-------------------\+/ Rough Tale of Varrock and Arrav(continued)\+/--------------------
But even though Arrav had the shield, things for Avarrocka looked bleak. The army of Zemouregal was vast and an army of the undead. The army of Zemouregal was unhindered, and they broke through the city's walls. While the city began to burn, Arrav fought with Zemouregal, but as Arrav saw the city burn, he threw his shield into the city. One of the Elders picked it up and used it against the zombie forces. The shield managed to destroy them. Zemouregal saw this with rage, and thus killed Arrav with magic. And so ended the tale of Arrav.
Afterwards, the city lived in relative peace, growing and becoming the capital of Misthalin. New trade routes were made, such as up and down the River Lum. Zemouregal is still alive to this day though, and he will return to Varrock with an invasion force again, but this time lead by Arrav. After all this, the Elders handed control of the city to a new monarchy.
In the early Forth Age, while the city was still called Avarrocka, for unknown reasons, a small force invaded the desert, and some of the number attacked Enhakra's Temple, though they were all slain or taken captive.

Between the years 1100-1200 Varrock proved to be an important defence against the Morytanian threat, as they were the only thing stopping the forces or Morytania from getting into the rest of Misthalin, until the Seven Priestly Warriors blessed the Salve.(more on campaigns in Morytania section).

In the first year of the Fifth Age, Fremmniks discovered Rune Essence, which if taken to the hidden altars made by the Moonclan, would turn into runes. This allowed Humans the ability to cast magic with ease, without the need to be very learned in the art. And so the Fifth Age began, the Age of Human Dominance.

In the year 17 of the Fifth Age, King Botlolph ordered a large sewer to be built below Varrock. It was finished in the year 20 as it was slowed down by Moss Giants.

-------------------\+/ Rough Tale of Varrock and Arrav(continued)\+/--------------------
In the same year as the construction of the sewers, a demon called Derlith was summoned, but luckily was quickly disposed of by the hero Wally with the help of Silverlight.

During the years 42-62, some Barbarians attacked Northern Kandrin and Mithalin, wanting to destroy anyone with the knowledge to create runestones. In the year 47, Varrock finally decided it had to get some defences up, but while they were doing this, the Magicians' Training Guild was destroyed. The attack ended when the Barbarians settled down and made camp while waiting for reinforcements which never came. This is the place where Barbarian Village is today.

Until the year 70, Zamorakians had been completely tolerated, but when they destroyed the Wizards' Tower, a massive anti-Zamorakian movement emerged. In Varrock, all Zamorakians were either killed or exiled, but the Dagon'hai Organisation of Zamorakians continued to exist and it assassinated Saradomin priests, until they were discovered by Varrockians, whereupon they retreated to their secret base, which is the Chaos Tunnels today.

In the year 139, many cities, including Varrock, put up dragon defences in response to the destruction of the Grand City of Crandor by the dragon Elvarg.

In the year 154, another Necromancer attacked Varrock, but was quickly disposed of.

In the current year 169, the following events have taken place: the renovation of the town north of Varrock, now known as Edgeville, the renovation of the Museum and the creation of the Grand Exchange. Varrock is still the only place in a position to stop an invasion on Misthalin from the Wilderness and Morytania.

----------------\+/Draynor Village\+/------------

Draynor does not have much of a known history, though it does have some. It was founded at some point in the Fifth Age but was taken over by Count Draynor, a Vampyre and relative of Draken. In recent times, Count Draynor has been killed and the bank there robbed.
---------------\+/Lumbridge\+/--------------------

Lumbridge is a small settlement which is where all new players start. It was founded quite recently and is owned by Duke (H)0(r)icio. Duke (H)0(r)icio is also one of the members of the Lumbridge Secret Council.

--------------\+/Edgeville\+/---------------------

Edgeville, previously known as Paddewwa and a mighty fortress of Zaros in the Second Age, is now a humble village northwest of Varrock. Paddewwa probably fell at around the same time Zaros fell, or at least within the God Wars. Now in the Fifth Age, until recently, it was known as 'Ghost Town' as only empty homes and ruins remained. We do not know if Edgeville was rebuilt in the past or even lived in, but if it was, it was destroyed again. In the year 165 though, King Roald rebuilt it and named it Edgeville. Also, if you ever wondered, (probably not) what the building in the south part of Edgeville was, it is a Mausoleum from the Second Age.

