Brodus
Before Brodus could think up some sort of clever response, Soahc had already appeared before them. There would be no punishment for not killing Ubaid. That was good - at least Soahc wasn't
that
unfair. He flicked his visor back up to talk to his new lord.
"It's quite alright." Brodus began. "Though I was looking forward to taking that ghost's soul, I have a feeling this little adventure will yield much more. And as for trust... that's pretty hard to come by these days, I'll admit - especially among people like ourselves. But..." He swept his hand in a wide arch at all the death and destruction surrounding them. "...So long as it it leads to more fun like this, I won't let you down."
"In fact... I swear on whatever honour as a knight I have left. And I assure you, what little honour I do have left is very sacred to me."

Joric Ironfist
Run. Run. Run.
It had taken a lot of effort just for Joric not to be completely left in the dust by Annie and Zed. By the time he had arrived and delivered his pun, he was out of breath, so he stood there for several seconds panting.
And then the River Troll came out of water. Which Annie then proceeded to set on fire. Which meant Joric could not engage it in close combat. Which meant he was useless.
No! He refused to be useless! Noticing that the troll was now standing directly over Kuro, it was time for some classic demoralization tactics.
"Hey, Grumpy Troll!" He yelled out, hoping that the beast would at least look in his direction. If not, he would continue on anyways.
"What, no riddle!?"

Alicia Vendal
"Perhaps he'd rather be in some five star tavern down south." Alicia said, locking eyes with Henry. "I'm surprised he even came this far." It was, of course, a dig at his seemingly upper class background. "Unless you care to prove me wrong?"
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
