Sorry about not adding, I've been busy with end of semester stuff (including finals) and now am having to deal with things as a certain prestigious company does a thorough background check on me, pending my employment with them. But other than that, I'm on vacation! Yay! No more exams, or studying, or quizzes until I get back from my job in the Summer. (provided the background check doesn't kill it, which I don't foresee it doing)

But as such, I should be able to add again.

Now, about the TIPS on Nick. Quite simply put, I don't have them. Why? I use TIPS to help me remember background info on a character. They are made under three occasions:

1) When I make an OC
2) When a RS NPC does not have sufficient background info in the official RS lore.
and 3) When a submitted character has been around long enough that I feel it necessary to flesh out his/her story.

As Nick hasn't been in the story very long, I haven't fleshed out his background story, as such I don't have TIPS on him (or, if you'd rather, his TIPS are the bio that Dogone submitted for him.) Sorry about that.

Well then how about some TIPS for Orcris unless the trial and fail took up the chance. I figure you have to have TIPS for him with the amount of info I gave you to start for that hahaha. I was so much more naive than I am now.

Funny indeed how I understood the wisdom of knowing that I knew nothing so I could indeed learn much more. But now I have entirely grasped how much I do not know, the depressing part is that the amount which I would have to learn to know everything grows much every day. Funny how much I'm still interested in Runescape and such fantasy compared to real life, and I could live in that kind of world much more easily than I will manage to make my way in this one. Yes I'm picking on myself and remembering that video or whatever it was with the fellow bragging about himself in which you said that was me. I can honestly say I feel quite stupid for having garnered that kind of opinion.

“That went well, didn't it?” Amatsu asked.

Orcris nodded, still slightly off-guard. During their audience with Lord Owl, Amatsu had done most of the talking, and to Orcris' surprise, the warlock was both immensely charismatic, and seemed to know the inner workings of Lord Owl's court. When he spoke, Amatsu immediately became the center of attention; light seemed to radiate from his inner being, and even the most cynical of Lord Owl's advisers had, in whispers, discussed the possibility that Amatsu was an embodiment of Aither, the god of light.

Orcris himself had felt a growing sense of admiration and loyalty stir up within him while Amatsu talked. This worried him, since he knew it was irrational, and thus he took it as a sign of weakness that his mind was so quick to find faith in Amatsu. But at least, so were the Tenzoku. They had quickly endorsed Amatsu's plan; they would let the Zarosians launch an attack on the rebel noble ladies; and thus, the lords of Muspellheim would have their hands clean of any involvement, as it was a “outside force” attacking them. But, nonetheless could refuse aid to the noble ladies since they had snubbed the council. In exchange, the Zarosians got the sword they wanted so badly.

Orcris could have continued pondering how Amatsu had managed to convince them so easily, had he not been interrupted by a breathless messenger running toward him.

“Speak,” Orcris told the messenger.

“My lords, the warlock, Thomas, has vanished,” replied the messenger.

Out of the corner of his eye, Orcris noticed Amatsu's expression darken, and shuddered involuntarily. Amatsu was keeping his expression fairly calm, but his displeasure at this news was clearly intense. Through the slightest of cracks in his stoic mask, Orcris noted Amatsu's anger raging like an inferno. Despite this, the warlock remained even-voiced as he asked, “Do we know where he has gone?”

“No, my lord,” replied the messenger.

“When did he leave?” Amatsu asked, but quickly correcting himself, he added, “No, that is unimportant...

Dantalion.”

The demon, still in the form of Aquaregis stepped forward from the shadows. “You called?” he asked.

“The book,” Amatsu commanded, as if this explained everything.

“You know I know longer have it,” replied Dantalion, “I gave it to you, from whom Mephos stole it all those-”

“Be silent,” sighed Amatsu, “It is still your hand which adds to the book. Besides, you are no fool, I am aware that the one you gave to me was a copy, linked to the original, but not the original... I do not care if you show me another copy, but I will see the book.”

“As you wish,” replied Dantalion, bowing low.

