Guthix must sleep in order to keep the flow of nature gong, and to not interfere directly in the affairs of Runescap. Should the balance be disruped however, the druids are said to use a ritual in awakening Guthix so that he may destroy Gielinor and recreate it like never before.
Amazing story, I am absolutley amazed by it, as I myself have a keen interest in history.
As for Jas, the only knowledge I have is that he was one of the Elder - Gods that created Gielinor before Guthix came, and left for an unkown reason. He left behind the Stone of Jas which Guthix used to shape the world, and create the Runes, and much, much more...
