They only have to be Runescape-related, though. Plenty of folks have written good story lines with feasible plots and linked it with Runescape. Like Siggeh, the Icelandic who mysteriously disappeared from everything. Killer dude. It doesn't have to involve magic, or dwarves, or summoning if you don't it to. It can just take place in Ardougne if that's what you wish. Dellanding, I dunno if he's still around, used to write a lot of sci-fi, and futuristic stuff. You could write about Runescape in the future, with modern day tech, mixed up with magic and the like. These stories can really be anything you want them to be, you just need to decide what that thing is.

Poller5: "It is okay to end a sentence with a preposition."
This is entirely incorrect. It is never acceptable to do any such thing
---
I disagree. Ian McEwan (a well established author, mind you, and many others as well) ends sentences with a perposition, and I certainly believe it is not 'just for the famous'. Many of my grammatical sources have not stated such rule, and even some did state so, they are incredibly outdated. Needless to say, the grammar section of this thread is far from helpful at all. Even if my contribution isn't accepted, or rather, so rudely rejected, I would still recommend a makeover, particularly that vocabulary part.
Star, it is entirely acceptable to write stories that are simply related to runescape. I set many of my stories in real life - there's nothing wrong with that. It is far too limiting to set everything inside RuneScape.

Englishkid, I've read through most of this thread and haven't seen anything "rudely rejected."
Unless the authors of this thread somehow have a massive change in personality, even a rejection wouldn't be all that bad. They obviously care about what they're doing, or this thread wouldn't even exist, much less be a sticky. Or I missed something in what you were saying about not being "accepted, or rather, be rudely rejected" and misread your intention in that line.

"Unicorns149, you can only post non fictional runescape related stories on this forum, not stories from real life experiences. Bummer huh :( ."
It actually depends on how you integrate the real-life references into your story, as you can have one (as English has done before) with it completely taking place outside of the Runescape world, but have slight references to Gielinor and such.

I don't get why you think we'd rudely reject you, English. I admit I have been slacking with updates to this thread and honestly forgot about your submission, but I'm only human; I make mistakes, too. I'll look over your thing with Poller when I get the chance, and we'll most likely have your piece (if not the entirety of it, then a portion) be entered into the guide. We've been told before that that section is not up to par with the others, and we hope to rectify that in the future.

Agreed.
Hig - Yes, we do care about this forum very much, sometimes too much, as many think.
Ethern - It's best if you advertise your story on the Story Discussions sticky, which is located at the top of this forum.
Thanks, all.
