Hello Capt! I have some questions about the story I plan to write. I just don't have a very good idea of how to explain it, but here it goes.
I want to write a story about a war but sort of a like a split story where I tell about both sides. Each side of the war having its own set of characters and conflicts. Do you understand what I mean? I was just wondering if you had any tips for a story like this. Thanks, and get back to me whenever it's convenient for you.

For a story like this, it's really important that you get the reason for the war down and cemented in. If you go on about both sides without a strong base, then it'll fall apart. ;)
A good thing though, for ts type of story, is that you mix the protagonists and the antagonists, making the bad guys look like the good guys or making the good guys look like the bad guys. A story that utilizes that aspect can be really fun.
Good luck and remember you can always come back if you have any more questions. ^_^

Hey, Capt. In my story "The Secret of the Ice Beast" My chapters have been two to three story posts long. How do you change that? I think I have enough description but the chapters are still rather short which makes it seem uninteresting. Could you help me change this?

Add more 'filler' to each chapter. Don't have the characters get right to the point. Describe sch*uff, add in other little bits and pieces (make sure they're relavant to the chapter though), and perhaps provide the reader with a twist or two.

Ya, Oooz, or foreshadow some things, if you know where you're going with the story. Description is nothing compared to subplots when it comes to getting the readers to know the characters, so use them, too.
Wait... does the guide talk about subplots?

Very nice guide, I haven't read all of it (hence the posting, I'd like to come back again when I'm in the mood to read more, so now it'll be in my Profile :P ), but so far it's quite interesting. I'm sure it's been a great help to many people :)

It can be loosely related, but it has to have some type of Runescape reference in order to be valid in the forum. Just mention something that exists in Runescape and you'll be fine.
O - Although they helped you, I'll give my input. I suggest you try to make you plot thicken a bit more so you have more to go on with. Filler can make things look less important, but sometimes it is also a good way to lengthen things.
Fsdragon - ^_^ I do, too.
