"I spent the next few hours exploring this city. I saw several people, but there was something different about them, something wrong. And in their midst I began to sense horrible creatures hiding among them.

"There was one exception, though. There was a young girl, a girl that I now know as Sarah, that was different from all the others. So I began to follow her, wondering if she was the reason that I was here and afraid that these creatures would try and hurt her.

"And I think you two both know the rest of the story. But let me tell you something: both of you are different. Unlike the others, you two seem... normal. I still do not know the reasons that I was attracted to this place, but after seeing you guys in restaurant together, I knew it somehow involved the two of you.

"So there. You have my story and all I know. It isn't much, but I hope it helped."

The group sat in silence at the conclusion of Leon's tale, neither John nor Sarah able to believe their ears.

"You're telling the truth," John eventually said, more of a statement than a question.

"That I am," Leon replied.

"But that's impossible! The revolution you spoke of in Karamja, I remember learning about that in my world history class. But you couldn't have taken part in that revolution. Those events happened over five-hundred years ago!"

I've not read all the adds, but of what i've read, the story is very good. Actually, I like the prolouge best. While the rest of the story has an "off" sense about it and is mildly creepy, the prolouge, with its unique style is the most emotionally provocative. It would be cool to see an entire short story written like that.

An entire short story written from the perspective of a computer terminal entry or from an exchange between terminals?

I think you just gave me a very good idea. Off to the thinking chair!

(Lately I've actually been considering creating my own short stories thread. Something along the lines of "Elite's Nonsensical Ramblings&quot ;)

I've been thinking about the same style of short story thread. Having never finished a full length story, I think a collection of shorts would be more my style.

Ps. I expect the "Computer Terminal" story to be amazing and revolutionary, and also that you give all credit to me. :D

Of course I'd be willing to give you credit for the idea, especially if the story fails epically ;)

Watching the I'm Still Alive song again from Portal gives me the idea for a creepy/ slightly sarcastic back and forth between a would be survivor and his (failed) killer.

"Next time you try to roll a car off a cliff, be sure to turn off the parking break. Especially while the car's on fire.

And I'm still in it."

God, I can't get those lyrics out of my head now.

"I'm not even angry...
I'm being so sincere right now-
Even though you broke my heart,
and killed me.

And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you!"

This could be epic, assuming it doesn't just turn into one of those ideas I talk about and kick around for forever but never actually end up writing.
