Joric Ironfist
Joric listened to all the various conversations as everyone greeted each other, and discussed how things have been lately. "One hundred percent off?" Joric asked Zed, raising his eyebrows in fake surprise. "Must 'ave been quite a
steal
!"
He thought of all the various faces gathered around him, and what he knew of them. Monsieur Fredic*, the former Guildmaster, was a bit greedy but then again the same could be said for most of Joric's kin. He knew very little about Siera due to her muteness, but from what he had seen she was compassionate and deeply cared for others, and had the look of someone who had seen several horrible sights and will probably only see more. Zed had helped him fight Thazgar, and seemed to be a good guy - someone Joric could trust. Annie was definitely a bit strange, and while he was doubtful of her claim of being a demi-god she was clearly very powerful, but also reckless and a bit careless in fights. Kuro... Joric knew little of him aside from the whole horse stealing fiasco which he was now willing to overlook given how desperate the situation had been. Rovaan and Ethelddra he didn't know, but Ethelddra seemed to know Annie and Siera and Zed knew Rovaan, so they were probably good people.
"I've just been going around, fixing up and changing my equipment. I fought the occasional bandits or dark mages 'ere and there. Nothing too special. I'm ready for another real adventure."
Then, he looked at Ethelddra. "So what's the payment? I'll warn you, I'm quite the...
haggler!
" He laughed, before continuing. "Though in all honesty, the payment isn't that big a deal to me." Really, he had only asked so he could deliver that joke.

Brodus
Brodus looked at one of his soon-to-be competitors. A fellow soul stealer, it seemed. Although probably for different reasons with different effects. He dared not tell anyone of his swords enchantnent, though.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
