And with that - While Guthix Sleeps has been completed in the marathon, and the diary of Ana Meken is complete. I posted the last diary entry on the end of page 13, and it continues all the way through page 14 and a few posts into page 15, to give you an idea of how long it is compared to others.

Tell me what you think when you finish it, was it nice reading bits at a time while the marathon progressed?

Well, in a way, she does start to enjoy the company of cats more, but that's only shown in the pre-adventure story, a few years after the end of the Ana Meken diaries.

If you're ever curious, more of Ana's story is continued during her questing in the form of "caption screens", for before and after quests. Some of it go into little details about Ana's past that wasn't mentioned in the diaries or other sources. For example, when Ana first reaches Ardougne in her adventure after leaving Pollniveach, she recalls moments of her past time living in Ardougne that wasn't explained here.

It might be a bit much to go and look through the quest video start/ends to find these captions, though, so, if you are curious on reading them I could compile them and write them down somewhere so it's easier to get to, if you'd like to read them that way.

It's quite a lot of captions though, one for every quest video including miniquests, so, 204, or 408 if you count both before and after separately. :P

In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed the story! I'm sorry you found the ending frustrating though - I meant this to be a sad ending in her past which explains Ana's staying home for years until 169 when the events that bring her to start adventuring happen. Fortuntely it was just the end of her diary, and not her story all together, one chapter ends and the next begins, in a way.


But yeah, tell me if you'd like to read the quest captions and I'll get to compiling them sometime - or anyone else, if you would like to read them.

Imo I thought the story was too short. The last act really came out of nowhere, considering the pace it was going. Either it should have been 2-3 times longer, or the pace much quicker.

Otherwise, I greatly enjoyed the story. The writing of course was excellent. As for the quest captions, it would be nice if you complied them, but it would definitely take up quite a lot of forum posts. Perhaps an abridged version would suffice?

Anyways, now that the diary is finished and GQM will soon be as well, do we get any Ana Meken merchandise? Let's pull off a Power to the Lore-Forumers, and vote between Ana-Meken "You-can-do-it!" T-shirts, and Ana Meken+Amascut bobble heads. First 10 orders get 3 bonus chapters and a plush brown cavalier. I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

Hmm, interesting, I hadn't considered the pace being too quick. The last act could do with being 2-3 times longer or the diary as a whole?

I dunno if I could make an abridged version of the quest captions, that would take even longer than just copy/pasting them into forum posts, the captions themselves took me a long time as is. :P

Lol, Ana Meken merchandise. The bobble heads sound interesting, maybe Amascut's should perpetually shake to show her insanity.

Also, I'll have you know, I actually do have a plush brown cavalier! :P With an ostrich feather, too.
