then put it back.

She walked over to his bedroom and leaned against the doorway, nonchalant-like. "Boxers or briefs?" She mused aloud. "I'm guessing boxers. Get out a few pairs and we can have a little cat walk."