------------------------------------------------\+/The History Of Asgarnia\+/--------------------------------------------------

----------------\+/Falador\+/-------------------------

Falador was founded in the late Forth Age, but little is known of its beginnings beyond the fact that it conflicted with Goblins and lost. Modern day Falador was founded by King Radallinn in the Fifth Age year 8, and was able to hold off Goblin tribes with the new discovery of runestones and the help of the White Knights and the Kinshra (Black Knights). And so Asgarnia was founded. But within the city there was political unrest, between King Radallinn, the White Knights and the Kinshra, as they fought for power in the city. It should also be noted that the Kinshra and the White Knights were rivals even before the founding of Falador.
After Radallinn's death, Vallance became king. Vallance continued in his father's footsteps, and the city continued to prosper until it was nearly as important and as well known as Varrock and Cranador. But, in the year 139, Cranador was destroyed by the dragon Elvarg. This caused all cities to stop work on everything else and to concentrate on dragon defences, in case Elvarg should come to the main land. This focus on defence effectively stopped the growth of cities in this period. In the year 162, Vallance, now very old, fell dangerously ill. The White Knights saw their chance and took control of the city. They announced that the Kinshra had no power in Asgarnia and so the Black Knights, after many failed attempts to take the city, fell back to their fortress.

In the year 163, the Black Knights led an attack on Falador , though both sides were evenly matched. The Black Knights thus retreated to get more reinforcements for the battle. As King Vallance was still nominally the ruler, although the White Knights were now basically in control, he was relocated to a hidden place to be kept safe.

----------------\+/Falador(continued)\+/-------------------------

At around this time, Prince An(la)(f), the heir to Asgarnia's throne, declared Burthorope independent.
The White Knights and the Imperial Guard are rivals in the present day, so it is thought that this may throw Asgarnia into a bloody war. At the present day, Falador is ruled be Sir Amik Varze, the head of the White Knights. The Temple Knights have some bonds with the White knights, and Falador has grown in importance until the present day, where it is rivalling Varrock and East Ardougne in importance.

----------------\+/Crandor\+/-------------------------
Crandor, although only an empty island in the present time, used to be a prosperous and very important city. It held many wise wizards and warriors within its walls and was well known for its boats. One day, a brave warrior went into the depths of the volcano on the island, and found there the dragon Elvarg. He fought bravely, but was finally defeated. In her anger, Elvarg came to the surface and destroyed the whole city. Some people managed to escape on fishing boats to the coast of Rimmington, but the dragon followed and destroyed the camp they had built and killed them all. Only 3 people escaped; 3 wizards. Their names were Melzar, Thalzar and Lozar. They had a map between them showing the way to Crandor, but in a fight, the map ended up torn into 3 pieces. Melzar built a castle north of the refugees' camp, and has locked himself in there ever since. Thalzar kept to himself and no one really knows anything about him. Lozar was alive until recently, but was killed when her house was raided by Goblins (her house is thought to be the ruins next to the Alkadrid pass)

----------------\+/Burthorpe\+/-------------------------

Burthorpe is the only place in Asgarnia that is not ruled by the White Knights. It is ruled by Prince An(la)(f) instead, and his forces are called the "Imperial Guard". The town has been in a long, bloody war with the Trolls of the North, and still is to this day. Because of this, the area has pretty much become a stationary milatry base.

----------------\+/Taverley\+/-------------------------
Taverley does not have much of a known history, though one of the first Druid Circles were made here(excluding the one in the Guthixian Temple below Lumbridge).

----------------\+/Rimmington\+/-------------------------

Rimmington has no known history except of it being the first place the POH portal was made, and Melzar's maze is nearby as well.

