Kaisen rose to his feet, his final respects for the elf given. His attention turned back to the battle. "We need to find someone in charge," he told Zharoun. "So that maybe we can offer our assistance."
The earth shook. A giant shadow covered Kaisen and Zharoun. Something was above them, in the sky. They were afraid to look up, for they knew what it was.
The King Black Dragon landed beside them, sending powerful fissures throughout the ground and throwing Kaisen and Zharoun onto their backs.
A plume of black smoke rose out of the lava pit. The face of Anzaar formed within it, and the cloud surrounded the dragon. One head of the dragon was changed.
The eyes on one head became those of Anzaar, and thereby those of Agaben. That dragon head opened its mouth, but no roar came out, only a booming voice. Anza**'* voice.
"You refuse to fall to me?" it bellowed. "Then this dragon will be your undoing!"

The dragon roared, and it blasted a surge of fire at Kaisen. Kaisen dodged, and the blast incinerated the ground where he had been previously standing.
Kaisen panted. His energy was used up. There was no way he could defeat a monster so large.
"Kaisen!" called a voice from close by. Kaisen's heart sank when he heard it. He did not want her anywhere near here.
It was Kalda. "Kalda!" he commanded in desperation. "Leave! Run, now!"
The dragon smirked (if dragons can do so). "So you care for this one? Maybe I can use her to make you tell me where the dragon egg is."
The dragon soared towards her. "Or maybe I'll just roast her now. How would you like that, mighty mage?"
Kaisen's heart pounded. Kalda was going to die, and he could do nothing. Even though Anzaar had called him a mighty mage.
A mighty mage...
The words of Vallance and Lydius came back to him at that moment. It had been right in front of him all along, and he hadn't noticed it.
"You want to know where it is?" he spat bitterly. "You got it!" He turned to the mound of earth near Kalda where he had buried the egg. "Dragon, I beg you. Come out, hatch, and fight for my friends!"

------Chapter Ten: King of the Dragons---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hundreds of miles away from the battle, there was a place where no one cared. No one knew the drama taking place in the Wilderness, and, since they were already dead, they did not mind who won.

In Port Phasmatys, the ghosts went about their daily routine. Even the woman in the middle of the village. She had arrived several weeks before, and she gave some cloths to some living boy. Since then, she had not moved, or spoke, or done anything.

Andarra felt the surge of energy through her being, and a smile leapt to her lips. "It is done," she whispered. Her spectral form began to fade away. Her job of protecting the dragon egg completed, she disappeared into the afterlife.

The explosion of silver light was seen for miles around, and the battle halted momentarily to watch. The egg detonated like a bomb, creating a silver sun on the earth. As the light faded, all onlookers were stunned.
The beauty of the creature was unearthly. The entire dragon was silver and shining, and a cloud of silver glitter shrouded it. Its eyes were crystal blue, and its roar was forceful and deafening.
The silver dragon was hatched, and the battle had taken a new turn.

The dragon let loose a stream of silver flames. The fire breath cloaked the King Black Dragon, and the dark silhouette writhed in pain. When the attack was complete, Anza**'* eyes had vanished. The dragon was still alive, though, and it retaliated with fire of its own.
The blaze glanced harmlessly off the silver scales of the majestic dragon. The King Black Dragon, obviously aware that it was at a disadvantage (for reasons it did not know), took to the sky. The silver dragon followed in pursuit.

The KBD looped around in a sharp arc and rammed the silver dragon. The silver dragon recovered and struck back, but the KBD retreated, out of reach. The silver dragon hovered high over the KBD, and it fired a blast of silver at its foe.
The KBD dodged the blast, but the stream of silver blasted onto the battlefield below, incinerating dozens of demons. Curiously, the silver dragon's attacks killed only demons and Black Knights. All the White Knights were unharmed, even when directly hit.
Anzaar had threatened Kaisen by threatening those important to him. The silver dragon employed a similar tactic. It flew over the battlefield, slaying massive numbers of Zamorakans and forcing the KBD to face it in battle.
The battle did not last long. As the KBD approached, the silver dragon fired another stream of silver at the dark dragon. It connected perfectly, and the KBD wisely decided against fighting such a mighty foe. The KBD turned and fled deep into the Wilderness, the silver dragon the victor.