With a deft gesture, the demon produced a book, bound in leather, and holding a single eye in the center of it's cover. To Orcris' shock, the eye actually looked around at the four people standing in the room. Amatsu, however, seemed unsurprised by this, and quickly took the book into his hands and opened it to the last page. Orcris looked over his shoulder and was surprised to see letters appearing on the page even as Amatsu read it. From where he was, Orcris could make out the writing:

“As the last hour of working passed on Muspellheim, Thomas Pliknip one of the warlock lords, lay in ambush near the the forest of Norflaar, watching carefully as the group chosen by Zamorak of Gielinor approached him, bearing with them a Fanzoku changeling whom they had kidnapped in...”

“So that's where he is,” grumbled Amatsu, closing the book, “That fool, doesn't he realize that area is enemy territory!”

“He may manage to kill the Zamorakians,” suggested Dantalion.

“He better,” muttered Amatsu, “If he fails, he'll lose everything, I'll see to that personally.” Handing the book back to Dantalion he added, “Keep me informed as to what his idiocy is accomplishing. In the meantime, Lord Orcris, if you would, come with me. We have to get our troops mobilized for the march on those rebels.”

Dantalion gracefully took the book into his hands, and bowing, retreated into the shadows. Meanwhile, Amatsu began walking toward the Zarosians' housing with Orcris in tow.

“Dantalion is the keeper of the book,” Amatsu said suddenly, “He is one of the seventy-two greatest demons and is also the scribe of the same. He has the ability to split his consciousness into a plethora of parts, and uses this to keep watch on the entire universe, and then records all things that go on within it.”

Orcris flinched. He had been wondering about the book Dantalion had given to Amatsu, but had not mentioned it... at least, not aloud. Flashing him a knowing smile, Amatsu went on. “There are four paths a mortal may take, Orcris; good, evil, balance, and neutrality, each has it's own scribe which records the world as they see it. You seem surprised. Is it because you thought of balance and neutrality as one and the same?”

“Yes,” admitted Orcris, “How are they different?”

“Balance seeks to keep good and evil nearly equal to one other in terms of influence and power,” replied Amatsu, “One who is balanced seeks equilibrium between the two. One who is neutral does not; a neutral person impartially observes both good and evil, never intervening, but watching the world run it's course, and trying to remain impartial to either side.”

“But are there any people that are truly neutral anywhere in the world?” asked Orcris.

Amatsu smiled at this question, and looked at Orcris approvingly. “There are those who CLAIM they are truly neutral,” he replied.

Orcris did not miss the emphasis Amatsu added, nor did he miss the look Amatsu gave him. It seemed to the half elf that Amatsu was sizing him up, although he was unsure why... He spent the rest of the walk to the Zarosian barracks deep in thought.

The heat was stifling, and to make matters worse, they were in the middle of a god-forsaken jungle, and he was in full armor. Iban smiled bitterly to himself; he had been through worse; nearly dying several times, just to have Zamorak catch his soul as it was trying to pass on to the afterlife. But that didn't make it any more pleasant to trek through this jungle with the limp form of some trouble-maker slung over his shoulder.

Looking around, he noted Zeryth was handling herself fairly well, considering her robes were drenched in sweat and torn in several places by branches. As for Azdejak, he was all but invisible in the vast undergrowth. Even Iban lost track of him often, worrying the chosen of Zamorak extensively. And thus, it was even more of a shock, when Azdejak was suddenly slammed into a tree.

Dropping Chris' unconscious body, Iban drew his blade, and Zeryth readied a spell.

“Well, isn't this a surprise?”

Iban and Zeryth looked around for the source of the voice, and then, he was in their midst. Both stumbled backwards, wondering how the young man garbed in black and red robes had suddenly appeared between them without a warning. Before either of them could react further he said, “You seem a bit lost.”

“That's none of your concern,” snapped Iban.

“Oh, but I might be able to help you,” said the young man.

“Do you know this area?” asked Zeryth, suspicious of this young man and yet still somewhat hopeful that he might actually be useful.

“Nope,” he replied, “But you know what they say, you get a better view from high-up.”

Before Zeryth or Iban could ask what that had to do with anything, an unseen force flung them and Azdejak into the air. Zeryth immediately lost her lunch, but Iban, having received extensive training remained fairly calm. As for Azdejak, he seemed to still be dazed from being slammed into a tree, and unaware of his situation.

“Isn't this fun?” asked the young man, appearing next to the flying Zamorakians. “Look you can see Lady Harrier's city from here.

