my theory: (the chronology of the arrivals of different gods in gielinor. I managed to consider major dieties, minor deities, gods of the desert and others)

1)guthix found runescape plane and created gielinor (the world) after what he went to sleep
2)then came zaros and saradomin, bandos and armadyl. (zaros is evil / saradomin is good, bandos is war / armadyl is order)
they created (in my opinion) their own races and minion, instored religions
3) after the gods of the desert came on gielinor: they simbolised nature. tumeken is the sun, and elidinis is life. they chose the desert as this place was where people most needed them. they got a son and a daughter: ichlatrin (god of the dead) and amascut, the devourer who turned into the "bad god" of the desert
4) i spose tumeken's dream happened now. did he really create the four minor deities ? why not.
5) now comes the mahjarrat, at the end of the second age. bla bla bla, you know what happen: the tribe is controled by ic*latrin, then by zaros. BUT zamorak killed zaros and so achieved godhood. (saradomin was good, but who was bad ? now zaros was killed... balanced needed to be restored and zamorak took the place of zaros, becoming the evil god)
6) the mahjarrat was divided during the god wars: most of them died, the demainders either followed zamorak, the actual evil god, or zaros, the ancient evil god. (so the mahjarrat was never any good lol)
zamorak, being a god, wanted to control the world and began war against saradomin. (bad against good) Bandos (god of war ) went to fight too and so did armadyl (order)
7) we start with guthix ? and finish with him too: he had been sleeping for a long time when the gods war awoke him: seeing the disaster he wrote a law saying that gods war had to take place in god planes (not on runescape). gods left gielinor and their minions waited, turning in ice.
8) end of the god wars. only the wilderness remains as a proof

9) but we are in the fifth age and the ice melts: gods war come back. will the proud human race be able to stop it ? (purpose of quests etc) will guthix do something or go to bed again ?
10) about the other gods: marimbo was originally the pet of a god, but he escaped and went south. we're not sure he became a god, but he's considered as a god by apes.
I supose Seren arrived at the same time as desert deities. they went east and seren went west. She's actually the god of the elves. note that they are the only race to be able to communicate with their god: they use the 'tower of voices'

cats are kind of a problem too: they consider themselves superior then humans and note that only bob the cat is able to teleport people to scaperune.
I had a chat with bob the cat (wearing catspeak amy and with a pet cat) you should try that's really interesting. bob thinks he's like a god and he also said something really strange:
"bla bla bla, i have no problem as I know I'm Zar... err, miaow ?"
BOB THE CAT = ZAROS ??? well that's quite strange. but as zaros was the god of evil, it could explain some strange things about cats AND make a link between gods, cats, runescape and scaperune.



I wanted you to know it.
NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOT FACTS !! ONLY SUPPOSITION BY ME !! DO NOT TELL EVERYBODY BOB IS A GOD OR HORRIBLE THINGS, WE NEED PROOFS

well, I see olyver has been quite active on here while ive been gone ;) . Anyway, firstly thankyou Ghost for your support, its always nice to have people helping you along ;) . Ok, now onto Olyver. Do not worry about me using false website information, as I do not use websites for the information I collect, I only use ingame and runescape manual information for this, and that is also the reason it takes me quite a bit to add sections to this, as of the reaserch required. Also, I got my information of them worshipping Scarabas from the Varrock Museum on the Queen Kalaphite section. Now, I like your theory quite a bit, exept for a few little bits. Firstly, I do not believe that Zaros was the god of evil, but he was really a god of mixture. Such as he had peace(good, order), but used force to have peace within his kingdom(bad, war). Although of course you may be completly right and me completly wrong :P .
Secondly, Although you probably just forgot to mention, Amascut was actually the god of Life and Birth, but was driven insane by the sight of the Mahjarret being brought into this world.
Thridly, Bob the cat being Zaros was confirmed to be a joke by a Jagex Moderator. I think cats are just favoured by Guthix.
Exept those few points, I think this is a pretty good theory.
Edit: also, having a helping hand around here would be very usefull thankyou, but the parts easily known and enjoyed to know(such as your theory) will be comming at the end of the thread, so we have still got a bit of boring(er) reasearch to do first.

(BTW, for anyone who sees this to awnser, ive had a few thoughts of a new skill, Archeology, and do you think i should make a thread for it, or do you think its just a bad idea?)