--------------------------------------------------------\+/Kandarin\+/----------------------------------------------------------

----------------------\+/Ardougne\+/------------------------

Ardougne's earliest known history is that it was made the capital of Kandrin in the year 7 of the Fifth Age, although the city may have been there before this date. It was founded when Sir Ceril Carnillean's ancestor fought the Evil Mahjarrat, Hazeel, who was Lord of Kandrin at the time, and defeated him. Ardougne was then ruled by King Ulthas until the year 136 when he died, killed by a stray arrow on a hunting trip. Thus the city was divided between his two sons, Lathas and Tyras, with Lathas having the Eastern part, and Tyras the Western. Tyras recently left West Ardougne for a crusade into the west, but was unfortunatly killed and his Kingdom was taken over by a plague(which happens to just be the Elven Mourners poisoning the food).

----------------------\+/Seers Village\+/------------------------

Seers Village is a small town to the north of Ardougne, and as you can probably tell from the name, it is home to the Seers! In the year 132, King Arthur of the Britains came to Seers Village, and King Ulthas saw he and his men were good men and so he allowed them to have Sincair's castle here. Recently, Sinclair's children have killed him, and tried to take back the castle, but to no avail.

----------------------\+/Witchaven\+/------------------------

Until recent times, Witchaven was a prosperous fishing town, but when the nearby Fishing Platform was built, it went out of business. In the current day, Witchaven has only 23 citizens, and is being possessed by the Slug Menaces.

----------------------\+/Yanille\+/------------------------

Yanille is a heavily fortified town on the borders of Kandrin. Past the border is Felip Hills, Ogre country. It is also where the Magicians Guild was founded.

Catherby is a small fishing town to the south of Seers Village.

----------------------\+/Hemenster\+/------------------------
Hemenster is a small fishing village just a bit north of Ardougne. It is the site of many important historical places, among them the Temple of Ikov, previous location of the Staff of Armadyl, and the Big Plain of Mud, an area sacred to the goblins.

--------------------------------------------------------\+/Morytania\+/-----------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------\+/Rough Tale of Morytania\+/----------------------

Morytania in the present day is in the control of the Vampyres, with humans and other races only used as cattle for the Vampyres ever growing need for blood.
At first, Morytania was known as 'Hallowvale' and was at relative peace under the control of Queen Efaritay, an Icyene, worshipping Zaros. But when Zaros was defeated, Zamorak gave the lands to 'Lord Lowernial Vergidiyad Draken' who helped him in his fight with Zaros. Thus at some time in the Third Age, Draken descended on the Sanquinesti Region and captured the queens husband, **certes, so the Queen became Drakens survant in order to save him. The Vampyres tricked the Icyenes into becoming 'Vyrewatch' by saying it would make them stronger, but as the Icyene suspected something, they made an agreement with Saradomin, whereby if they were burnt, their souls would be freed.
In the year 1100 of the Forth Age, Draken was strong enough to attack Misthalin but his army was luckily destroyed at the River Salve by an army led by the Seven Priestly Warriors, who were called Iriandul Caistlyn, Sarl Dunegun, Derygull, Essiandar Gar, Erysail the Pious, Friar Twiblick and Ivandis Seergaze. In the year 1777 of the Forth Age, Settlers from Misthalin set out to Morytania to build villages north of the Myre Swamp thinking they would be safe, but Draken did invade north and destroyed all of the villages except for Port Phasmatys which was protected by the Mage Necrovarus with a spell, but the spell had a negative side to it, unfortunately, and the residants of Phasmatsy were all turned into ghosts. The residents of Canfis were replaced by Werewolves, and the citizens of Mort'ton cursed by an evil gas which the Vampyres produced. Burgh de Rott is the only remaining town which has Human residents in it.

--------------------\+/Canifis\+/----------------------

Canfis is a small village on the borders of Morytania, and is populated by werewolves. The town used to be a small Human-inhabited town, probably just a stop off point for the weary traveller, but since the coming of Draken, the townsfolk have been cursed, or disposed of, and have been turned into/replaced by Werewolves. Every year, the werewolves hold a celebration for Zamorak, to thank him for giving them that land and protecting them from the Humans.

--------------------\+/Burgh de Rott\+/----------------------
Burgh de Rott at the present day is the only place where humans live, even though it's in a terrible condition. and, to worsen it, a group of Tythers noticed this place, and brought it to the attention of the Vampryes.
During the Third Age however, it was home to a group of mages, before they were taken out by the Zamorakians(this is based on the AOG scenario, so though it may not be true, it's the best we've got).