Looking around, Iban noticed the young man pointing to a city in the distance, the largest buildings of which appeared to be no larger than pebbles at this height.

“Ah, but I guess it's hard to walk over there if you're floating, I better put you back down,” the young man said in a voice that made Iban flinch.

As he finished speaking, the spell on the Zamorakians was released, and they plummeted to the ground. From where he floated in the sky, Thomas noted the broken forms of Iban and Azdejak on the ground, and that Zeryth had been impaled on a tree. He smiled at this sight for a brief moment, and then his face darkened.

“You have it too easy,” he said ominously, “Dying that quickly... you must suffer more before you get your escape. Suffer... like I have.”

Having said this, Thomas teleported to the ground, and with a wave a his staff, restored the Zamorakian's destroyed corpses and brought them in front of him. With a hastily chanted spell, he brought all of them back to life, and watched in amusement as they looked around, wide eyed.

“Sorry, it's not that easy,” he teased. Hearing these words, Azdejack sped toward the warlock. However, before he could get within a meter of Thomas, his head was severed by a blade of compressed wind. Thomas chanted an incantation, keeping Azdejak's head alive, but in incredible agony. He then placed the head on a nearby rock, and turned it so it could see what he was doing to the others.

Zeryth grabbed her runes and quickly began casting a spell, but even before she had felt her magic rise up within her, the runes in her hands burst into black flames which quickly spread to the rest of her body, immolating her in a matter of seconds, and leaving only a charred skeleton in their wake.

Horrified at what had been done to Zeryth, Iban snuck up behind Thomas, raising his blade. The warlock was so busy laughing, he didn't seem to notice, and then, right as Iban was bringing down his blade, several boulders fell from the sky, crushing his very bones without so much as slowing their descent.

*Isn't this fun?” Thomas asked Azdejak's head, “Wanna see more?”

Azdejak's eyes widened. He had seen many horrible things in his line of work, heck, he had done many horrible things. But nothing compared to this warlock and his brutality. Before Azdejak's eyes, Thomas restored and resurrected the other Zamorakians a second time. No sooner had he done so, than a anchor appeared chained to Iban's neck, and the ground under him was replaced with a pool of acid. After watching Iban struggling and flailing. Thomas and turned to Zeryth and said, “So... I hear you like spiders.”

Zeryth turned a deathly pale. She had kept it hidden from everyone, even her closest colleagues, but she had suffered from extreme arachnophobia ever since she was a young girl.

With an ominous smile, Thomas gestured toward her. At this, a sharp pain shot through Zeryth's gut, and to her extreme horror, a long, hairy leg poked through it and tore a hole in both her robes and stomach. From this tear numerous spiders, each as large as an adult's head emerged, and each began to feast on Zeryth's flesh the moment it was free.

Thomas was rolling on the ground and laughing hysterically as he watched Zeryth scream in agony and horror while her body was consumed by an endless swarm of spiders, all emerging from her own stomach. When nothing was left of the Zamorakian but a fleshless skeleton, Thomas stood and prepared to resurrect the Zamorakians yet again.

He never got the chance. A powerful beam of blood red light shot through the sky, and struck him head on. Barely managing to put up a shield in time, Thomas managed to survive, but took a thorough beating. And he received no respite; the moment the beam was gone, a tall warrior clad in black armor with a red trim materialized before him.

Thomas began conjuring another protective spell, but was too slow. A scimitar of flames cut into him, and severed his left arm at the shoulder. For a moment afterward he was certain the scimitar had set him ablaze, so intense was the heat beating down on him. But once he saw the symbol etched into the warrior's breastplate; the symbol of a fortress floating in a storming sky, he knew it was not flames that were searing his skin, but the very air around this warrior. With this realization came fear; a deep unnameable fear the likes of which he had not felt in centuries. Conjuring every ounce of magic he could muster he willed himself to be anywhere besides in the warrior's presence. His magic did not fail him; and he vanished in a plume of black flame.

Once sure that the opponent had truly fled, the warrior removed her helm, revealing a dark tan face, flashing red eyes, and long, flowing black hair.

“He fled, huh?” she asked herself.

“My lady!”

The warrior turned and found one of her bodyguards saluting.

Sighing, the warrior said, “Give them a respectable burial, I doubt we'll find out anything about them by their possessions.”

“But, my lady...”
