Hello there. Biographies are a semi-important aspect of the Story Forum. They are not to be overused, or if the author prefers, to be used at all. I’m here to clarify the biography’s role in the forum.
A biography is a character analysis answering predestined questions in the form of a short answer. A biography usually serves the purpose of inspiring character ideas to the author of the story.
If you are the one requesting biographies, I advise you to only use some parts of the biography. If you use it all, such as personality, you will end up with flat, two-dimensional characters.
You can get biographies by either requesting one from the Official Biographies Thread, though this is not recommended, as most biographies there are of low quality, or you can create a biography thread.
A biography usually includes these aspects: Name, age, race, appearance, personality, gender, allegiance, and a short history. Of course, this changes due to the specific circumstances demanded by each individual story.
It is extremely important to be detailed when making a biography, go as long as you see fit. Good, well-rounded biographies are frequently two thousand to four thousand characters.
Well, I hope I’ve helped!
